Battling Techniques Level I Class A

Miss Riverton hurried down the hall with her Tyrogue, Sport, in tow. It was nearly time for class, and she was running late. She knew there had been no time for that extra training. Well, they did have the time. She just simply forgotten to check the time. Every morning she and Sport trained near the front area of the school outside. It was very fun and good for them, for it gave them good practice that strengthened them just a little bit more. She believed it was always good to be in tip top shape for her responsibility as teacher of battling techniques. That morning, the two of them had been so engrossed in what they were doing that their minds had simply left the school and all their responsibilities, and they traveled instead to somewhere in the clouds as they trained. It had been a wonderful and amazing feeling, training, but the moment they snapped out of it, Miss Riverton immediately rushed into the school.
Luckily, she had everything set up and ready in the classroom. Also, fortunately, when they finally arrived at the classroom, she saw no one had yet come. She and Sport both let out a sigh of relief. That was good. "Well, it's time for class," she said with a smile. "You ready for it?" she asked Sport, who nodded with a determined look. Yes, this was her favorite subject to teach, Battling Techniques. She nearly jogged over to her desk and picked up the attendance sheet. It looked like her class consisted of Nate Kerston, Kiki Jones, Gary Oak, Paul Gruff, Iason Xanthopoulos, and Micah Allen. A few of them sounded familiar but others were new to her. It was going to be great meeting and teaching them.

Nate knew he was not supposed to run in the hall, but he was going to be late for class. He decided to compromise by jogging. His Shinx Chelsea followed closely on his heels. He slowed down when he reached the classroom. He was surprised to find he was the first one there. Maybe everyone else forgot to set their clocks for the first class as well. "Hello, Miss Riverton," he said, nodding at the teacher. He found a seat in the middle of the first column of seats.
Meanwhile, Chelsea bound over tot he Tyrogue. <Hello,> she greeted him. <Do you remember me?> She remembered him from a class Nate had taken the previous semester. She could not recall the title of it though.

Gary did not mind that he did not have much time to get to class. He would get there when he got there, and the teacher was going to have to deal with that. As he strolled down the hall, his Deerling, named Spirit, trotted beside him. Was it odd to bring a Pokemon like a Deerling to class? Yes, it probably was. Gary did not care. He wanted to show off his magnificent Deerling who was brave and not timid, unlike most of his time.
As he walked into the classroom, he noted that he was the second student there. "Good morning," he said to Miss Riverton. Then his eyes fell on Nate. He remembered what Zoey said about him being able to help him out because he was a Pokemon breeder. He thought it would be best to start up a conversation with him. He walked over to where he sat and took the seat to Nate's left. "Hello. You're Nate, right? This is my Deerling, Spirit."
Spirit stood in front of Gary's desk and smiled at Nate when his trainer introduced him. <Hi.> He found them to be quite interesting Pokemon.

Kiki decided to bring her newest Pokemon, a shiny Eevee named Ella, to class. She had gotten to know the Eevee a bit during the past few weeks, and she discovered that she was an absolute sweetheart. She was sure she would get along well with the other Pokemon. They just needed to train hard to bring up her skills. The girl carried Ella in her arms as she walked into the class room. The Eevee smiled contently and looked around curiously at the other people and Pokemon. Kiki chose a desk on the left side of the room in the middle. She carefully set Ella down on the desk before sitting down. Ella's ears were perked as she listened to the sounds of the room. She wondered what they were going to learn today.

Nate looked up when someone addressed him. He recognized the guy as Gary Oak. They had met the previous semester. "That's me," he said with a smile. He glanced at the Deerling. "Hello there. You're a very interesting Pokemon." He wondered why Gary had decided to bring him to class. Weren't Deerling supposed to be really timid? Perhaps this one had gotten used to humans. Nate looked back at the other student. "So, how are you doing?" He hadn't seen him in awhile.

Ayame full-on ran down the hallways, followed by her pokemon; Buizel and Glameow. She was carrying her Budew, because of it's lack of long legs... or arms in that fact. She slowed her pace as she reached the door, catching her breath, after running the whole school she was exhausted. She strolled in casually, as if she hadn't been late. Aya took at seat up at the front of the class, near the door. Her pokemon sat on her desk. She smiled and pet them.

The Deerling smiled at Nate. <Thank you.> He was glad that he liked him. Humans were pretty cool after all. His herd had been so wrong!
"I'm good," Gary said to Nate. He smiled at the compliment he gave his Pokemon. yes, Spirit was quite the Deerling. he hoped he could train him to become strong and powerful. There was so much he could do with all of his Pokemon. Hopefully, his classes would help him reach his full potential."I have a favor to ask of you, actually. I need some advice on two of my Pokemon. My Joltik is afraid of my Farfetch'd because he wants to eat her. Is here any way I could use food to satisfy both of them so they will get along?" He didn't know if the potential Pokemon breeder knew enough yet to answer the question, but it did not hurt to ask.

Nate listened carefully to Gary's question. That sounded like quite a dilemma. It must be terrible to have Pokemon that did not get along with that. The Joltik was probably also in real danger. "Food? Let's see..." If the Farfetch'd had a food he really enjoyed, he would probably stop trying to eat the Joltik. It could also help the Joltik feel comfortable with her team if she also had a reliable source of food.
"You could try making special poffin for your Pokemon. if you find the right recipe, they'll love it. It would probably be good for all of them. You could use poffins to reward your Pokemon when they behave." He had yet to try to make poffins himself. That was something he would have to do soon now that he had their Pokemon food down.

Poffin? Gary thought he remembered that it was a special treat popular in Sinnoh. Hmm... He had to come up with a recipe? That was not exactly his sort of thing, but if it would help his Pokemon, he was willing to give it a try. He wondered if he could suggest that the school offered a cooking class for this purpose. "I could try to come up with something," he said to the other student. "Thank you for the suggestion." Maybe he would come across something else in one of his classes. For now, he would try what had already been suggested to him. He wondered where he could find a basic poffin recipe he could use as a base.

Miss Riverton beamed at the students when they started to arrive. It was almost time, and she was excited. "Hello. Good morning," she said to the students who entered. She lightly observed them as they took their seats or stood socializing with each other. It was good to see them meeting and talking with each other. Class was always more fun when the students knew each other and got along. She noticed that two female students had entered. She recalled that only one female student was in this class, though she could be wrong. It did not worry her, for it would all be settle once she took attendance.

Like the other classes, Iason simply wasn't interested in this one. Techniques? Bah. He didn't need to learn about it in his opinion, as long as his pokemon knew how to fight and could use team work to battle- everything should be fine. But he showed up anyways, leaning against the wall with his four pokemon. All relatively small and fire types except for the rotom that always wanted to electrocute him when it was angry. Eh, might as well get this class over with and then have the rest of the day to do whatever he wished. Probably more training.

Paul entered the room with his Farfetch'd, Private, flying beside him. He nodded to the teacher when she greeted him but otherwise did not take notice of anyone else in the room. However, he did note that there was a lack of grass types, meaning a certain Chikorita, so he would not have any issues with Thorn popping out of his Pokeball this class. It seemed like very time Kiki brought her Chikorita he had to bring his Turtwig, and he had no choice in the matter. That was not an issue this time, though. He made his way to a seat at the end of a row and sat down. Private landed on top of his desk, but he moved to the side so as not to get in the way of his trainer. From there, he looked forward and waited for class to start.
