Faith was excited to be returning home. This was not her hometown, but she still held a deep appreciation for her home region. This was were contests had started, after all. She was just sad that she could not see her mom while on this trip. Oh well. Maybe next time. Right now, she was concentrating on exploring the forest near the town and looking for Pokemon. She would enjoy catching one or two Pokemon that she recognized. Hoenn Pokemon were the best, after all. She looked around curiously as she stuck to the path.

A Seedot walked along the branch of a tree. He was enjoying himself immensely. Unfortunately, he soon lost his balance and fell from the tree. He cried out as he landed on the ground. he shook himself off and stood up. He could see he was on a path in the forest, and he froze when he saw a human in front of him. Was she friendly? Faith jumped, startled, as something fell out of a tree. She gasped when she saw that it was a Pokemon. "Oh, are you ok?" She said. The poor guy seemed terrified. "You're a Seedot, right? Can I help you?" She knelt down and looked at him in concern. She hesitated before reaching out her hand to pat him on his head. She wished she could make him feel better. That was a bad fall!

The Seedot froze when the girl approached him. What was she going to do to him? He slowly grew relaxed as he saw that she was truly concerned about him. <Oh, I'm fine,> he said. He looked at her uncertainly. <What are you doing in the forest. There are big, scary Pokemon in here!> She seemed like a nice girl, and he did not want her to get hurt. He was good at running, but he did not know if she could defend herself. Gender: Male Level: 9

Faith could not understand the Pokemon's words. However, she could tell that he trusted her and was afraid at the same time. "You're still a little shaken up, aren't you. I bet it's scary out here." She paused. "Do you want to meet one of my Pokemon? Would that make you feel better?" She was not sure if it would help, but it was worth a shot.

The Seedot cocked his head as he listened to the girl. She had Pokemon? Oh, he hoped they were nice! Maybe it would help to meet one of them. He could always use more friends. He nodded his head. <Ok. I'll meet one of your Pokemon.> He wondered what kind of Pokemon she had. He had never met a Pokemon with a trainer. He had a lot of questions for him. Maybe that kind of living was even better than living in the scary forest! Gender: Male Level: 9

Faith watched the Seedot carefully. She smiled when he seemed to agree to her proposition. Okay. Now, who would she introduce to the little Pokemon? She thought for a minute. "Alright, this is Amber." She let out the Fennekin, hoping her gentle nature would put the Seedot at ease.
Amber blinked as the Seedot came into focus. Who was this guy? He seemed fearful. Not dangerous. She gave him a small smile and took a tentative step forward. <Hello.>

The Seedot flinched when the Fennekin appeared. Was she going to do something to him? No, she seemed rather timid and quiet as well. He forced himself to smile. <H-hello.> He took a minute to look her over until he was convinced there was no danger. <What is it like living with a trainer? Are you getting stronger?> He wondered if it would be safer than living in the forest. Gender: Male Level: 9

Amber had to think for a minute how to answer the Seedot's questions. At first, she had been terrified of her trainer, but hse had gradually learned that she meant her no harm. They were even starting to become friends. <It's not bad,> she said. <I have more security than I did in the forest, and I have friends I know won't be taken away from me.> Yes, having a trainer wasn't bad at all.
Faith smiled as she watched the Pokemon interact. She hoped the Seedot felt better now. He was quite cute!

The Seedot listened to the Fennekin, his head titled in curiosity. <Really?> That did not sound too bad at all. He looked at the trainer and deicded he could trust her. But would she want a Pokemon like him? He decided to ask the fire type. <What if - what if I joined you guys?> He wanted to be protected and also to become stronger! Was this the way? Faith paid close attention to the wild Pokemon. From his actions and expressions, she could kind of guess what he was saying. Did he want to join their team? There was only one way to find out. "Would you like to come with us?" she said gently. She took out an empty Pokeball and set it down next to the Seedot.
<You can if you want to,> Amber said. <It's a pretty nice life.> If the Seedot was scared of the forest, it might work out well for him.

The Seedot considered the proposition for a minute. Finally, he decided that the best thing would be to go with them. He hoped he would not live to regret this. <Ok. I'll do it.> He touched the Pokeball with his foot and was sucked inside. You caught a Seedot! Faith walked over to the Pokeball and picked it up. She smiled at it before stashing it in her bag. "It looks like we have a new friend," she said to her Fennekin. Amber smiled and swished her tail. The girl was glad they were getting along so well. She decided to let her stay out for a little bit longer. She then turned and started back the way she had come.

An Absol roamed through the trees. He lived a solitary life, but it was not by choice. He wished to live among humans. However, most of them thought he brought bad omens. Most ran in fear. When he noticed a girl walking along the path, he walked onto it and stood in her way. He gave her a challenging look. Would she flee? Gender: Male Level: 8

Faith was startled when the Absol suddenly appeared. She recognized the Pokemon from stories her mother had told her. Most people thought they brought bad luck, but her mom had taught her to give each Pokemon a chance. She smiled at him. "Hello there. Do you want to battle?" That was what it looked like to her. She glanced at her Fennekin. "Are you up for it?"
Amber looked the Absol up and down. She sensed that he was not very threatening. Maybe he just wanted a practice battle. She nodded at her trainer and took a stance opposite of the dark Pokemon. <We don't have to if you don't want to.> She waited to see what he would do.
