Jenna watched as the Confusion worked. Well, the Joltik did not appear confused, but the attack had still done some damage. That poison was still working quite well too. She grimaced as the Joltik screeched again. That Furry Cutter was getting stronger and stronger, despite it being a bug attack. She wondered... "Sparkles, use Confusion on the web! Then use Sleep Powder and fly upside down over it! Make sure not to get hit yourself!" She could tell her Butterfree was pretty tired, but they could not give up yet. They still had this one last idea.
Sparkles winced at the Screech. The Furry Cutter caused her even more pain than the last two. This battle was getting to be tiring. She was still going to fight for her trainer, though. After listening carefully to her instructions, she flew towards the web holding her in a small area and sent another force of Confusion at it. Once it hit, the web broke, freeing her. Now that she could fly anywhere, she cast out Sleep Powder and flew over it while upside down in order to get the Joltik covered in it.

Jenna's quick thinking surprised Gary. He was not sure if he would have been able to think of that himself. It seemed quite effective as well. He could see why she was a battle leader. Still, it was not going to be enough to win this battle. He became momentarily frustrated when is Joltik fell asleep. "Hang in there, June! Tell me when you can attack." Hopefully, it would not take down. Both Pokemon seemed to be down to the wire. One of them was about to go down.
June could feel that her attacks were working. Just a little bit more and then she could rest. She watched curiously as the Butterfree flew towards the web. What was she going to do with that? Oh, that was kind of cool. She hoped that would not cause her problems in the future. That Poison Powder, though, was definitely going to cause her problems. As soon as it hit her, she could feel herself drifting off into sleep.

This battle was going great, and they were both still on their first Pokemon! There would be too more fantastic match-ups after this. She could not wait to see how it ended. She felt even more excited when Sleep Powder hit and worked. Now, they got a turn free of being attacked, and they would be able to easily attack! "Sparkles, use Confusion! This time at the ceiling again!" she added the last with a chuckle. She was very pleased that strategy had worked out as well as it did. She frowned when her Butterfree did not attack. Then she understood. "I guess that plan backfired on me," she said with a laugh, shaking her head. Her eyes widened when she realized that Sparkles was not only not attacking, she was also falling! Last time, the Joltik had save them, but now she was fast asleep. She bit her lip, hoping they would be alright.
Sparkles could tell the Joltik had fallen asleep, and it made her happy. She turned right side up again and sailed through the air as she waited for another command. She liked the idea of using Confusion on the ceiling again. She was going to begin to aim her move when she realized she was paralyzed. Since she could not move her wings, she was falling fairly quickly to the ground along with June. Her wings were out, though, so she was not falling as fast as she would have otherwise. She braced herself for the crash, hoping it would not be too bad.

Gary was unsure what he was going to do now. June was still poisoned, and if the Butterfree got another Confusion in, this might be it. At least there opponent seemed to be at her limit as well. He still had two Pokemon left, so everything was going pretty good. His eyes widened in surprise when the Butterfree did not attack. She was paralyzed! At first, he was elated, but then he realzied that both of them were going to crash. "Come on, June, wake up." He let out a breath of relief when he saw her stir from her seat on the Butterfree. This was great timing. "Use Spider Web on the ground and then Leech Life!"
June woke up well rested. It took her a second to remember that she was in a battle and on a Butterfree. Than she realized that Butterfree was falling! She quickly aimed her spider web at the floor near the wall so that they would have a soft landing. Then she found a spot on the other bug type to drain her blood and restore some of the energy the poison kept taking away from her.

Jenna waited, wondering what was going to become of the two bug types. She was glad for Gary's quick thinking. The spiderweb made a nice cushion for them. June was now awake, though, which meant another attack on her paralyzed Butterfree. Even before Sparkles could flutter her wings, she fainted from the Leech Life. Jenna took out her Pokeball and returned her. "Thanks for an amazing air battle, Sparkles. You were wonderful," she said to her before storing her away. It did not take long for her to pull out another Pokeball and toss it onto the battlefield. "Let's battle, Cooper!" Her Venonat revealed himself. "Let's go with Tackle, buddy," she said. The Joltik looked pretty worn out, though she did have a chance to rest for a bit. She wondered if she would get to see how she took on her Venonat.
Cooper the Venonat appeared. Realizing he was battling, he took a battle stance, smiling on the inside. This was going to be fun! He enjoyed spending time with his trainer through battling. It was great bonding time! He noticed his opponent was a bug and electric type. She was tiny too! Wow! <I hope I don't squish you!> he said with a giddy laugh as he ran forward to tackle her.

Gary grinned when he saw that the plan had worked. The Butterfree had finally fainted. "You did it!" he said to his Joltik. "Great job, June." She looked pretty tried herself, and the poison would take her out soon. He tried to think about who he was going to use next after this. Pulling out his Pokedex, he saw the June had learned a new move. That would work nicely here. "Alright, use Electoweb!" Even if the Tackle proved too much for her, she should be able to get this attack in.
June let out a sigh of relief when she saw that the Butterfree had fainted. Finally, it was over. She fell to the ground when her opponent was returned to her Pokeball. That was interesting, suddenly, she was looking at a Venonat. She did not feel like battling much longer, but least this was another bug type. <Hello,> she said nervously. She did not want to be squished either! She quickly shot out a large web to slow down the Venonat while harming him with electricity. She was still hit by the Tackle, but it was not as bad as it could have been.

Jenna thought the electroweb was pretty neat. That was a new one. She really liked how the Pokemon was both a bug type and an electric type. The little bug did not look like she could take much more, especially with being poisoned. The end for her battle was near. "Cooper, shake it off and use Tackle again!" That would probably do it. She was interested in seeing who else Gary had in store for her. She was sure it would be exciting.
Cooper winced when electricity enveloped him. <Ah!> He kept running at June, though. Seeing she was still standing, he braced himself for his next command. Tackle again? Well, it was really the only option. He happily ran towards June again. They were closer now, so he was confident he would hit.

June was glad her attack had some damage. However, at this point, she was way too tired and too small to dodge the second Tackle. She braced herself to be hit. Luckily, it did not hurt that much, and it was soon over as she fainted.
Gary smiled slightly at his Joltik as he took out her Pokeball. "Great work, June. You were amazing. Now take a rest." He was impressed with the way she had progressed in her battling skills since he had known her. She used to not like battling at all. He was looking forward to seeing what she could do in the future. Right now, it was time for his second Pokemon. "Go, Scout!" He threw a Pokeball in the air, and his Farfetch'd appeared, flying in front of him. "Let's start off with Peck!" His flying attacks would be great against a bug type like Venonat.
Scout was ready for battle. He could see the little bug on the ground, and he knew he could beat him. He was going to show that pesk who was boss! He puffed out his chest before swooping down low ontot he battlefield. He cruised along the ground, aiming for the Venonat. When he got close, he could fly up and try to Peck him with his beak.

Jenna was impressed that the Joltik has survived this long. That had been a fun battle. She was interested to see who Gary would choose next. Ah, a flying type. That was a good choice. If only the Venonat was a Venomoth, then they could have a sky battle. "Ok, Cooper, dodge that and use Disable!" She knew that Farfetch'd knew many moves early on, so it was best to restrict them.
Cooper was glad he was able to face June. Now he was up against a Farfetch'd. He looked at Scout's wings in admiration. He wished he could fly like that! He really needed to evolve. He snapped back to reality just in time to hop away from the Farfetch's beak. Then he turned to face him again. His eye glowed blue and his opponent glowed blue. Then they both went back to normal.

Gary was impressed with the Venonat's speed. This was not going to be an easy win despite his advantage. He was not sure if Disable had worked or which attack was disabled, so he would just have to continue with his strategy as normal. "Use Sand Attack and Poison Jab!" He hoped this combination would prove quite useful.
Scout screeched in annoyance when the bug dodged his attack. He wanted to eat him right now! He blinked in confused when he glowed blue. What was that all about? Oh well. He dove down quick and swept up sand by flapping his wings. Then he attempted to get close to the Venonat and jab at him with a poison coated beak.

Jenna watched the battle from the side lines taking careful note of the trainer as she commanded his Farfetch'd Scout to utilise a sand attack and a poison jab. This made her raise an eyebrow, while Sand Attack was a smart move in order to weak her pokemon's chance of making a connecting blow, Poison jab was practically useless against a poison type, even if only part, like Venonat as they took very little damage and were immune to the effects of being poisoned, she hoped the boy Gary had someone else up his sleeve, "Cooper get that sand out of your eyes and follow up with a combination and Poison Powder and Tackle" commanded the bug battle leader. Cooper cried out stumbling back as the sand was tossed up into his eyes making him screech in pain. He was blinded by the attack and was suddenly struck being sent sliding back a few inches. He finally got the sand out of his eyes and blinked, the attack had barely hurt him. He smirked and began to shake releasing thousands of tiny poisonous spores into the air to rain down upon the battle field to poison the flying type. Once he released his spores he launched forth aiming to slam into the flying type with a tackle attack. Gary did not appear fazed when his own attack did not do much damage. If it worked, the Venonat would have let his guard down a little bit. At the very least, he had tested his defenses. Now it was time for the big moves. The Poison Powder attack was unfortunate, but there was nothing he could do about that. He would just have to end this round soon. "Alright, fly into the air and use Brave Bird!" It was a bit of a risky move, but he knew his Farfetch'd could handle it.
Scout narrowed his eyes when he felt the purple dust float onto his back. He could already feel his energy draining. If that bug thought that was all that was needed to take him down, than he had something else coming to him! He flew straight up into the air to get out of the reach of the Venonat's Tackle. Then he folded his wings and spiraled downward.

Coper danced back and forth as his poison powder had taken effect, he was very happy about that. He jumped for joy leaping up and about at his efforts only to release a loud squeal of pain as the flying pokemon launched towards him coming down in a spiral heading straight for him. He was struck hard by the superior technique being sent flying backwards and crashing into a wall of the battle arena. He fell to the ground in a slump before he slowly began to rise struggling to his feet, the attack had been incredibly strong stronger than anything he had been hit with so far. He felt his strength having been drained exponentially. Jenna watched the attack with an intrigue look, the attack had done significant damage to her Venonat, it was to be expected, Brave Bird was an incredibly strong move able to deal large amounts of damage at the risk of hurting the user from recoil damage " Venonat are you alright?" The bug pokemon responded by nodding his head, "Alright lets start with a tackle attack" commanded the bug battle leader. The bug poison pokemon nodded and burst forth into action launching across the terrain towards the flying type. He was determined to put up a fight, he wasn't going down easily, he would fight until he know longer could stand on his own two feet. Gary was pleased with the effects of his attack. Brace Bird had done damage to Scout as well, but he was at the point where he could handle it. Still, he was not about to use another another attack like that. He was going for something safer this time. "Alright, Leer and Aerial Ace!" This attack was sure to hit. He wondered how much more the Venonat could take.
Scout felt pain from the recoil damage take. He did not mind it too much, though. As long as his opponent had taken more damage, then he was just fine. This bug would be over with soon. Unfortunately, he was still too stunned from his attack to dodge the Tackle. That was the last time it would happen. he gave the Venonat a menacing Leer before flying up high and preparing for his Aerial Ace.

Cooper cried out in pain as the Aerial Ace landed a direct solid blow, coupled with the leer attack the bug type went sailing across the room where he crashed into the ground at his trainers feed. He struggled to rise before collapsing to the ground, his eyes swirling about as he fainted from the blow. Jenna smiled as she retrieved cooper's pokeball, " Good work cooper you deserve a good rest' she said as she returned Cooper to the confines of his pokeball. She then removed another from her belt and enlarged it , "Alright Timtom your my last hope go!" she tossed the pokeball up into the air where in a beam of light appeared one of her strongest pokemon, a Heracross, "Horn attack" commanded the bug leader. Timtom pounded his chest as he spread his wings giving a battle cry, " CROSS!" roared the bug fighting pokemon as he turned to face his opponent a Farfetch'd. His wings buzzed loudly as he surged forth as high speed his horn at the ready as he charged in with a horn attack.
