Hunter made a note to watch out for an oncoming electric attack. Since the Blitzle was using Charge, its electric attacks would become more powerful against his Psyduck, who was already weak against electric types as it was. "Hold still," he said calmly. "Dodge!" Many trainers had their Pokemon dodge right away when Quick Attack was used, but that did not work most of the time because the attacking Pokemon could still quickly redirect itself and strike. By waiting until the last moment to dodge, the chances of succeeding increases. However, it was pretty difficult to time it just right unless you really practiced it. He nodded when Horace successfully dodged the attack. "Now Tail Whip and Confusion!" There was a low chance of the move actually confusing his opponent, but it was always worth a shot, especially since it did damage as well.
Horace stayed calm and steady as the zebra Pokemon raced towards him at a frighting speed. He knew this move well; his trainer and he had practiced this scenario as well as experienced it multiple times in battles. At his trainer's word, he dodged to the left, just barely missing the attack. He turned and wagged his tail cutely once his opponent was watching him. Then, he sent him a weird telekinetic force.

Kiki had to admit, Hunter's timing was perfect. It was difficult to dodge a fast attack like Quick Attack, but he had managed it. She was not too disappointed that her attack had not hit. She knew more about her opponent now, and she would keep this information in mind for the future. "Crunch, use Tail Whip and Shock Wave!" It was a lot harder to dodge an electric attack, especially if she kept using it. Despite the fact that her Blitzle was beginning to wear down, she knew she still had her strongest Pokemon, so she remained calm.
Crunch ran as fast as he could toward the Psychduck. He was surprised when the water type disappeared at the last second. <Hey, where did you go?> He sound around just in time to see the Tail Whip. He found the attack kind of cute, actually. He was too distracted to noticed Confusion being used. His body felt off for a moment, but he was able to quickly shake it off. Then he turned and whipped his own tail around. Now it was time for his electricity! He zeroed in on the Psychduck before letting it loose.

Hunter watched his opponent carefully. She seemed to be pretty composed, despite him avoiding her difficult attack. That was good; new trainers needed to learn to expect the unexpected in a battle and know that things may not always go as they hope. What he demonstrated could very well be of good use to her as well. There was no chance to dodge the next move, so his Psyduck took in a lot of damage due to the Charge and Tail Whip in addition to him being weak against electric moves. Hunter was confident in his strength to endure it, though, so he was not worried. "Use Water Gun!" he said as soon as he could. Thinking quickly and moving quickly helped. While Horace was weak against electric attacks, the Blitzle was not weak against water attacks.
Horace felt good his move worked. However, he was quickly distracted by the Blitzle's tail. It was a pretty cool white fluff. He cringed as Shock Wave struck him. He knew electric attacks hurt a lot worse than others, but this one was especially painful. Once it was over, he shook it off the best he could. He was fine, so he shot out water from his mouth towards the electric-type.

Kiki was satisfied with the damage done by Shock. She knew better than to continue to use the same attack, though, so she decided to switch it up a bit. Crunch was struck by the Water Gun, but he was still hanging in there. They had to be at least half way there. "You can do it, Crunch. Try Quick Attack!" She hoped he could make it this time. If not, she was already thinking of her next move. She kept her eyes on Hunter to see if she could figure out what he was going to do. This battle was far from over.
Using his electricity made Crunch feel so good! He wanted to do it again, but he knew he had to wait for an order form his trainer. A second later, he was sprayed in the face with Water Gun. He opened his mouth to protest, but it was instantly filled with water. Once the attack ceased, he attempted to shake the water off. <That wasn't fun!> Ok, now it was time for that duck to get a taste of his speed. He zoomed forward, going back and forth to confuse the Psyduck and hopefully hit him.

Hunter needed to think quickly when Kiki called out Quick Attack again. He felt pretty confident he could guide his Psyduck to dodge it again. However, he wanted to be careful about overusing that skill. It was time to show the trainer a new strategy. "Horace, wait," he said. After a moment, when the Blitzle was closer, he said, "Confusion!" Ideally, the Confusion would hit just as the Quick Attack did. Both of them would feel the full force of the colliding of moves. It was risky, allowing Horace to willingly take on the move, but he thought it was effective.
Horace smiled inside when his Water Gun worked. He remained calm as the zebra Pokemon started to charge at him again. He trusted his trainer; he would make sure he used his moves in the best possible way. He stared steadily at Crunch as he approached him in a zig zag like pattern. Once his trainer's command reached his ears, he sent a telekinetic force his opponent's way. The instant after, he was flown back by the Blitzle striking him.

Kiki was surprised that Hunter did not ask his Psyduck to dodge, but now she saw what he was up to. Crunch was hit by the Confusion, and she could see that he was beginning to wear down. She did not know how much more he could take, so she decided to was time for one more electric attack. "Crunch, now use Shock Wave!" She was not sure if this would finish the Psyduck, but it should do some good damage.
Crunch was blown back by the Confusion attack. it made his head hurt, and he shook it to try to get rid of the feeling. It let out a breath of relief when the pain finally subsided. He trotted back a bit to getaway from the Psyduck. He was glad he was not asked to use a physical attack again. He gathered up his electrical energy and let it loose in an awesome Shock Wave attack. Playing with electricity was fun!

Hunter was satisfied with the result of his actions. The Blitzle could not take much more, but neither could his Psyduck. He saw the Shock Wave coming, but he knew he could not do anything about it. Fortunately, Horace was still standing. "Use Scratch!" he said. This was the last move. After this, Horace would be sure to faint if the Blitzle did not. Neither case mattered, however. His next and last Pokemon would prove to be a challenge.
Horace winced when he was struck by the Shock Wave. It hurt worse than before, and it took away a lot of his energy. When it was over, he found himself still standing. His short legs wobbled, but he willed them to be still after a moment. He could still battle. At his trainer's command, he moved toward his opponent as fast as his weakened state could carry him. His hand was poised, ready to swipe.

Kiki could tell this was coming down to the wire. She did not know if Crunch could withstand one more attack, and she did not particularly want to wind out. "Use Quick Attack!" Even if he could not dodge, he would hopefully get in some damage as well. Both Pokemon were sure to be out soon, and then they both had one left. She wondered what kind of Pokemon Hunter was saving for last. She was planning on using her best Pokemon and number one partner.
Crunch panted heavily as he waited for the Psyduck to do something. He really did not feel like running right now, which was unusual for him. However, he even more did not want to get struck by those claws. He used the last of his energy to dart forward Unfortunately, he was still hit by the Scratch attack, but he turned his body so that he would run into his opponent as well.

Hunter watched as the two Pokemon collided with their attacks, knowing there was nothing he could do to stop it. When they settled again, Horace gave out and fainted. Hunter returned him to his Pokeball and said to him, "Nice work. Thanks for battling." He put him away and reached for one of his two options for his last Pokemon. After thinking about it for only a moment, he pulled one out and tossed it into battle. "Let's go, Tadia!" His Lombre appeared and took a battle stance. "Use Fury Swipes!" He was pretty sure this would take out Kiki's Blitzle. Then they would both be on their last Pokemon; he was intrigued to see who she chose.
Tadia readied herself for battle. The Blitzle did not look like he was doing too well energy wise. She suspected that meant she would be facing a fresh opponent real soon. She was excited for that; it would challenge her and her trainer's teamwork. She ran forward, preparing her claws as she went, and struck out to swipe at him for two to five times.

If Crunch had enough energy left, he would have run around in happiness upon defeating another opponent. That was two now! He was really getting good at this battling ting. He was grateful to his trainer for all of his help. Unfortunately, his victory was short lived. He barely noticed the Lotad coming towards him, and he had no chance at dodging the attack. He fainted on the spot, finally defeated.
Kiki was not disappointed that her Pokemon had fainted. He had defeated two opponents for her, after all, and she still had one Pokemon left. "Great work, Crunch. You were amazing." He had come a long way since she had adopted him, and she was looking forward in seeing him growing even further. Right now, it was time to call out her partner. "Let's go, Alice!" The strong Bayleef appeared with a flash of light. "Alright, let's do this. Start off with Razor Leaf!" This was going to be a great round.
Alice had a determined look on her face as she looked out across the battlefield at the Lotad. She could totally take on a grass and water type. As long as she stayed cool and followed orders, she was going to win. She and Kiki had been working together for a long time now, and they were about to show this battle leader the strength of their relationship. She stayed where she was and whipped out some sharp leaves to strike at her opponent.

Hunter nodded in approval when the Blitzle fainted. He had not thought the zebra would be able to last much longer. He looked at the Bayleef with slight admiration. She seemed close with her trainer. He could tell they had been through a lot together, but that did not mean he was going to lose. "Tadia, use Fury Swipes to cut the leaves and keep on going!" Even if some of the leaves did hit, it was only a grass attack.
Tadia watches as the Blitzle fainted. Now onto a stronger opponent. The Bayleef did seem like a good match for her. Two grass Pokemon battling was going to be interesting. She swiped at the leaves while she ran forward, breaking most of them in half. As she neared the Bayleef, she aimed her claws at her side. This was going to hurt!

Kiki raised her eyebrows in surprise as the Lombre was able to deflect most of her attack with its sharp claws. In addition, it was hard for her Bayleef to dodge the attack. "You're doing all right!" she called out to her. This round was just getting started. "Time for Poison Powder!
This move would pay off if their opponent became poisoned.
Alice was dismayed that the Lombre chopped up most of her leaves. She was not giving up, though! The other Pokemon came at her too quickly for her to dodge. She felt claws swipe at her twice before she was able to move away. Then she sucked in a deep breath before letting out a purple powder that would hopefully poison the water and grass type.

(OOC: Apologies for the late post) Tadia sneezed as the poison powder came raining down around her. She attempted to swat the poison spores away but failed horribly at it. Her trainer Hunter watched the battle from the side lines, poisoning his pokemon clever move, "Tadia don't be discouraged, let's follow up with another Fury Swipes!' commanded the water battle leader getting a nod from the water grass type pokemon. The Lombre rushed forth moving swiftly towards Kiki's Alice intending to deliver a barrage of fury swipes aiming to strike the Bayleff anywhere from 2 to 5 times. Kiki was pleased to see that her plan was working. Now she had to stay strong and make it through the end of this battle. She was about to call out a command, but the Lombre was too quick for her. She decided to do something about that attack power first. "Ok, Alice, use Growl and Magical Leaf!" This attack should work well, for Magical Leaf could not miss.
Alice smirked at the Lombre's reaction. Yeah, Poison Powder must not be fun for him. She was glad it had its intended effect though. She made to dodge, but the Pokemon was suddenly upon her. He swiped at her three times before she was able to get away. She took a deep breath to calm herself before growling at him. Then she spun up a swirl of leaves that chased after her opponent.

Tadia gritted her teeth as the barrage of magical leaves crashed into her body sending her sliding backwards. She growled as she turned to look up at the opponent Bayleef. Hunter kept his cool and commanded again , "Tadia use Fury Swipes again" called the water leader getting a nod from the Lombre. Tadia rushed forth at high speed charging in towards the Bayleef at high speed lifting her hands where they glowed bright white as she moved in for her fury swipe attack.
