Kagirinai is tall for his age reaching six feet four inches weighing an evenly one hundred and sixty five pounds. His skin while not tan or a sickly pale it is a lighter shade of skin. Kagirinai is a rather calm individual with a passion for science. As a scientist he studies biology, medicine, chemistry and psychics in order to improve his knowledge on the world around him. He conducts numerous experiments using his own bedroom as his laboratory. From a young age Kagirinai was obsessed with studying anything he found an interest in this included dissecting and breakdown hazardous chemicals even going as far as to try and dissect the corpses of pokemon he found in order to study there internal structure.
He was even through the process of sneaking into the laboratory of Professor Birch in his home of Littleroot Town to read his journal entries and study the pokemon in the lab. Kagirinai was so enthusiastic and obsessed with his research he collected blood samples of pokemon he analysed the chemicals in their bodies in order to study their DNA. Outside of human interest he tested many theories he had with multiple dangerous chemicals cause a dangerous chemical reaction one day that left him scarred on the left side of his face and blind in the left eye. Due to his scientific nature this side often comes out and he gains a more perhaps sadistic mind. When he enters what could be referred to as his 'scientific mind' he becomes crazed with the idea of research often referred to by his parents as the mad scientist state.
Having been raised with two parents both medics and skilled in the ways of medicine Kagirinai was raised learning these ways and often participated or watched when he was younger, his parents working. Since being exposed to surgeries at a young age Kagirinai's mind naturally developed faster as being exposed to the insides of the human body day by day become a natural occurrence for him he gained a tolerance to such gruesome sights as soon things such as bones, organs and blood no longer began to effect him.

Kagirinai was born in the town of Littleroot to parents, father Ikazuchiarashi, Raijin and mother Ikazuchiarashi, Hana. Kagirinai;s parents were both professionals in the field of medicine. Kagirinai was raised in a stable and loving house hold where he was taught to read and write by his parents as well as to walk and utilise tools that come day to day. While living with his parents he was always surrounded by the medical equipment owned by his parents as well as the patients and would often be sitting down watching his parents work on their patient’s every day. From the small age of four he began curious with the ways of the medic and would often even ask his parents if you could help them out. For the first few years he would just stand and watch patiently while his parents instructed him and showed him how they did things of course with patient consent. By the age of six held a general idea of the human body and few tools used by medics. At five he was allowed to assist his parents becoming a sort of assistant often bringing the necessary tools or patients to his parents even watching in on surgeries thus creating a tolerance to blood, organs and bones at a young age allowing him to talk about them as if they were a normal thing which often would disgust most who interacted with the boy.
While at school Kagirinai was often bored by the material taught as his child mind had grown rapidly due to being exposed to a high level of thinking since he was rather young. He would often remain on his own reading books that most teenagers would shy away from that even most adults would only read if needed. By ten books such as the dictionary or medical journals became simple relaxation material. It was at ten that he began to form an obsession with pokemon wanting to study them from their genetic make up to their internal being. With his parents help they taught him to dissect the corpses of pokemon they found on their journeys to oldale. It was during this time Kagirinai began to experiment with chemical compounds and sneak into professor birches lab to copy his notes or study the pokemon that was at the lab.
By twelve Kagirinai began to experiment with deadly chemicals that one day caused a violent explosion that left his left eye scared and blind leaving only his right. This did not deteriorate him it only fuelled his desire to learn. His room became his laboratory with the help of his parents. By sixteen Kagirinai had began to dream of capturing many pokemon to study and experiment with in order to do this he would need to become a pokemon trainer but the best place to learn about pokemon would be cherilli academy. With his mind set Kagirinai began to prepare himself to join the academy by saving funds form his part time work with his parents in the clinic they had built next to their home. By eighteen he had enough money to enrol himself into cherilli academy with the interest to only learn about pokemon making friends was not part of his criteria.
