Roark knew he had to find a way to quickly defeat the grass type. Those vines would not be able to hold his Onix for long, but he still had to be careful. "Onix, use Rock Tomb!" That should do the trick.
Onix struggled as the Skiddo wrapped his vines around him. He did not like to be confined like this! He wanted to use his strength to break free, but he decided to listen to his trainer instead. He grew calm and then dropped rocks from the sky to surround his opponent. "Hang in there, Prancer!" Sawyer called. She knew he could do it. They could win this together. She held her breath as she watched him endure the rock attack. "Now Razor Leaf!" They were getting closer to victory every minute.
Prance felt resistance, but he continued to hold onto the Onix tightly. He flinched as rocks fell on him. Luckily, he was able to retain control of the situation. With determination showing on his face, he whipped out his sharp leaves to take down his large opponent. Roark was impressed by the ingenuity of both trainer and Pokemon. Perhaps it was time to rethink his own strategy. He had to do something quickly so this battle would not remain too lopsided. "Onix, use Screech followed by Bind!"
Onix roared as the leaves scraped his body. Now he really want to put that grass type in his place! He screeched in anger. Hopefully this plan would work. Glaring at the Skiddo, he reached his tail out to grab him and hold on tightly. Sawyer grit her teeth. It was going to be tough to get out of this one. Then again, the situation did come with an advantage. "Prancer, see if you can use Razor Leaf!" She started to think about who she would use for her second Pokemon.
Prancer cried out as the Onix wrapped his tail around him. He struggled but could not break free. He was tired, so he decided to just give in. He moved his body slightly so he could attempt to shoot out more leaves. Roark knew it was only a matter of time before he won this round. "Onix, don't let him get to you. Keep using Bind." He patiently waited for the inevitable to happen. Of course, his rock type was being worn down in the process.
Onix shifted his body so that most of the leaves missed him. He then relaxed his grip on the Skiddo before squeezing hard again. This little guy was tougher than he looked! Prancer finally gave up struggling. With a defeated sigh, he let his body go limp. Then he lost consciousness.
Sawyer took out his Pokeball and returned him. "You were great, Prancer. Let' Isis take it from here." She chose another Pokeball and released her Ekans. "Isis, use Poison Sting!" Her Skiddo had gotten her far. Now it was time to finish this.
The Ekans hissed as she looked at the larger rock snake. He appeared strong, but she was not going to be intimidated. She moved closer and then released her poisonous darts. Roark nodded in satisfaction. He was glad he did not have to deal with the Skiddo any longer. He wondered how the challenger would fare now that she had lost her grass type. Unfortunately, the poisoning of his own Pokemon pushed the battle in her favor. "Keep it up, Onix! Use Rock Throw!"
Onix roared in triumph. The Skiddo was vanquished! He was so certain he could beat any Pokemon that he missed the Poison Sting that struck him. He slowly felt poison affect his body. Ignoring this, he threw large rocks at the smaller snake. Level: 13 Attacks: Rock Throw, Screech, Stealth Rock, Rage, Rock Tomb, Curse, Bind, Harden Abilities: Rock Head, Sturdy, Weak Armor Hit By: Poison Sting Used: Rock Throw Health: Red, poisoned! Sawyer smirked at the Onix's reaction to her little snake. She could tell he was tired form his previous battle and would not last much longer. Maybe he needed to be hit by one good move. "Bite!"
Isis hissed at the Onix. <I will take you down.> She was unable to avoid the flying rocks, but being hit only made her angry. She had always been a tough one, and there was no way she was backing down now Once she had a clear line of sight, she jumped at her opponent with her jaws wide. Onix roared as he fell to the ground, defeated.
Roark was surprised that his Onix was defeated so quickly. "Congratulations," he said, smiling at the challenger. "Take a rest now, Onix." He paused as he chose his last Pokeball. "This one is the real challenge. Cranidos, let's start off with Headbutt!"
Cranidos appeared with an exploding of light. He snarled as he took in the Ekans. Then he ran straight at her with his hard head lowered towards the ground. Level: 13 Attacks: Rock Throw, Screech, Stealth Rock, Rage, Rock Tomb, Curse, Bind, Harden Abilities: Rock Head, Sturdy, Weak Armor Hit By: Bite Used: Health: ---  Level: 14 Attacks: Headbutt, Pursuit, Leer, Focus Energy Abilities: Mold Breaker, Sheer Force Hit By: Used: Headbutt Health: High Green Ekans has gained three levels! She now knows Screech. |

Sawyer kept her excitement hidden when the Onix fainted. There was still one more Pokemon to go, and this one looked pretty tough. She decided to go the safe route for now. "Isis, start off with Poison Sting!"
Isis hissed in satisfaction. Excellent. That battle had gone quicker than expected, not that she was too surprised. She bristled as she faced her new opponent. <You're going down too, ugly.> She darted to the side but was struck anyway. Snarling, she turned on the Cranidos and shot out poisonous darts. Roark wondered how long the Ekans would last against his stronger Pokemon. Thankfully, his rock type did not appear poisoned. "Now Pursuit!"
Cranidos shielded his face with his tiny arms. The poisonous barbs grazed his skin, but thankfully they did not affect him internally. His hands fell to his side, and he glared at his opponent. He took a deep breath and then used Pursuit. Level: 14 Attacks: Headbutt, Pursuit, Leer, Focus Energy Abilities: Mold Breaker, Sheer Force Hit By: Poison Sting Used: Pursuit Health: Green |

Sawyer felt good about the battle so far. Her snake was tough and could take anything their opponent could dish out. "Now Wrap!" She hoped her plan would work.
Isis hissed at the rock type Pokemon. She did not see the attack in time to dodge it, which annoyed her. She happily complied with what was asked of her next. She slithered over to her opponent and then whipped out her tail, hoping to trap him in her grasp. Roark patiently waited for the Ekans' attack to finish. Now he knew he could increase his power. "If that's how you want it... Focus Energy followed by Headbutt!"
Cranidos snarled at the snake as she wrapped her body around him. <Get off!> As much as he struggled, he could not break free. The move ended after four squeezes. He took a deep breath to gather his energy. Then he ran at his opponent with his hard head lowered. Sawyer clenched her teeth as she watched her Pokemon withstand the attack. Their opponent was quite tough! She knew her Ekans would fight hard until the end. "Glare and Bite!"

Roark knew he had almost won this round. As long as the paralysis did not affect his Pokemon just yet, then he could end it this turn. "Pursuit!"
Cranidos narrowed his eyes when the Ekans glared at him. How dare she! Thankfully, he could still move his body, though he was unable to dodge her Bite attack. He stayed close to her and moved forward for a Pursuit attack.
