From holes in its palms, it fires out GEODUDE. Its carapace can withstand volcanic eruptions.

Dragon Pokemon.
Why are some classed as Flying/Drsagon or Dragon/Flying such as Noibat and Salamence? As a dragon and if they have wings shouldn't they be able to fly anyway? Dragonite and drudggigon are both pure dragons and they fly just fine and learning flying type moves. Flygon is a Dragon Ground type. Rayquaza dooesn't have any wings at all yet it can fly.It seemed like a waste to plant Dragon and Flying together when majority of Dragons A) Fly and B) Learn flying type moves.

I also don't get why Gyarados isn't a dragon type. Like you said, he doesn't have to be a flying type to fly or learn flying type moves. He looks like a dragon and knows dragon type moves. You would think he should be a dragon type.

Plus Gyarados is water/flying yet he can't fly? What's the point in that? I mean Scyther and Dodou can't fly either so why make em flying types? Scyther should just be a bug and Dodou a normal type.

The flying and dragon typing would make sense of dragon was for dragon-like Pokemon and flying was for bird-like Pokemon (which would make sense of Doduo being flying). In that line, Gyarados should be dragon, not flying. I think Charizard should be dragon instead of flying as well. It's the Pokemon that looks the most like a modern dragon.

Indeed I fully agree. I also think Aerodactyl looks quite dragon like and should have been Rock/Dragon.

You would think he should be a dragon type. I still and will always agree with the theory that Gyarados was suppose to be the last evolved form of um, um. um ... suppose to be the next up from Dragonair instead of Dragonite. That pokemon looks like it would fit in that so much better then the ugly orange Barney with wings. Sorry Dragonite fans, but as cool as that pokemon is, that is what I think.

that's the theory i follow too, then they would make more sence. Yea and Magikarp's next form I think would make more since as another fish. Like maybe in the form of a beta fish or something. Leaving Dragonite it's own single formed pokemon.

or they would give it like magikarp, a fish with fins on the places as arms and legs and small wings, and then dragonite

I guess that makes sense. However something that doesn't to me is Larvitar. Who evolves into Pupitar then Tyranitar. Larvitar and Tyranitar in that line I get, but Pupitar doesn't look like either one of those.
Also their info thing.
Larv; A Pokémon that eats soil. Once it has eaten a large mountain, it goes to sleep so it can grow.
So trainers got to let it eat a mountain? And what?
Pupi; Its body is as hard as bedrock. By venting pressurized gas, it can launch itself like a rocket. Its shell is as hard as sheet rock, and it is also very strong. Its thrashing can topple a mountain.
Whats with pokemon and gas and mountains? Tyran; The quakes caused when it walks make even great mountains crumble and change the surrounding terrain.
So then shouldn't the world always be having an earthquake and be flat?

machamp: this pokemon can lift entire mountains with one hand, so if it punches something wouldn't it be pulverized? Magikarp: can jump over entire mountains, so when it gets attacked it can just launch itself into it and break its everything.
