Nate had to admit that the Swift with the Sand Attack looked really pretty, though it did not seem to do much for Sandy except prevent the attack from working. It hadn't done any damage to Watcher. "That would be great in a contest battle," he commented. She would probably earn points for it, but that was not how this battle was set up. Fortunately for December and Sandy, they did not have to attack for the Eevee to be weakened, for the poison still had an effect on him. If he didn't knock the Sandshrew out now, it would probably be enough to do him in the next turn. They would have to act quickly. "Watcher, now use Tackle!"
Watcher was surprised when Sandy's swift made contact with the sand. It actually looked pretty cool. A second later he shook his head to remind himself that this was a battle. It did not look like his opponent would attack him, so he went ahead with his trainer's orders. He surged forward, hoping to run into the Sandshrew. He did have to admire her spirit. He liked that she didn't seem ready to give up. Win or lose, this battle would be great experience for both of them.

As if she was frozen in some headlights somewhere on a dark road, December heard what Nate said, but for a moment she just stood there. Only after she heard Sandy yell out to her did she snap herself out of it. Blinking she called back at Nate. "Um oh. Thank you." After all he was polite to her compliment before so she should be nice to his. That and the maroon haired girl was just a generally nice person anyways.
"Sandy dodge!" She then shouted as she saw the Eevee coming at her Sandshrew. Watching Sandy stood her ground until the pokemon was almost on top of her. "spin left now." December cried out and sandy spun to her left. She used the loose snow under her feet to help her slid. "Scratch." The girl then called out as she saw that the Eevee just barely by what looked like a mere inch if not less missed. Sandy was tired, but she still attempted to use scratch on the Eevee none the less. Watcher was panting heavily as he stopped running. Dang, he had missed. Was there still time to try again? He turned to face the Sandshrew again only to get scratched in the face. That along with the poison was enough to make him collapse on the ground. He had fainted.
Nate watched in shock as his Pokemon was defeated. "Watcher!" He rushed over to his Eevee's side and picked him up in his arms. It looked like he could use some medical care. "You did a good job." He had fought hard, and he was proud of him. It had been a close battle. He turned to December and gave her a small smile. "That was a great battle. Your Sandshrew is very strong." Those last couple of moves had been very impressive. Both trainer and Pokemon had a lot of heart, which made Nate determined to practice more and become even stronger.

In all honest Ember was surprised that Sandy had been able to dodge, it had been a very close battle and as it seemed they had won December smiled. As the Eevee was recalled and what not she walked forward. She was heading to Sandy when the Sandshrew collapsed herself. "Oh Sandy!" She called out as she ran to her Pokemon who was too tired to stand. "You did good now rest. Okay?" She told the yellow Pokemon as she recalled her. Looking at Nate she smiled softly while getting into her back pack and pulling something out.
"Here, for Watcher." She said as she held out an antidote for the boy to take. After her last battle she had gotten one to give to the next person she battled against if their Pokemon was poisoned. "You and Watcher are also really strong. We just got lucky the snow was slippery and helped." She said calmly and softly as she stood there holding Sandy's pokeball.

Nate hoped the Sandshrew would be alright. It looked like she was pretty tired as well. He was surprised when December handed him an antidote bottle. It would heal Watcher from his poisoned condition. He shuffled the Eevee around in his arms so that he could take it. "Thank you. That's nice of you." He liked the girl, and he thought she would be a good person to get to know. He sprayed Watcher with the body and saw him relax slightly. Now all he would need was a long rest and he would be good to go. He put the antidote away before taking out his Pokeball and returning the Eevee.
He glanced at December when she complimented them on the battle. "Thanks. Sometimes little things like that matter." He shrugged. It was all part of battles. There were some things he knew he had done wrong, but he would learn from them and make better choices the next time. Plus, Watcher had gained some experience. A question suddenly came to his mind. "Say, which team are you in? I'm part of Sinnoh." He could not remember seeing her around his dorm hall, but that could have just been a coincidence. OOC: Mod?

Ember was happy to help him and his pokemon. She was a shy girl who had a big heart. This was also her first every battle win. Of course it was only her second battle as well. Still that really didn't matter now did it? Unlike the last person she battled and lost to she wasn't going to cheer and rub it in his face a bit that she had won and he had not. Then again she didn't think the Unova cowboy had meant to do that either, and it just happened that way.
At the thank you she nodded her head to him and watched as he took it and sprayed his pokemon. Her heart really did go out to the pokemon. He seemed so friendly and nice, that she just hated seeing him in pain and passed out. "Same here and your welcome." She said politely to him as she looked down at the ground. When he asked what team she was on and said he was from Sinnoh she smiled widely. "I am also on team Sinnoh." She said quietly as she looked up at him. Well it was very nice meeting and battling a team mate.

Nate smiled back at her. So, she was his teammate? That was pretty cool. He would have to make a note to look out for her from now on. It was great that they had been able to help each other out through a battle. That was what they were supposed to do, right? Make each other stronger. If they both worked hard, they could help raise Sinnoh to the top. "Awesome. Maybe I'll see you around later." The only other Sinnoh member he knew was his roommate Paul, and the two of them were less than friendly with each other. It was good to have at least one teammate he could get along with.

It was nice meeting a team mate, he was a boy and normally she was so shy and super red faced around them, but not with Nate. He was different. It was good different as well. The maroon haired girl felt she could trust him. Well wasn't it a good idea to be able to trust your team mates? Indeed. Nodding her head she spoke softly once more. "Yes, maybe." It was simple, but she then turned to move off. "Well goodbye." She said as she then walked off to go do how knows what.
