Kiki strode confidently to the Pewter City Gym. She was excited to be on this field trip to the Kanto region. She had never been here before, so she really wanted to check it out. She figured her first spot to check out would be the gym. She was not sure if she would go after gym badges once she graduated from the academy, so she thought this would be the perfect opportunity to find out what that life would be like. If she enjoyed it, perhaps she would consider it for the future. She knew this gym leader specialized in rock types. She had just the strategy to defeat him. Approaching the gym, she opened the door and stepped inside. "Hello?" she said as she looked around. "I'm here to challenge Brock, the gym leader." She hoped he was available and able to accept challenges.

Descending down form the platform above was a shadow that loomed over the arena. The figure landed at the other end of the arena kicking up a cloud of dust. As the dust began to settle it revealed the rock gym leader of Kanto Brock in all his glory. He was wearing dark khaki trousers, that were covered with dust with tears along the leggings, a grey shirt with a green sleeveless protective vest, on his head a mining helmet in his right hand a pick axe, "Welcome to the Pewter City Gym I am Brock! This will be a two on two battle!" shouted the gym leader as he stepped onto the field throwing his pick axe away and retrieving a single pokeball, " Let us rock and roll!" the moment he said that a pair of speakers appeared from the wall and heavy rock music began to play. He threw his pokeball up into the air, "Let's do this Geodude!"Level: 10 Attacks: Tackle, Defense Curl, Mud Sport, Rock Polish Abilities: Rock Head, Sturdy, Sand Veil Hit By: Used: Health: High Green Kiki Jones

Kiki looked over the gym leader as he appeared. Hmm... He seemed interesting. The loud music caught her off guard. Ok then. She guessed he liked rock in all of its many forms. She could already tell this battle was going to be a challenge. Yet, she was excited at the thought of a real gym battle. She was going to give it everything she had. "Ella, you're up!" She released her shiny Eevee with a flash of light. This was their chance to prove themselves. "Use Tackle!"
Ella stared at the Geodude at the other side of the field. He looked pretty tough. She was supposed to battle, though, so she would fight hard. She was glad her first order was relatively simple. She did not have too much battle experience, but she was eager to please her trainer. She raced forward, planning to jump up to reach the rock type when she was close enough. Brock pounded his fists together, "Alright now were getting started!" cried the rock gym leader as he turned the music up causing the entire battle arena to shake from how loud the music was, "Geodude ready yourself to roll!" commanded the leader as the opposing Eevee was commanded to use a tackle, foolish, a normal type move would do barely any damage against his rock type pokemon, "Geodude match her tackle with your own tackle go!" commanded the rock gym leader as his music blasted the arena from all sides. Geodude pounded his chest, "GEO!!! <ROCK!>" cried the Geodude as the rock music increased in sound showing that the rock type seemed to be a fan of the rock and roll music like his trainer. As the Eevee charged him the Geodude rushed forth rolling himself into a ball and rolling forth across the rocky terrain heading in the direction of the normal type pokemon in order to slam into the eevee with his own tackle. Kiki resisted the urge to cover her ears when the music became louder. How was she supposed to think with all of this noise? She tried to ignore it as she watched the two tackles collide. Alright, she needed to think of a different strategy. She had an idea for a combination of attacks that would work well close range. "Ella, use Sand Attack and Swift!" She hoped these would have their intended effects.
Ella did not stop her Tackle as she neared the Geodude. The two of them slammed into each other, causing the Eevee to fall onto her back. She quickly got to her feet so she could begin her next move. She swept up dirt and sand and hurled it at her opponent. Then she took a step back before shooting out sharp stars at the Geodude. Her body tensed; she was ready to dodge the next attack coming her way. Brock moved his head back and forth as he head banged to the blaring rock music hat was echoing through the battle arena of his gym, " Alright Geodude that's the way to rock and roll with it!" commented Brock the rock gym leader as he turned his focus back to the battle as the opposing Eevee was commanded to unleash a sand attack and a tackle attack, " Alright Geodude let's rock by close your eyes to lessen the effect of the sand attack then lets get heat things up with a tackle!" commanded Brock. The rock type pokemon Geodude roared with laughter as his body shook from the music. He was thoroughly enjoying the rock and roll music as it played. He pounded his chest with a roar as the Eevee launched sand up towards him. The Geodude shut his eyes and curled up into a ball as the and attack hit in order to lessen the damage to his accuracy from the incoming blow. He stayed curled up into a ball as the stars from the swift attack bounced off his hardened skin barely doing any damage to him at al. He then started to roll forth rolling across the terrain towards the Eevee to strike her with a tackle attack. Kiki could tell this was going to be a long, drawn out battle. Neither Pokemon seemed to know any moves other than ones that slowly picked away at each other. Maybe she could come up with a strategy to speed things up a little. "Ok, Ella, run forward and jump onto Geodude. Use him to get into the air to use Swift. Then land and use Baby-Doll Eyes." She got the idea from performing in contests. She hoped it did more than just look good.
Ella kept her eyes on the rock type. Why was nothing she did working. Oh well. If she was patient and could last longer than him, then she could win this. She took a deep breath to prepare for her next move. Then she ran forward as the Geodude came rolling towards her. She leapt into the air when he came close. She jumped off of him and did a flip in the air while shooting her Swift attack. She landed on her feet and turned around. She sat and made her eyes look big and cute. Brock cupped his chin gaining a series expression as he watched the battle, this would take some time. Having used an Eevee was a poor choice considering from what he was seeing. The normal type only knew a few damage attacks and those were of the normal type, move types were barely effective against his Geodude. As the battle played out he opted to give the girl some advice, "Little advice from me to you. Eevee is capable of learning the move Dig by TM same with Shadow Ball. Perhaps you should look into those after this battle to increase your pokemon's repertoire of skills" said Brock as his music died down a soft beat, "Geodude keep up your tackle"The Geodude folded his arms over as the Eevee stared at him with big cute eyes before unleashing her swift attack. He raised his arms in a defensive pose as the barrage of stars struck him but to his surprise they packed more strength than last time forcing him back, " GEO <WHAT!>" cried the rock type as the stars landed a critical blow. He shook it off and glared at the Eevee before rolling forth to use a tackle attack. Kiki was surprised that Brock offered her some advice. He had seemed too into the battle and the music to have noticed something like that. She was grateful for it, though. Perhaps he was a nice guy after all. "Thank you. I will look into that." She could see that gym battles were different than the contest battles she was used to. There was so much more to consider. "Ok, Ella, you use Tackle as well and then Tail Whip!" She was not sure if this would work, but it was worth a shot.
Ella smiled when she saw the effectiveness of her attack. It still was not much, but she could tell she as slowly wearing down the Geodude. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. She could do this. She raced forward towards Geodude, planning to collide with him like he had with her earlier in the battle. She jumped to strike him. On the way down, she did a flip while using Tail Whip, landing on the ground gracefully. His focus was sharp as he watched the opposing Eevee perform a tail whip then another tackle. He wouldn't worry about using Defense curl or Rock Polish his Geodude's defence was strong enough thanks to the type difference between the two, "Geodude corkscrew Tackle!" commanded Brock changing his battle tactics up. Geodude grunted as the tackle collided, the tail whip had done it's job to make the attack stronger via lowering his defence but he barely felt a thing. He turned his trainer as Brock commanded a Corkscrew tackle. The rock type nodded as he created a little distance between himself and the Eevee. He then rolled into a ball and began rolling forth. As he rolled he headed towards a rock that was sticking up out of the ground. He hit the rock at high speed and sailed towards the Eevee where he began to spin in a clockwise direction spiralling forth like a drill. It was simply a fancy tackle designed to catch his foes off guard. Kiki did not know what Brock was talking about. What kind of attack was that? Then she understood. She was too late to order a dodge, so she just waited. She was starting to wonder if choosing the Eevee had been the best idea. She had stronger Pokemon that could have easily defeated the Geodude, but she had not wanted the battle to be too easy. She hoped she would learn more this way. "Now use Growl and Swfit!"
Ella watched with wide eyes as her opponent attacked. What the heck was that? The Geodude sure knew the field well. She closed her eyes as he struck her. She dug her claws into the ground to keep from losing her balance. She growled as she focused on the rock type. Then she released her Swift attack, hoping to strike. Brock watched his foe, this was becoming a battle of sheer will between the two, both limited to normal type moves. His Geodude's attacks were capable of doing significant damage, while his foes attacks were limited but the Eevee was still holding out against his valued pokemon, "Geodude Dive Bomb!" gave the rock type gym leader giving out another odd command. Like the Corkscrew move it was just another tackle but slightly altered to throw off his opponent. Geodude roared as the stars bounced off his rock hard skin. He tucked himself into a ball and started to roll across the battle field. His hard body grind across the rocky terrain rumbling loudly as he charged towards an elevated rock like the one before. He hit the rock at full speed flying high up into the air rising up above his opponent where he began to spin in mid air dive bombing towards the Eevee. Kiki felt tense as she watched the battle. This was certainly interesting. Their creativity was limited as there were not many options. That did not seem to bother the gym leader, however. She had to do better. She went back to her tried and true combination. "Ella, another Tail Whip and Tackle combo!" How long could this go on?
Ella felt tired from the battle already. She needed more practice or to at least work out. She had never considered any of that very important. Now she could see where it would come in handy. Her eyes followed the Geodude as she tried to run away. Unfortunately, he struck her all the same. She moved back and shook her head. Then she raced forward, jumping and doing a Tail Whip flip at the last second. Brock smirked as his Geodude was struck by one last tackle, his rock type being thrown across the room, knocked unconscious. Brock pulled out the pokemons pokeball, "Good work Geo have a rest" he held out his arm returning the pokemon to the sphere. He put the ball away and pulled out a second, his last pokemon, "Time to bring this battle to a close. Let's rock on Onix!" he shouted as he threw the sphere up into the air, his rock music growing louder. In a beam of bright red light appeared a giant onix. The rock snake loomed over the opposing Eevee staring down at the tiny creature, <"This is my opponent?"> asked the Onix with a sneer as he looked at his trainer, before back at the Eevee, <"It's so tiny>" Level: 10 Attacks: Tackle, Defense Curl, Mud Sport, Rock Polish Abilities: Rock Head, Sturdy, Sand Veil Debuff: Atk-- | Def - Hit By: Tail Whip, Tackle Used: Health: ---- Level: 14 Attacks: Tackle, Harden, Mud Sport, Bind, Curse, Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Rage Abilities: Rock Head, Sturdy, Weak Armour Hit By: Used: Health: High Green Kiki Jones
