A Return to the Cave [Rameses/Rae/Mod]

Unfortunately for the itchy-fingered Lucario, he had no targets to speak of and his attack was wasted. Funny as one may consider themselves to be, humor didn't cure idiocy in the slightest. While the oh so powerful creature was busy stroking his own ego and talking to himself, the entirety of the party linked to Rae and his Kadabra, had been transported outside of the cave.

As they arrived, Rae smirked slightly. "Listen, Rameses and I are going to take care of this. I know it's a tough pill to swallow, but the rest of you need to stay." For once, the smoker actually sounded a bit authoritative and stern. He only hoped that the creatures could understand not only his words, but his intentions...

There was a ferocity in his eyes and he looked quickly toward the boy in the orange hat. "Rameses, c'mon we're going to defeat that thing and rescue the pooch."  With that, Rae and his Kadabra broke physical bonds with everyone else and stepped to the mouth of the cave, waiting for Rameses to come and grab on. Once the boy did, Rae would tell his yellow Pokemon to teleport them back to where they had just been, so they could begin to resolve the situation.

While it was true that the Pack was strong and eager to help in the fight, Rae knew that he and the kid must do it on their own. There was much on the line and the big dog's daughter was in danger, and that was exactly what Rae wanted. He knew that with dull classrooms, textbooks and monotonous-monolog; he would never become a real Pokemon trainer.

He would never develop and he would never grow. He would be subject to the same fates as all the other students. A fate of normality and at best, an average title and standing as a Pokemon trainer. The chain-smoker wanted more than that. He had already shown his potential was far greater than the rest and he knew in his heart that he was destined to become something none of them could ever even dream of, something they had never seen before...

Since leaving Cherilli, he had already defeated a Battle Leader and his Pokemon had matured substantially. If anything, the academy was only holding everyone back. Rae had simply been the first one to realize this. Now, there was nothing to hold him back and nothing to stop him. There was nothing to lose. As his palm once again landed atop the Kadabra's shoulder and he looked toward the members of Pack, he offered a soft, peaceful, reassuring smile.

Not only would he and the boy defeat the arrogant creature and bring back the pooch, but they would do it, in style.
