Faith decided it was time for her to train her Pokemon. She was unsure if she was going to end up challenging the battle leaders, but she still thought it was a good idea for her Pokemon to grow in level and skill. She had heard about the virtual training machines that could help her do just that. She entered the room and looked around. Everything was white expect for two helmets. "Ziggy, you're up first." She released the Kecleon, who turned to her with a blank stare. "Let's put these helmets on." They both put on their respective helmets and were transported to another room, where they awaited an opponent.

A Hawlucha appeared. It tilted its head to the side, looking at Ziggy in a curious manner.

Faith eyed the odd Pokemon that appeared. A fighting and flying type was an interesting combination. She was going to have to be careful. "Ok, Ziggy, let's start off with Ancient Power!" She liked the Kecleon because he already had many awesome attacks to choose from.
A determined look crossed Ziggy's face as his opponent appeared. He could take on this over-sized bird! He focused on creating power between his hands, and then he flung this power at the Hawlucha. He was off to a great start!

The Hawlucha was hit by the Ancient Power. It swayed on its feet and almost fell but didn't. It ran forward and aimed its hand at Ziggy, preparing for a Karate Chop.

"Look out!" Faith called. Unfortunately, it was too late. As long as the flying type was close, though, she would take advantage and use a physical attack. "Now use Lick!" Even if the attack did not paralyze their opponent, it would still do some damage. They could win this.
Ziggy watched as his attack inflicted damage on his opponent. Good. He did not like that funny fighting and flying type. What kind of combination was that, anyway? He tried to get out of the way of the oncoming attack, but he was hit. He felt himself weaken, but the loss was not that bad. While the Hawlucha was close, he stuck his tongue out to lick it.

The Hawlucha flinched at the Lick. It did not get paralysis, but damage was taken. It attempted to tackle the Kecleon.

The Pokemon was still able to move, but at least damage had been done. She thought quickly as she saw it coming towards them. "Dodge and use Scratch!" It was not his most powerful attack, but it would be effective. She could not wait until the Kecleon grew stronger and became a great threat!
Ziggy braced himself for the next attack. He was proud of his previous Lick attack. Though it did not work as intended, it was still helping to wear down the Hawlucha. Just as it came running towards him, he jumped off to the side so it missed him. At the same time, he extended a claw in order to Scratch the Pokemon while it ran by. This was brilliant! He hoped it would work.

The Hawlucha kept running when it did not hit the Kecleon, thinking that its opponent was farther away. Not that it could think; it was programmed to keep running until it made contact. It stopped once it was scratched and let out a cry. Turning around to face Ziggy, it began to sharpen its claws in order to increase its attack power and accuracy.

Faith watched the Hawlucha's actions closely. What exactly was it doing? It was not attacking, so that meant it was her turn to strike. "Now use Feint Attack!" This attack could not miss, and it did a good amount of damage. They would soon win this!
Ziggy smirked when he heard the Hawlucha make noise. <You can't take that?> he taunted. Of course, he knew this was not a real Pokemon. Still, it was fun to mock it. This was great practice for real life. Now the projection seemed to be sharpening its claws. He made a note to watch out for that in the future. Right now, he was worried about attacking. He casually strolled over to hsi opponent. Then he punched it in the face.

The Hawlucha tilted its head, confused, for it could not comprehend what the Kecleon was saying. It was pushed back by the punch. It moved toward Ziggy and aimed its arm at him for a Karate Chop.

The Hawlucha's previous attack made it hard for this one to miss. Luckily, it did not do quite as much damage as before because Ziggy was now a fighting type due to his special ability. Then she got an idea that would surely work. "Hang in there, Ziggy, and use Syncronoise!" Yes, this should work great.
Ziggy thought this Pokemon was really weird. It could not even come up with a good comeback! he tried to dodge the attack, but the big feathery thing was took quick for him. The Kecleon winced as he stood back up. <That's the way, you want it, huh?> He took a deep breath before beginning his next attack. He sent odd shock-waves coursing through the air all around him. There was no way to miss them.

The Hawlucha was unable to dodge Synchronoise, so it was struck by it with full force. Due to the fact that it was weak against psychic moves, it took on a ton of damage. Unable to attack, it collapsed and fainted. After a moment, a mechanical voice spoke within the blank space. "Congratulations, you have won. Take your helmets off if you are finished." Level: 7 Attacks: Detect, Tackle, Hone Claws, Karate Chop Abilities: Limber, Unburden, Mold breaker Hit By: Synchronoise Used: Health: --
Faith has won 40 points for Team Hoenn!
Ziggy has gained 2 levels.

Faith grinned when she saw the power of the attack. She knew that was an excellent strategy. "Great job, Ziggy! You can take a break now." The Kecleon smirked proudly as he walked over to his trainer so that she could take his helmet off. Once they were both back in the normal room, she returned him and then pulled out another Pokeball. "Here it goes." She pushed the button on the ball, and her Fennekin appeared before her. She decided it would be easier work with the timid Pokemon rather than the aggressive one. "Hi, Amber. We're going to do some training, ok? Just let me put this helmet on." Amber shook slightly, but she did stay still as Faith put the helmet on her. A second later, the were back in the white, training room, awaiting an opponent. After a moment, a Tirtouga appeared. It remained frozen in place, staring at nothing.

Faith smiled when she saw the Pokemon that appeared. She recognized it as an extinct Pokemon. It was really cute, and she wished she could catch it for real! She wondered if any had been resurrected and were roaming this area. She would have to check out the lake later. "You'll be alright, Amber," she said soothingly, noticing her Fennekin's nervousness. "Use Scratch!"
Amber's eyes widened when she saw the Turtouga. She did not like water types at all! She wanted to flee, but she saw no place to run. She realized her only chance of getting out of here was to battle that sea turtle. She took a deep breath before resolving herself to her fate. Then she ran forward, planning to strike with her claws at the last second.
