Well, at least they managed to get the farfetch’d out of the sky. Seeing that the battle was once again split up, Serkan had to divide his attention. Hit by the spider web, the sandile was stuck in the area hadn’t been hit at, only able to move so far as the webbing would allow. So, he was open to a critical hit as the spider landed on the back of his neck. He let out a snarl of indignation as his anger point ability activated. His attack stat maxed out. He thrashed, using rage as he attempted to flip over onto the joltik. He also kicked up some of the sand naturally occuring on him, hoping to blind the joltik a bit. ”Rapier, don’t squash her!” Serkan barked, knowing full well that the sandile had acted without his orders. However, he didn’t have time to chide the ground/dark type as he saw that Khopesh was facing down his own opponent. Seeing that the rock type had seized up and was struck by the farfetch’d’s fury cutter, he knew the paralysis had taken hold. ”Crap…” He clenched his fists. ”Snap out of it, buddy! Use headbutt and leer!”Struggling to move, the cranidos squinted up his eyes. Khopesh had been hit three times by the foe’s fury cutter. He couldn’t manage a leer right now, but he could try a watered down headbutt, given how his body was protesting. He could only hope that it would have enough strength to at least get the farfetch’d to back off of him a bit. levels: 10 & 8 attacks: headbutt, leer, focus energy, pursuit, iron head & leer, rage, bite, sand attack abilities: mold breaker, sheer force & intimidate, moxie, anger point hit by: fury cutter & spider web, leechlife used: headbutt & sand attack, rage health: high yellow (paralyzed) & yellow

Gary winced as he watched the Sandile roll over on his Joltik. That was bound to hurt. And with that Sand Attack, she was going to need some help. The Cranidos would not be too much of a threat with his paralysis, so the trainer decided to focus on the Sandile again for the time being. Scout was a better match-up against him anyway. His flying and normal type moves would do a bit more damage. Right now, though, they would stick to his strongest attack. "Scout, help June out by using Poison Jab against the Sandile. June, you help him by using String Shot." He hoped the combination would be effective. June had taken some energy back from her Leech Life, but another Rage attack could be fatal. He would have to get her out of there as soon as possible.
<Aah!> June cried in alarm when the Sandile rolled over on her. She shut her eyes as the Rage attack struck her. That hurt a lot! As soon as she was able, she scurried away from the Pokemon on her tiny legs. At her trainer's command, she turned and used String Shot against the Sandile. <Take that!> Hopefully, that would slow him down so that he could not hurt her again. she wished she could focus on fighting the Cranidos instead.
Scout attempted to fly out of the way of the Cranidos, but he was partially hit by the Headbutt. Luckily, it did not do much damage. He glared at him, wishing he could attack him again, but he had to listen to his trainer. He flew higher before swooping down near the Sandile. Right after the String Shot hit, he hoped to strike his opponent with his poisoned beak.

”Alright, don’t let that thing jab ya’, okay?” Serkan pressed. ”Rapier, use bite!” The trainer realized they were focusing in on his ground type. Hm… if he got rid of the farfetch’d, that would eliminate a lot of his problems. ”Khopesh, use iron head and leer.” Maybe that would help some? Stuck even more than he was before, the sandile let out a guttural hiss, vibrating the air around him. He opened his jaws as the farfetch’d came close, aiming to snap down on the head of the farfetch’d and roll with it. If successful, the hit would likely do critical damage. Of course, regardless, opening up his mouth to the farfetch’d would cause him to be poisoned by the not-very-effective move... Khopesh, gaining confidence, leered after the farfetch’d before charging at him. If the flying type was in Rapier’s grasp, then the cranidos would smash him into the ground with his now metallic head. If not, then he would still attempt to ram into Scout. For now, the joltik was ignored. The cranidos was just glad that his muscles weren’t seizing up, despite the speed decrease. levels: 10 & 8 attacks: headbutt, leer, focus energy, pursuit, iron head & leer, rage, bite, sand attack abilities: mold breaker, sheer force & intimidate, moxie, anger point hit by: -- & poison jab, string shot used: iron head, leer & bite health: high yellow (paralyzed) & low yellow (poisoned)

It looked like they were ganging up on Scout. If both attacks hit, it could prove fatal. "Scout, try to dodge! Then use Fur Cutter on the Sandile!" Gary exclaimed. If he was able to dodge at least one of the oncoming attacks, he would survive. He really needed to get into the air where he could avoid damage. It was a good thing his Joltik was being ignored right now. "June, use Screech and Leech Life on the Cranidos!" Leech Life was the only damaging attack she knew. He hoped it would be enough.
Scout's beak hit the Sandile's mouth. Right when he made contact, he did a flip in the air, avoiding Rapier's attack. However, the dodge caused him to tumbled to the ground. Before he could take flight again, he was hit by the Cranidos. He glared at Khopesh in rage. He needed to stop doing that! He wanted to attack him instead, but he listened to his trainer and flew towards the Sandile for a Fury Attack. This time, he was prepared to fly straight up into the air when he finished. He hoped the troublesome Pokemon had been poisoned.
June was relieved that she was not currently the subject of her opponent's attacks. She did feel kind of bad for the Farfetch'd, though. He had saved her in the past. Perhaps he was not so bad after all. When the Cranidos finished his attack, she sent him a Screech while she ran over to him. Then she attempted to jump onto him to suck his blood.

”Rapier, don’t cha bite that thing! Rapier! I KNOW WHAT YOU’RE THINKIN’ ‘BOUT. DON’T.”Yeah, good luck with that, the sandile thought. He respected Serkan enough to allow the boy to train him, but the moment the situation looked bad, he was taking over. Already frustrated that he hadn’t been able to grab the farfetch’d out of the air the first time, the sandile opened up his chompers once more. He waited until the farfetch’d was close. Scout would have to come close, seeing that Rapier pretty much couldn’t move right now--that would leave Rapier in perfect position for both receiving and dealing punishment. He had to deal back plenty of damage; after all, this guy poisoned him. And, he’d be darned if he fainted for a flying type. Khopesh was rather proud of himself for having hit the farfetch’d. He was so happy, in fact, that he didn’t realize what was going on until he was screeched at. Perhaps fright caused him to freeze up, leaving him open for the little spider’s blood draining. ”Ignore ‘er!” Serkan begged, knowing that it would be troublesome for Khopesh to move right now. His muscles were betraying him, at this time. ”Focus on the farfetch’d. Ya’ll got ‘im on the ropes. Leer at ‘im ‘nd see if ya’ can headbutt!”But, the cranidos was still frozen up. He merely leered at the farfetch’d, hoping it would help out Rapier in what could possibly be the move that put the flying type down. levels: 10 & 8 attacks: headbutt, leer, focus energy, pursuit, iron head & leer, rage, bite, sand attack abilities: mold breaker, sheer force & intimidate, moxie, anger point hit by: screech, leech life & fury cutter used: leer & bite health: yellow (paralyzed) & red (poisoned)

Gary did not have to tell Scout to fly quickly into the air, avoiding the Sandile's mouth. It looked like both those two Pokemon had almost had enough. Scout would not be able to do much damage unless he risked being hurt himself, so perhaps it would be worth it if the Sandile went down as well. Then June and the Cranidos would have to duke it out. It was not an ideal situation, but he could not think of anything else at the moment. "June, use String Shot against the Sandile, and Scout, you use Peck. Then use Leech Life on the Cranidos again, June." He decided that double battled were difficult. Hopefully, win or lose, he would learn a lot from this experience.
Scout could tell that Rapier was attempting to bite him again. he would have none of that! He turned his position sharply and flew into the air. He flew circles around the battle field for a moment to catch his breath. Well, it was time to finish this. If he went down, he would go down honorably. He flew down as quickly as he could, aiming his beak at the Sandile. If he tried to bite him again, he hoped they would both go down.
June let out a breath of relief when they was no retaliation against her. It was time to help out her partner. She shot out sticky string in the direction of the Sandile to hopefully slow him down. Then she worked on sucking more blood from the Cranidos. How long would this take, anyway?

”Khopesh, you gotta snap out of it!” Serkan shouted. Turning his attention to the strung up ground/dark type, the boy stuck his tongue between his lips, thinking. Crap… ”Rapier. Rapier! Listen, he’s gonna hit you. Ain’t no two ways about it. You gotta bite him.
“Unless you wanna go down like a wuss.”That certainly did it. Already having activated his anger point, the sandile merely glared up at farfetch’d. He wormed around in the silky sticky string, freeing his head and neck only. He opened his jaws very wide--so wide that tears came to his eyes. If that farfetch’d wanted to land a hit on him, it would have no option but to enter his mouth or change direction so late in its dive. With the poison having taken its toll, Rapier sincerely hoped before he passed out he managed to take down Scout. Khopesh, gaining a second wind, didn’t require Serkan’s attention. He turned his head while leering to pluck at the joltik, using it as a pursuit attack. In a way, after all, if she avoided it, she would be running away. He didn’t appreciate being anyone’s meal. <Madam, I’m going to have to request that you close up shop.>levels: 10 & 8 attacks: headbutt, leer, focus energy, pursuit, iron head & leer, rage, bite, sand attack abilities: mold breaker, sheer force & intimidate, moxie, anger point hit by: leech life & peck, string shot used: leer, pursuit & bite health: low yellow (paralyzed) & fainted

"Keep up Screech and Leech Life," Gary said to June. She would suffer from the Cranidos' attack, but at least she would not have to go through the trouble of trying to attach herself to him. Plus, Screech and Leech Life were probably the best combination right now. He watched in dismay as the collision of Farfetch'd and Sandile caused both to faint.
Scout did not change course as he got closer to the Sandile. He no longer cared if he was hurt himself. He was no coward. He hit his opponent with his beak, but he also felt the effects of his bite. He rolled over the Sandile and skidded to a stop on the ground before losing consciousness.
June trembled lightly as she watched her teammate fall. Now she was all by herself! She gulped. She was not sure if she could win this battle, but she had to try. She held onto the Cranidos as he attacked. She let out an ear-piercing Screech to lower his defense. <Sorry,> she said, refusing his request. <I have to do this.> She wished she knew some other damaging move. She took a deep breath before using Leech Life.

”Good job, Rapier,” Serkan praised as he returned the ground type. Well, that was one half of the battle down… now Khopesh just had to get rid of the joltik. ”Alright, buddy. Ya just gotta quit gettin’ drank.”Easy enough for you to say, Khopesh thought through the ringing in his ears. He then figured out an idea. Hm… would it could as a headbutt if all he was really hitting was air? Regardless, the cranidos tucked his head in violently and rolled himself over the earth. He’d either have done some damage to the joltik or gotten rid of her. Either one was fine by him, both would be best. ”Oh… that’s clever,” Serkan admitted. He looked over to Gary. ”Say, that flying type o’yours! Strong one!” It was a compliment, if Gary could decipher what exactly the cowboy was saying. levels: 12 attacks: headbutt, leer, focus energy, pursuit, iron head abilities: mold breaker, sheer force hit by: leech life, screech used: headbutt health: red (paralyzed)

Gary glanced at Serkan and smiled slightly. "Thanks. Don't tell that to him, though, or it will go to his head." He chuckled lightly. The Sandile was pretty strong too, and the two Pokemon had made a good match-up. He wondered what would happen with the remaining two. He knew June did not love to battle, but she had to learn to stick with it when it got tough. "Hang on, June. Use Screech and Leech Life." She would end up being hurt, though it would be wroth it if she managed to get another attack in.
<Eep!> June cried when she was crushed by the Cranidos. She wanted to let go and run away, but she somehow managed to hold on. If she gave it her all, would the Farfetch'd respect her and leave her alone? Either way, she wanted to show her trainer that she was not useless. If this was her life now, she had to get used to it. She Screeched again before using Leech Life. She hoped she would be able to finish the attack before the Cranidos attempted to roll over onto her again or figure out another way to hurt her. She did not know how much more she could take or how much longer she could hang on.

After coming out of the headbutt-roll, Khopesh laid on his belly. Serkan merely lifted a hand to his face and groaned. ”You stuck, ain’t cha?” he questioned. The silence the cranidos supplied him with was plenty enough answer. Well, that was that. Still, he wasn’t going to pout like a baby. His pokemon had done very well. The cranidos winced at the final screech. He didn’t have much left to give, but at the leech life, he finally passed out. Snoozing peacefully, the cranidos was removed from under June by the red light of Serkan’s pokeball. The dark skinned boy looked over the pokeball. Hm… it seems that his pokemon being poisoned and paralyzed was what cost them, in the end. No matter how strong they were, if they froze up or got poisoned, that was the end of it. Stretching his neck this way and that, the Alamilla boy nodded. ”Thanks for the battle. Gary, wasn’t it?” Nodding, Serkan returned the pokeball to his pocket. Both pokemon up and away, he figured he should get them attended to before running into town to do some grocery shopping for the whole gang. They’d earned it. levels: 12 attacks: headbutt, leer, focus energy, pursuit, iron head abilities: mold breaker, sheer force hit by: leech life, screech used: -- health: fainted

As soon as the Cranidos fainted, June got off of him and scampered away. Then she looked back at her opponent in shock. She had actually won? She could not remember the last time she had won a battle. Of course, Scout had helped out a lot. She hoped he was happy when he found out they had won.
"Great job, June," Gary said. He was pleased that his little Pokemon had been able to pull it off. He knew that she could be strong with some practice. Hopefully she would enjoy battling more now. "Why don't you take a rest?" He took out her Pokeball and returned her. Than he looked at Serkan and nodded. "That's right. I actually decided on a double battle because my too Pokemon were not getting along. I think this may have done the trick, so thank you as well. Your Pokemon are pretty tough." And that made the battle all the more enjoyable. He still had to work harder, though, so that he became the best he could be.
