Ayame walked into the battle field, exploring the school a little bit more... And looking for a battle! She wanted to try out Bruiser, seeing if she would win against the other students. She ran around, looking at all the cool pokemon and filling her pokedex.
Aya looked around for a possible opponent. She sighed and released her Buizel.
He went around, splatting water at the passing bug Pokémon. It seemed that Ayame was rubbing off on him. |

Yami yawned softly as he sipped on a coffee that was in his hand. He had his regular attire white hakama pants, black kimono top, black tabi, straw rope waraji, purple sash and his purple haori. On his sash he had his five pokemon split on his right Bagon and Dedenne on his left his Vulpix, Pansage and Magikarp. He was hoping to find a training to help boost up the level of his Magikarp but only knowing splash it would be an easy win for his opponent. Hopefully he could then reverse them with his Bagon for a proper match. While Magikarp was pretty useless what it evolved into wasn't, Gyarados a powerful water type pokemon. He sighed as he headed to the battle area of the academy to find someone to fight.
He walked slowly scanning his surroundings as he sipped his coffee looking for an opponent. His eyes caught sight of a girl in the area with a Buizel a water type pokemon. He thought on it before he began to approached her throwing his coffee into the bin on the way. He removed Magikarp from his sash and spun the small sphere on the tip of his left index finger as he walked up to her, "Excuse me Madam would you be so kind as to assist me? I am trying to increase the strength of my recently obtained Magikarp. Of course I expect to lose the battle with it but would be hoping for a rematch to make up for my 'loss'" spoke Yami in a soft tone, he kept himself well spoken and polite as he bowed to the girl, "Ah where are my manners allow me to introduce myself, Hateshiginai, Yami of Team Johto" spoke the bishounen male politely.

Ayame turned to him, her tie swished in the heavy wind. She stared at him for a minute, not aware of him asking her to a battle.
Man, he's hawt.
She held her breath and her cheek grew rosy.
She started speaking, trying to resist eye contact. "Uuuh... I'm Ayame, and nice to meet you."
What was that! *mental facepalm*
"And you're hot... UH NO... I'm hot, isn't it cold. Wait what? Uuum.... sure! Uuuh, so I am going to fetch my pokemon."
She ran off to find her Buizel, hyperventilating. She fund Bruiser and led him back to Yami.
Regaining her senses, she said, "I'm ready!"

Yami kept his composure as the girl blushed and began to fumble with her words the moment she laid eyes on him. She quickly ran off to find her Buizel returning moments later having regained her senses saying she was ready. Yami stopped twirling the sphere letting it sit in his palm as he enlarged it, " Go Suijin" he spoke softly as he let the pokeball loose sending it sailing through the air. The sphere hit the ground opening up as a red beam of light shot out. The beam of light hit the ground and began to take shape of the pokemon stored inside of it. The light took the shape of a medium sized fish with large reddish orange scales. It had pink lips and large vacant eyes. Its fail and pectoral fins were white with three stiff peaked fins on its stomach both yellow. The fish flopped about on the ground in a completely useless manner shouting its name, "Magikarp Karp karp Magikarp!" said the fish like pokemon. Yami sighed at the sight of it, he just hoped it wouldn't take long for the damn fish to evolve. Level:

Ayame pulled out her pokedex and turned it on. It opened up with a flash and a happy jingle and a pokeball logo where revealed. The screen panned out and the pokedex's built in camera activated. Ayame focused in on Magikarp, and she turned down the volume instinctively to avoid the embarrassing description. It registered and she put it in her Phanpy Pack (haha, more pokemon puns). She looked up, and nodded at her Buizel who stepped foreword.
"Alrighty! Bruisel, use Sonic Boom!"
"Bui, Bui-zel!"
Bruiser jumped into the air and swished his tail. A loud boom could be heard as a wave of sound (slightly distorting the air) plunged to the Magikarp.

The wave of sound flew threw the air crashing into the fish pokemon sending it flying through the air where it crashed into a boulder and hit the ground flopping swirls in its eyes signalling its defeat, "Magikarp, Karp" the pokemon fainted instantly form the blow showing off how weak it was. Yami sighed and removed Suijin's pokemon allowing the red beam of light to fly out and hit the fish engulfing it in its light as it returned to the sphere to rest. He hadn't expected the fish pokemon to last very long considering iot was quite weak. Yami grabbed another pokeball but didn't release it just held it, "Now shall we conduct battle once more with a rematch? asked Yami as he tossed the pokeball up and down in the air.

Suijin gains 1 level!
Bruiser gains 2 levels! Bruiser learned water sport! Ayame earned 20 points for defeating another trainer's pokemon, 50 points for winning against a trainer from another team, and 25 points for winning with a pokemon from her region! ooc: admins, please feel free to correct my scores. this is my first time scoring a trainer vs trainer battle. |

Buizel let out an accomplished cry as it learn a new move, Water Sport. Ayame air punched.
Ayame nodded, "Yes, please!" She then checked with her Buizel, Bruiser nodded. "I'm ready when you are!" she shouted out.
She wondered what pokemon he was going to send out, Ayame got her pokedex ready, already in camera mode.
"Oh," she added, "Can I use my contest formations?" On her first day she had already come up with plans.

Yami spun the pokeball on the tip of his right finger. The sphere spun rapidly before Yami threw it into the air and grabbed it enlarging the sphere by holding in the button making it expand in the palm of his hand. Yami inhaled deeply before exhaling. He pulled his arm before and threw the pokeball letting it sail on through the air, "Come forth Seiryuu the Azure Dragon of the East Gate!" spoke Yami as the sphere struck the ground. The red light erupted hitting the earth and began to take the shape of his starter pokemon the dragon type Bagon. The blue bipedal pokemon opened its eyes and stared at its opponent with a fierce and powerful gaze as it stepped forth and pounded its chest, "BAGON!" it cried giving a mighty dragon like roar as its battle cry as it stepped up to the plate. The dragon began to dance using its own instincts as Yami folded his arms across his chest, as like always Yami would not be giving him commands but would allow the dragon to follow its own battle instincts. The dragon danced to only music it could hear as it performed the dance of the dragons the move known as Dragon Dance. It felt its speed and attack strength rising before it began to be fuelled with anger. The little dragon's rage built up as it released its battle cry and charged forward to hit the Buizel with a rage attack. "Alright Bruiser!" The orange pokemon looked slighty phased as the Bagon came racing at him, with enhanced speed and strength using the 'Rage' attack. Ayame pulled out her pokedex and quickly recorded the pokemon.
"Use your Aqua Tail to make a vortex around yourself! Spin while using it!" "Bui bui?" Bruiser sounded puzzled, but did as the trainer said. It swim around until the whirling substance of white water on it's tail streamed off and turned into a swirling vortex [of doom].
"Now use Growl!" Buizel let out a cringing cry, as to Ayame's intent to lower Bagon's attack back down.

Yami eyed his foe with a quizzical eye as the Buizel swam around in a circling utilise its aqua tail to create a swirling water like vortex. Yami yawned slightly as it headed towards Bagon. The Little dragon stopped its rage assault coming to a halt and moved backwards using its speed to create a little bit of distance between itself and the oncoming vortex giving it enough time to perform his Dragon dance once more to further boost its speed and attack to cancel out the growl its foe used to keep its boost. As the water vortex came closer Yami gave his first command, "Bagon jump into the vortex on an angle. Once you are thrown out of the top angle yourself to fly directly at your foe and use your rage!" By having Bagon jump into the water vortex it would damage him slightly and boost the strength of his rage attack as well as use the vortex to boost the dragon's speed. Seiryuu nodded and charged the vortex leaping into it. The dragon was thrown upwards through the vortex. He angled himself so he was thrown out of the vortex and aimed his form towards the Buizel flying towards him at high speed to hit him dead on with his rage attack. Ayame looked fantasied at the Bagon's strategic movements, using the momentum of the whirlpool around Buizel to attack faster and harder. Even though Ayame worried there would be enough time to pull of another contest move, she did it. "Use Water Sport!" Bruiser let out a stream on water out of his mouth at Bagon. (The equivalent of a hose.) "Now use Sonic Boom!" Yami's Bagon now was now closing in, about a foot close to Bruiser. Buizel quickly swished his tail. From the sound of the whirlpool and the streal of water he was already releasing, the initial be couldn't be heard. The wave of sound crashed through his Water Sport, the water shimmering and splitting into tiny drops, causing little rainbows everywhere as the light passed through it. The whirlpool swished about and swirled outward as a pulse-like wave.

Yami watched as the Buizel released a stream of water, water sport? Why use that it was a non-damaging move and spraying it on his Bagon wouldn't do a thing considering if would increase his resistance to fire moves. A sonic boom followed cutting through the water making it split into tiny drops of rain towards the Bagon. The little dragon flipped in mid air changing its projector y to head straight down. Seiryuu pulled his legs together and placed his arms by his side increasing his falling speed. He was clipped slightly by the sonic boom but didn't receive the brute force behind the blow as he flipped landing on his feet as they touched the ground. The little bagon stared up at the Buizel with a fury in its eyes as the strength of its rage attack grew again from being wounded. The dragon began to dance again for his dragon dance boosting his speed and attack strength even further. Bagon gave a battle cry as he charged forth towards Buizel with amazing speed as he became a small blue blur as he dashed towards Buizel to slam into the water type pokemon with his rage attack. Buizel let out a stifled bark as he got hit me the Bagon's rage. He fell to the ground and slowly got up. Ayame decided to revert back from her contest moves. "Bruiser, keep it up!" "Now use Growl!" She hoped that Bagon would cover its ears and stop running for a moment. "Follow up with Aqua Tail!" Buizel's tail was enveloped in a whirling vortex of water as he slapped it against the Bagon, or at least hoping. Buizel was ever so careful not to slip on the slippery mud made by his exsessive water attacks on the dirt battle field. Ayame watched as she thought it hit the Bagon.

Bagon grinned as the Buizel was struck by his rage and sent falling to the ground. The little dragon sneered as the Buizel used its growl feeling his attack drop from the attack. The water type charged in tail enveloped in a whirling vortex of water as it moved to strike Bagon with its aqua tail. The little dragon brought its tiny arms up to take the brunt force of the blow as it was sent sailing back through the mud. The little dragon shook its head as it began to dance in the mud performing its dragon dance once more boosting its speed and returning its attack to its previous strength. His rage began to build growing stronger again from the injuries it had received from the blow of the aqua tail. Seiryuu readied himself calling into a charging stance as his rage boiled to the surface, "BAGON" cried the little dragon as a red aurora surrounded it as his rage erupted. The little dragon charged forth eyes full with fire as he charged the water type hoping to slam into him with his rage attack again.
