Luigi can be quite a cheerful young lad. Almost always, he has a smile on his face. He enjoys putting a smile on other people's faces. In his opinion, a smile is needed to create a smile. He believes that he can't get a smile on anyone's face if there isn't one on his own.
He also has a side of him that he keeps guarded. He doesn't like to let anyone to get too close to him. He's seen people get hurt by people they supposedly love, and he refuses to let that happen to him. So, in that aspect of his life, he keeps up a rather large wall. Luigi doesn't feel right whenever he lets his guard down, that's how long he's had his guard put up.
This is a guy who is devoted to his work. He loves to play music that other people enjoy. It gives him happiness to see that others like the work he does for them. Luigi doesn't take on more than one task at one time. He feels that if he does, one task will take away from the other and both will come out worse for that. He wants everyone to get his best work, not something that isn't as good as it could be.
If someone makes Luigi angry or upset, he can be rather unforgiving. He does forgive people, but it takes a longer time for him to forgive someone than it does someone else. He is a grudge holder. He tends to forget the reason for the grudge before he forgives anyone. He will admit that this probably isn't the best way of handling things, but this is how he deals with those people who do upset him in some way.
He likes to be involved in the happenings of the world around him. He finds that keeping himself involved is the best way to get to know other people. Being involved also gives him something to do when he isn't practicing his singing. Though, he can usually be found out and about somewhere practicing, he isn't averse to taking small breaks. This also helps him whenever he's feeling down.
Luigi has been called insensitive at times. This may be due to his just telling it like it is, and not 'sugar coating' anything he says. He isn't the best at consoling people for this very reason. He refuses to say he's sorry for this, because he just isn't sorry for telling how he thinks a situation is. He just doesn't feel that 'sugar coating' will make anything better.
This lad is one disorganized person. Enter his room and one shall find an cluttered mess. He claims this is how he is able to find things. That when he cleans, he can't find what he needs. He understands that there are other people out there who do not like the disorganization that is his room, so whenever he has to room with or otherwise stay with someone like that, he tries to be as clean as he possibly can.
History: Luigi was born the oldest of three. Though, technically he is the same age as his younger sister as they are twins. He was born in the Kanto region, but when he was about nine and a half years old, his parents made the decision that they were going to move to the Kalos region. The move took a few years to do, and when it was complete, Luigi was about thirteen years old. He didn't know exactly why it took so long. Though, he later learned it was because his parents couldn't decide on exactly where they wanted to live.
Luigi and his family eventually ended up living in Lumiose City. His family said he wasn't allowed to get his first pokemon when they got there, they wanted to have him wait until he got to know a little about the new region. He eventually agreed to this, though he was by no means happy about this. It hurt him to think that his parents didn't trust him enough to get a pokemon. But he did see some of their logic. So, he would wait. It was about a year later that he was told even more news. He was told that he and his twin sister, with the possibility of his younger brother, were being sent to this pokemon academy.
He honestly didn't know what to say to this news. So, the young teen said absolutely nothing. Luigi did not even say good bye to his parents before he and what he considered to be the only true family he had left for Cherilli Academy.
