The Media Center
Ah, the media center. The place where nerds roam free in the library and virtual light shines in the dead of the night.
When you walk into the Media Center there is a reception area and 2 doors. The desk is straight ahead and is where a student class president tends to be standing with a big, silly grin on their face and typing who knows what into their computer. The door on the left is painted white on a pinewood and has a lovely, fancy, gold handle on it. The second door on the right is painted black on hardwood with a shining, silver, fancy handle.
The white door leads to the Library. A place filled to the rooftop with books of all genres: fiction, non-fiction, mystery, adventure, science-fiction, romance, comedy, drama....the list is endless. There are several chairs, tables and sofas dotted around the large room - waiting to be sat on. The library system is very organized and I wouldn't recommend messing it up, otherwise Chelsea (the Librarian) might be a little annoyed and hang you upside down in a tree. To take out a book you must take it to Chelsea who sits at her desk right next to the white door when you enter the room.
The ebony colored door opens into a very dark room, with desks and laptops with strange auras along the edges near the windows. There are windows against every wall and each has a very gray blind that most people who come in here tend to pull down in order to keep the room dark. This is the Research Room. There are laptops and ultra-new computers on the desks which never seem to be switched off. Here you can satisfy your virtual needs and can even take a Laptop with you to your dorm. That is...If Evan likes you....Evan is the student in charge of the Research Room and is very creepy. He can easily sneak up on people and scare them and his mysterious glasses hide his nerdy face. But if he likes you you're safe!
