Jenna was impressed the student was still using his Shinx, even though she looked pretty worn out. Most students would switch out their Pokemon so that theirs would be fresh and ready to battle. "Dodge, June!" she said as the Shinx made for a Tackle. She smiled when her Paras quickly got out of the way. "Now, use Scratch!" After defeating Sting, Chelsea was now stronger, but it still should not take too long to wear her down.
June looked at the Shinx curiously. She was going to beat her? Ha! She smiled at her, amused by her confidence. <Are you so sure about that?> she asked as she dashed out of the way of her attack. <Let's see you try to avoid this!> she laughed as she ran forward to scratch her. Nate was disappointed that the Paras dodged, but he was not ready to give up just yet. He knew his tough little Shinx still had some fight left in her, and she would be mad if he pulled her out now. "You're doing great, Chelsea. Now let's try Spark!" He wondered how much damage this attack would do.
Chelsea skidded to a halt when her attack missed. She knew she was slowing down because she was tired. There was no way she was giving up now, though! She was in this to win it. She growled at the Paras when she hit her with a Scratch. <I wasn't ready.> She shook it off and prepared her electricity, sending it straight at her opponent.

The Shinx looked really tired now. It was just about time. "Try to dodge!" she said when the student called out his next attack. Her Paras could not escape the Spark. Even though electric attacks were weak against her, it did do some damage because of the Shinx's strength. "You're doing great, June. Use Leech Life!" This was a great move. She hoped the little Shinx could take it, given the amount of damage she had already taken.
June smirked at the Shinx. She tried to dodge the Spark, but it was just too hard. Electricity was fast! Shaking it off, she dashed forward and leapt at the Shinx. She needed to attach herself to her in order to absorb some of her energy. <Are you ready now?> she teased.

Chelsea was proud of her electricity. The more she practiced, the stronger it struck! She could not wait until she learned more electric moves. <Oh, I'm ready,> she said. She attempted to dart out of the way of the Paras, but she tripped, allowing the bug type to cling to her and drain her bug. <Hey? What's that?> She would not find out, for the last of her energy left her. She collapsed on the floor.
Nate had a sad smile on his face as he took out his Shinx's Pokeball. "Good try, Chelsea. You battled well." He was proud of the little electric type. They were going to do great things together in the future. After putting the Pokeball away, he looked at the Eevee on his shoulder. "You're up, Watcher. Start of with Swift!" He was excited to now battle with his number one partner.
Watcher was sad that his friend was out of the battle, but now it was his turn to fight. <You can count on me!> he said as he hoped to the floor. He looked across the field at the Paras in a determined manner. He got this. He would not let his trainer down! <Good luck, but I am going to win.> He turned and swished his bushy tail back and forth. Sharp, pointed stars emerged from his tail, aimed at the Paras.

Jenna smiled at her Paras. Now, he looked like he felt wonderful, thanks to his Leech Life. Now, the Shinx had fainted. Both Nate and she had one Pokemon down and two more to go. It was anyone's battle. She was excited to see Nate's next Pokemon. She had liked the Shinx, so she was sure she would like the next Pokemon too. Ah, it was his cute Eevee. Let's see what he's got. "Dodge it, June!" She watched as her Paras attempted to dodge all those stars. There were too many, so she was unable to escape all of them. "Let's go with Scratch!" she said once the Swift was finished.
June smiled when the Shinx fainted. She took in her next opponent. An Eevee. She smirked at his confidence. Oh, yeah? <We'll see about that,> she said in response. When the sharp stars came at her, she jumped and moved to the side a few times, dodging as many as she could. She got hit a few times, but she still felt fine when it was over. She ran forward to scratch the Eevee.

Nate was glad his friend was ready to go. He had learned a new attack recently, and they had been practicing it to perfect it. He could not wait to see how well it worked. It was mainly an offensive move, but he wanted to see if he could use it for defense as well. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to test it out. "Watcher, dodge using Quick Attack!" He waited in excitement to see what would unfold.
Watcher took the Paras' words as a challenge. He was going to fight his hardest to win for his trainer. They were a team! He was disappointed that the bug managed to dodge most of his awesome stars, but at least a few of them hit. He would do a better job next time. He was eager to use the attack he heard called out. He quickly moved forward, darting back and forth. He was able to successfully dodge the Scratch attack this way. Not losing speed, he aimed to knock right into the Paras.

The Eevee was moving too fast for Jenna to think to call out to her Paras to dodge. She was impressed by how her opponent had used that move as defensively as well as offensively. "Nice move," she commented with a smile. "We'll be looking out for that next time, though, won't we, June?" It was their turn now. "Use Stun Spore!" She personally loved Stun Spore because it had a high chance of paralyzing their opponent. While it did not paralyze them every turn, it still gave them an opportunity for a non-dodgeable attack every once in a while.
June blinked in surprise when the Eevee dodged her attack. That guy was fast! She looked around for him, but she was struck before she could spot him. Ouch... She shook herself as she stood up and looked around again. There he was. <Right, we'll watch out for that,> she agreed with her trainer. Using her claws, she scattered a cloud of paralyzing powder. She hoped it would work.

"Thanks," Nate said, glad that she was impressed. Despite her knowledge of it now, he hoped it would work again in the future. They had worked hard at perfecting it. For now, however, it was time to switch it up again. He made sure his Eevee could move before deciding on his next attack. "Watcher, use Baby-Doll Eyes and Swift!" This had been an effective combination in past battles, and he hoped it would work here.
Watcher was happy that he had successfully dodged using Quick Attack. That was pretty fun! <Good luck,> he said to the Paras and her trainer. He would make it hard for them to work against him. He loved being fast! he was unable to dodge the Stun Spore, however. He felt something weird happen to him, but he was still able to move. He sat down and made his eyes as big and cute as possible. Once he was satisfied, he turned and attempted Swift.

Jenna watched the Eevee and trainer carefully. It seemed like the Eevee had been affected by the Stun Spore, but it was not interfering with him attacking yet. They would have to wait until it did. Then, they would use it to their advantage. "Dodge it!" she said. With Baby-Doll Eyes, it was a bit harder for her Paras to dodge, but she was still able to get away from some. "Okay, June, now Scratch!" Hopefully, this time it would work. If not, she had another plan.
June smiled to herself when her Stun Spore seemed to be doing something to the Eevee. However, he could still move. That was a problem, but she had done her best with it. She would just have to wait and see what happened. For now, she had to avoid those stars! She felt a bit captivated by those adorable eyes, but her trainer's voice brought her out of her semi-trance. She jumped up and down and to the side, avoiding some of the stars, but she still got hit by it. When it was safe, she ran forward again, planning on scratching her opponent.

Although Watched could still move, Nate knew that the paralysis had slowed him down. He did nit know if he could still dodge using Quick attack, and he did not want to risk it. He decided to overcome this new obstacle by lowering the Paras' attack and defense stats at the same time. They would have to endure a hit, but it would be worth it if it worked. "Watcher, when she comes forward, use Tickle and then Swift!" Hopefully, there would be no time for the bug type to dodge this time.
Watcher smirked at the affect his cute eyes had on the Paras. He liked feeling adorable. He would not let anyone take advantage of that, though. Instead, he was always in control. he was glad at least some of his stars had missed. Next time, he would get a direct hit. He prepared for the oncoming Scratch, knowing exactly what to do. Soon after the Scratch hit, he turned and started to tickle the Paras with his tail. When he was finished, he opened his mouth to spray more stars at her.

Jenna listened to what Nate was saying to his Eevee carefully with a thoughtful expression. The Scratch had worked, but now Tickle was being used to harm June's attack and defense stats. However, now they were very close. "June, you can take it! Use Leech Life!" she said as the Eevee began to use Swift. Tickle will have reduced the power of Leech Life, but it was still better than nothing. It was the hardest move to get in because her Paras had to make even more direct contact than with a move like Scratch.
June planned to move back a bit after her attack, but her eyes widened when the Eevee advanced with his tail. <That..ha ha ha ah ha ha.....tickles!> she burst out laughing from the effect of his tail. What was he even doing? She was too busy laughing to do much to dodge the Swift, and her trainer did not tell her to do so anyways, so she was struck by its full force. After it was over, she was no longer laughing. She immediately attached herself to the fuzzy Pokemon and made to drain some of his energy.

At first, Nate was glad that his plan had worked. However, it soon became clear that Jenna was using it to her advantage. It seemed that there was no way for Watcher to dodge, so he would have to endure this troublesome attack. No matter. He would make the most of being close up as well. "Use Sand Attack and Tackle!" To his surprise, his Eevee did not respond. Then he knew what had happened: he was paralyzed. They were just going to have to endure a loss of a turn. He gritted his teeth as he waited to see what the battle leader would do next.
Watcher smirked when the Paras started to laugh. <Yes, that's the point.> The attack was quite fun for him, actually. He was proud that his Swift worked this time. He prepared to dodge the bug's next attack, but she latched onto him before he could move. His body felt really weird, like energy was being sucked out of him, and he was relieved when it was over. He prepared to use Sand Attack but, to his horror, he found he was frozen in place! What was he supposed to do now?

Jenna braced herself for another attack to come, knowing the short distance was trouble. She felt relieved when the Eevee appeared to be paralyzed for his turn. This was great. She knew Stun Spore would benefit them eventually! "June, let's go with Leech Life again!" It would keep them in close distance, but they could not count on an opportunity like this again. Bug Pokemon were amazing. They had moves that did not take effect right away or every time, but they were very powerful and helpful once they did.
June felt a little bit of extra energy entering her body. It felt good. She let go once she was finished. Hearing the word "sand," she instinctively closed her eyes. Nothing happened, though. Opening her eyes, she realized her opponent was frozen! Well, paralyzed. This was wonderful! She latched back onto him and used Leech Life when her trainer told her to.

Nate's eyebrows furrowed in frustration as he had to watch his Pokemon be completely defenseless. This was not good. At least Leech Life was not a mroe powerful attack. Assuming the Eevee could now move, he called out, "Use Swift and Sand Attack!" They could still take advantage of the short distance between the two Pokemon.
Watcher wished he could get away from the Paras, but there was nothing he could do. He winced internally as he became victim to that terrible attack again. Thankfully, once it was over, he found he could move again. He immediately turned and shot out his swift at the bug type. Then he moved forward a bit and pushed up sand and dirt to blind the Paras and make it eaier for him to dodge her next attack.

Jenna was not sure where this battle was going to go. The close distance was not that great in the long run. Both of them were getting in their attacks, which was good, but they were just wearing each other out without much of a strategy needed. They needed to mix things up, but how? She liked how Nate chose to use Sand Attack right after his damaging move; that would make it hard for her and June to get their next attack in. She wanted to use Poisonpowder, but the powder would not be able to penetrate too well with the sand in the way. She would just go with it. "Use Scratch with two claws and begin before you reach him!" There was still a chance she could hit him. They were still close.
June felt better after using Leech Life and taking away some of the Eevee's energy. It did not last long, though, because she was hit by even more stars. She thought it would be over after that, but then sand was blown in her face! She could not see too well, but she readily obeyed her trainer. She attacked the sand with Scratch as he moved to scratch Watcher. Her claws were able to scatter away the sand that was in the air, but she was unable to change the direction she was aiming for once she began.
