Miss Riverton jogged into her classroom with Sport. She slowed down once she reached her desk and took a swig of her water. Nothing beat a pre-class workout! Now she was energized enough to teach the higher level class. While the Tyrogue took a seat on the desk, the teacher pulled out her enrollment sheet and looked over the names: Nate Kerston , Kiki Jones , Gary Oak , and Sawyer Fylan . She could not wait to begin!

Gary as glad that his favorite class was up first. This was his fourth level of Battling Techniques, and he was ready for it to begin. His lower level Cyndaquil, Stephan, clung to his shoulder. He hoped this was a good chance to teach the young Pokemon some battling techniques. This class was as much for the Pokemon as it was for the trainers, right? He entered the classroom and nodded at the teacher. Then he found a spot up front. Stephan hopped onto the desk and looked around curiously.

Sawyer strode down the hallway, headed to class. Her Tepig, Milton, struggled to keep up with her on his stubby legs. He was coming along because he needed to train. The girl knew this class would be good for the both of them. This class was why she had come to the academy, after all. She found the door and pushed it open. Her eyes swept across the classroom before she found a seat in the right side of the room. She could hardly wait to begin!

Estel trotted beside Nate as they headed to class. It was always fun to attend Battling Techniques. They got some hands on experience that would help them in the real world. Nate wanted to be a Pokemon breeder, but it was still important to know how to battle well. The boy entered the classroom and nodded at the teacher. He was pleased to see he recognized his classmates. Still, he chose a seat in the middle away from them. He needed his space.

Spud the Bulbasaur looked around the school with great interest. Kiki smiled at him from his side. "You're going to have fun today," she said. It was her first time with the Pokemon, and she wanted him to have a great time. She entered the classroom and looked around for a seat. She smiled at her friend, Nate, and sat down beside him. "Hi." Spud stared at the Chikorita curiously.

Miss Riverton was relieved to see that everyone had shown up today. She supposed it was because this was an upper level class. These students must be taking the course because they enjoyed it, and who would miss the first lesson of an enjoyable class? "Welcome, everyone," she said warmly. "We all know each other by now, but why don't you introduce your Pokemon and name one thing you like about your home region?" She hoped the exercise would set everyone at ease.

Kiki decided to answer the teacher's questions first. "This is Spud the Bulbasaur." Spud looked around with a shy smile on his face. She pat his bulb and then continued speaking. "My home region is Hoenn, and that's where I learned to make Pokeblock." She loved making Pokeblock for her Pokemon, and they loved what she made for them!

Nate smiled at Kiki. "Hi." He listened to her introduction and then decided he might as well go next. "My Chikorita's name is Estel. I like that Sinnoh is an island." It was a really unique place to live. He hoped he would have a chance to visit home soon.

Gary thought for a minute about what he likes about Kanto. Eventually, he decided to go with the obvious. "This is Stephan." He smiled and rubbed the Cndaquil's head. "I love the fact that Kanto has the best research center in the world." He puffed up his chest in pride. He was not just biased either. His grandfather was truly a genius.

Sawyer listened to everyone's responses with interest. She found the different regions fascinating. She really wanted to explore each one once she graduated. It would be quite an adventure! "This is Milton," she said once she realized it was her turn. "Some of the cities in Unova are interesting." She had been to several as a kid, and there was always tons of stuff to do.

Miss Riverton smiled and nodded at the answers she was given. "Great! Well, let's begin the class. As always, I will first evaluate your battle skills. Please find a partner and have a small practice battle." She was glad this room was basically indestructible. She could just imagine the costs to repair the destruction battled could create!

Nate looked around the room. Who should he choose as his partner? He decided to choose the first person he laid eyes on. He stood up and walked over to Sawyer, Estel by his side. "Hi! Do you want to battle?" He knew his grass type would be at a disadvantage against her fire type, but he was up to the challenge.

Sawyer looked up at Nate and gave him a small smile. "Sure." She stood up and pushed her desk aside to make room for the battle. Milton stood in front of her and took a battle stance. "You can go first." He was the challenger, after all. Level: 8 Attacks: Tackle, Tail Whip, Ember Abilities: Blaze, Thick Fat Hit By: Used: Health: High Green

Paul walked down the hallway, his new class schedule in hand. He had registered a little late, so that meant he was going to be late to his first class: Battling Techniques. It would be fine; he was good at slipping in without causing a ruckus. His Patrat, Rose, hurried alongside him as he made his way to the classroom. He still needed to train her a lot more before she would be strong enough to evolve. He was beginning to become impatient, but he needed to continue on. Duke would not allow him to continue in joining the organization if he did not successfully complete this mission. He figured bringing the Patrat to Battling Techniques would aid him in training her. Once he arrived at the classroom, he silently walked in and headed towards the back. It appeared the other students had already begun battling. He glanced around to see if there was anyone without a partner.
