The Remoraid was happy her moves had worked. Another step closer to ending this battle. It was not that she wanted to win; she did not really care at all. She just wanted one of them to win and finish it. For that reason, she did not try to avoid the tackle this time. <Ouch,> she murmured quietly. She was fine, though she could feel the end coming very soon. That was good. She decided to go back to the Water Gun. Not very focused but still aiming for her, she sprayed water towards the Shinx. Nate wondered why the Remoraid had not tried to dodge but then decided it did not matter. He could see they were close to winning this. Perhaps one more great combination would do it. "Ok, Chelsea, let's try Leer and Tackle!"
The Shinx was pushed back a little by the Water Gun. She shook the water off her fur and glared at the fish. She would get her for that! She leered menacingly before, once again, preparing for a Tackle.

The Remoraid stared at the Shinx, flinching at the look she gave her. She told herself it would all be over soon. Just one more attack, she was pretty sure. In order to not give the total appearance that she was giving up, she leaned to the right to make it look like she was attempting to dodge. Of course, it did not work and she was struck by the cat-like Pokemon once more. No more thoughts came because she fainted. However, she did remember feeling relieved. Level: 12 Attacks: Water Gun, Lock-on, Psybeam Abilities: Hustle, Sniper, Moody Hit By: Leer, Tackle Used: Health: -- Congratulations! The Remoraid has fainted.
Chelsea has gained 2 levels. She now knows Spark. 
Nate earned 40 points for Team Sinnoh!

Chelsea got out of the water and shook her fur off one last time. She smirked when she saw her opponent had fainted. <Ha! I beat you, fishy!> She looked up at her trainer and smiled, hoping he was proud.
Echo floated nearby, observing the end of the battle with interest. He wondered when it would be his turn to battle.
"Great job, Chelsea!" Nate said happily. She would now know an electric attack, and they could finally face Jenna, the first battle leader. "Why don't you take a rest now?" After returning her, he took out an empty Pokeball and tossed it at the Remoraid. It would be useful to have a water type on the team. |

Nate rushed up to the lake and grabbed the Pokeball before it could float away. He wiped it off and then put it away. This trip had been a success. The Remoraid might take some work, but he was willing to take the time to raise her right. With thoughts off battles in his head, he turned and started the trip home. OOC: finished |
