It was a cold windy day around seven fifteen in the morning and Walter found himself being lazy. Not that being up that early was being lazy. Still in order to become wide away he put on a pair of swim trunk and went to the pool. Looking at it he thought he could see some ice. However he was sure it wasn't that cold and jumped it.
...
It's cold.

Skipper had seemed bored and almost restless lately, so Gary decided to take the Squirtle for a swim at the pool. The trainer would not be swimming, of course. It was way too cool for that. The school really needed an indoor pool. Or maybe a hot tub and sauna. When the two of them reached the pool area, Gary was surprised to find that there was actually a guy swimming in the pool. Was he out of his mind? Skipper, on the other hand, did not seem to find anything wrong. He took a running start and jumped into the pool, making a small splash. Gary shielded his eyes as droplets of water splattered his clothes. Even through the fabric, he could tell that it was cold. Shouldn't the pool be closed in weather like this?

Oh boy it was a good thing no one else was around when he jumped in as the shock that ran through his body sure did a good job of waking him up. Coming up to the surface he gasped for air and shook his head. "Dear pokemon everywhere. That **** is cold." He muttered to himself as he moved his arms treading water in the deep end. Laughing to himself he heard someone else come in the area. Great. He thought before he saw a water pokemon, A Squirtle by the looks of it jump in. Hmm, maybe he should say hi. "H..hey." Walter then said in a shaky voice as he started to shiver. No he wasn't cold at all. Boy this was a bad idea to start with. "Nice Squirtle." He then said to the trainer before moving off to start swimming laps. Maybe if he got the blood flowing it wouldn't be as cold.

Skipper popped his head out of the water and blinked the water out of his eyes. He was surprised to find a boy in there with him, for he hadn't noticed him before. The water felt great to him, but wouldn't humans find it too cold? From the guy's reaction, the Squirtle thought so. <Hi,> he said with a friendly smile. He put his arms under his head and floated on the back of his shell. Ah, this felt very refreshing.
Gary observed the other guy's behavior carefully. He did seem to be cold. He wondered if he had thought this plan through. "Thank you," he said to the student when he spoke. "His name is Skipper." Gary pulled up a lounge chair and sat near the pool so he could observe his Pokemon. While he watched, he wondered how long this guy would last in the cold water. It was certainly something he himself would never try. He found himself hoping this guy was not on his team.
