Drakan leaned forward in enjoyment of the battle, as he had learned how to see through steam from earlier battles, and saw the Zorua, a pokemon he had failed to see before.

Susano'o ran his fingers through his hair keeping his smile up as his Wooper hid itself in the steam as the Pansear's true form was revealed, a Zorua. He should have suspected it, the only other pokemon capable of transforming was Ditto, Mew and Zorua's evolved form. Wooper hid amongst the smoke trying to keep hidden from the Zorua. His eyes widened as the pokemon flew by him its scratch just hitting his torso wounding him. Wooper tsked and leapt back as the steam began to cool down slowly vanishing as the battle field cleared up. Wooper spun around wagging his tail to lower the pokemon's defence, "Wooper ice beam!" Wooper nodded and opened his mouth firing off a beam of cyan light that shot through the air towards the Zorua. If he could limit the Zorua's movements by freezing it then the battle would be as good as his, but ice beam had a low freezing rate, still it was better then doing nothing and simply waiting around, besides Ice Beam, Dig and Scald were his strongest moves. Cole remained calm as he watched the battle progress. He did not fear losing, for losing provided him an opportunity to learn. Besides, his pride was not on the line because the Zorua was not really his own Pokemon. In a way, this was not a real battle. It was a test, and part of him wanted his opponent to win and pass. "You know what to do," he said to his Pokemon. One attack of his was best used if it came as a surprise. "Pursuit, go!"
Zorua laughed when he managed to scratch the Wooper. He skidded to a halt and turned to see what was coming next. He steam was dispersing, so he could now make out the form of the water type. When he saw the Ice Beam aimed at him, he tried to leap out of the way but was too late. He shook ice from his fur, glad he had not been frozen. Then he sat down and forced himself to cry. After sniffling, he stood back up to use Pursuit.

Wooper blinked as the Zorua began crying, what had he done wrong, he looked frantic before he was struck by the pursuit. The attack launched him through the air where he crashed into the ground and slid across it. He stood back up glaring forth as he spun around wagging his tail for tail whip. Susano'o smirked at his Wooper at least the water type was aware to use his tail whip, "Wooper, Ice Beam again!" he called. Wooper opened his mouth firing a cyan beam of light that froze the ground over as it flew towards the Zorua. Level: 7 Abilities:Damp, Water Absorb, Unaware Attack:Water Gun, Tail Whip, Mud Sport, Encore TM Moves:Ice Beam, Dig, Scald Hit By: Scald Used: Tail Whip, Ice Beam Health: Low Green/High Yellow |

Cole was enjoying the battle. The trainer appeared skilled, and the Wooper was quite energetic and capable. He wondered who would win. As long as the trainer proved strong until the end, it would not matter if he lost. "Zorua, dodge and use Scratch and Leer."
Zorua waited until he saw the Ice Beam coming at him. Then he quickly darted back and forth, missing the beam and the icy ground it had created. He did not stop until he reached the Wooper. When he got close, he extended his claws to Scratch him. Then he spun around and leered.

Cole was enjoying the battle. The trainer appeared skilled, and the Wooper was quite energetic and capable. He wondered who would win. As long as the trainer proved strong until the end, it would not matter if he lost. "Zorua, dodge and use Scratch and Leer." Zorua waited until he saw the Ice Beam coming at him. Then he quickly darted back and forth, missing the beam and the icy ground it had created. He did not stop until he reached the Wooper. When he got close, he extended his claws to Scratch him. Then he spun around and leered. Susano'o kept an eye on the battle as the Zorua darted out of the beams path before charging his Wooper swinging at him with his scratch. Wooper slid across the ice as the scratch connected with him before the Zorua leered. Susano'o held back a smirk now was the perfect time to use 'that' particular move, "Wooper, Encore and Water gun!" the Wooper nodded his head and turned around slapping his tail on the ice to match the sound of clapping towards the Zorua as if encouraging it to continue with an encore it would compel the Zorua to continue using only its leer for the next three turns in battle in order to give Wooper an edge. The water type slid around on the ice and opened his mouth firing a stream of water. Cole lifted his eyebrows at the command to use Encore. Perhaps it had not been a good idea to use Leer last. He would make a note of that for the future. "Not bad," he said. "Try to dodge, then use Leer again." he waited patiently to see what would happen.
Zorua stood confidently when her Scratch attack hit. His smirk faltered upon being affected by Encore. Oh well. The next attack he was able to use was going to be super effective. Unfortunately, he was too distracted to dodge the Water Gun. He shook off the water from his fur before using Leer again.

Wooper leapt up and down with joy a small smirk on his lips as the Zorua leered at him. Wooper merely wagged his tail to match the non damaging move before spinning around as Susano'o gave the command, "Wooper Water gun again!" he called. Wooper nodded as he began to skate across the frozen terrain smoothly sliding along the ice as he used the ice skating to boost his speed. He began to skate around the Zorua moving in a circle as he puffed his cheeks out before firing a stream of water from behind. The battle was turning out to be interesting indeed. The skating by the Wooper was both creative and effective. "Zorua, look out behind you!" Cole did not bother telling him to Leer. He had no choice.
Zorua tried to follow the Wooper by turning around when he did. Eventually, he got dizzy and had to stand still. He heard his trainer's warning, but there was nowhere to run. He was sent flying back a bit. After managing to stand up, he leered once again.

Wooper smirked as he skated along the ice rather pleased with himself at the damage he had caused to the Zorua The tiny water type slid along the ice back to his trainer doing a small ballerina like spin as he came to a stop at Susano'os feet. Susano'o ran his thumb across the bridge of his nose as the Zorua leered again, "Tail whip then Ice beam!" Wooper nodded and began sliding along the ice again towards the Zorua swinging around to wag his tail before sliding back around. The wooper then went low sliding his entire body across the ice in order to collect as much speed as possible as he whizzed forth opening his mouth to fire off a beam of cyan light at the Zorua. Level: 7 Abilities:Damp, Water Absorb, Unaware Attack:Water Gun, Tail Whip, Mud Sport, Encore TM Moves:Ice Beam, Dig, Scald Hit By: Leer Used: Encore (3/3 - Leer), Ice Beam Health: Yellow |

Zorua still could not us a damaging attack, so Cole knew it was vital that he dodge. The trainer's eyes scanned the field as he searched for a place without any ice covering the ground. "To you back right!" he shouted. He knew his Pokemon could take care of the rest.
Zorua crouched down and waited for a command. When it came he leapt backwards to the right, successfully dodging the Ice Beam. The closeness of the attack caused his fur to stand up from the cold. Not to be defeated, he used Leer again. He could not wait until he could use a real attack.

Susano'o kept on smiling even as the Zorua dodged as if nothing could phase him. He glanced towards his Wooper. The water type pokemon was doing pretty well and the pokemon appeared rather confident in itself. Susano'o tucked a strand of hair behind his ear already simulating the next lot of moves to use, he wouldn't give his opponent any leverage, "Wooper lets give them a round of applause then put them on ice!" called Susano'o. Wooper nodded his head as he began to strike the ice with his tail in a rhythmic clapping like noise as he performed his encore once more in order to continue forcing the Zorua to use its leer attack. He smirked at the zorua before opening his mouth and firing a cyan light towards the dark type in the hopes of freezing it. Susano'o merely smiled at Cole, encore would ensure any victory and as long as he kept the Zorua locked with its leer attack he would be able to win this, if he dropped his guard and forgot to use encore when the time was right and allowed the Zorua to attack with a damage based move the amount of damage taken would be easily enough to knock his Wooper out due to the amount of leers used. Cole had not expected them to use Encore again if this had been a normal battle, he would have been frustrated, but as it was, he calmly excepted what had happened. "Impressive," he said. Both trainer and Pokemon showed considerable skill. Yes, this guy would make a good recruit. "Dodge and use Leer." Now all that was left to do was to wait for the end.
Zorua did become frustrated by the second use of Encore. How was he supposed to win now? He would just have to keep dodging and hoping they would slip up. Unfortunately, the ground was becoming much too icy for him to move quickly. He darted to the right, but he ended up being hit by most of the Ice Beam. He glared at the Wooper and used Leer.

Susano'o smiled kindly at cole, "Why thank you" he replied before turning back to his Wooper as the water type wagged his tail at the Zorua matching the dark types defence lowering move with his own. Susano'o smirked at his Wooper, "Alright Wooper let's finish this. Ice beam once more!" he called. Wooper nodded as he began to skate along the terrain using his ice beam first to continue freezing the land as he turned it into an ice rink before changing the aim of his ice beam as he began to skate around the Zorua attempting to aim the ice beam at the Zorua's right side. Level: 7 Abilities:Damp, Water Absorb, Unaware Attack:Water Gun, Tail Whip, Mud Sport, Encore TM Moves:Ice Beam, Dig, Scald Hit By: Leer Used: Encore (2/3 - Leer), Ice Beam Health: Yellow |

Zorua started darting back and forth again. He ended up slipping on ice and falling flat on his face. The Ice Beam hit him directly, taking the last of this energy. He fainted while covered with ice.
"Zorua, return," Cole said as he took out a Pokeball. After putting it away, he liked at Susano'o calmly while he strode over to him. "That was an excellent battle. She showed exceptional strength and skill." He paused before continuing. "If you wish to enhance your strength, I have a proposition for you if you would like to hear it." He left it at that. He did not want to give out too much information until it was necessary. He did hope this guy would agree to hear him out, for he showed great potential.
