Personality: Axel is a quiet and reserved individual. He has a strongly-felt internal sense of duty, which tends to give him a serious air and the motivation to follow through on tasks. While he does tend to take things seriously, he sometimes has an off-beat sense of humor. He is very loyal to his friends, and tries his hardest to follow through with any promises he makes to them. Though he is not fond of breaking the rules, but if doing so means that it will help his friends out of a tough spot, he will do so. With his strong sense of duty, he finds it hard to say "no" to those he cares about.
History: Axel was born in the Hoenn region along with his older brother, Kyle. However, a few days after his birth, Axel's mother passed away, and Axel, along with his father and brother, moved to the Unova region and settled in Accumula Town. Despite moving away from Hoenn, Axel's father was still haunted by the death of his wife, and he began to act strangely. Whenever he was around Axel, he would just stare at him, seemingly blaming the child for the death of his wife. One day, the father woke early in the morning, and placed Axel inside of a baby basket, preparing to take him to the neighboring city and place him on a stranger's doorstep. However, as soon as the father opened the door, Kyle had run up to his father, and managed to convince him not to abandon Axel. However, ten years later, on the day that Kyle left on his pokemon journey, Axel was shipped off to his Aunt and Uncle's home in Castelia. The boy lived with his Aunt and Uncle up until the day he turned sixteen, when he was sent to Cherillia Academy, so that he could learn more about the world of Pokemon before he set off on his own journey.
