Faith bit her lip as the battle waged on. She really could use some advice but feared asking for it. "Pound again!"
Angel spun around as the Teddiursa attacked. He took her by surprise, and she cowered in fear. It took all of her courage to move forward to go back on the offensive. Miss Riveron was impressed with how her opponent kept on fighting. Perhaps she had underestimated them. "Teddy, Scratch!"

Faith could feel her progress already. This battle was slow and steady, but she felt like she had a real chance of winning. "Use Pound as well and follow it up with Charm!"

Miss Riveron looked at the Pokemon and wondered why her Teddiursa appeared so tired. Could the Cleffa really be doing that much damage? She better step it up. "Try another Lick!"
The Teddiursa spun in a circle after the strike. He kept his balance at glared at his opponent. Why did she have to look so cute? He ran in her direction and then struck out his tongue to lick her. Faith held her breath as the Teddiursa attacked. She let it out once she realized she had gotten lucky again. "Good job. Now another Pound!
Angel cringed while she was licked once again. This was just gross! She glared at the Teddiursa, not understanding him at all. She took out her frustration in her next Pound attacl. Miss Riverton was disappointed that the Lick had failed again. "You're pretty good. Now, Teddy, Scratch!" This battle would come to a close soon.

"Charm and Pound once more!" Faith called. She could not believe she had a chance to beat a teacher. This was a great class!
Hope smiled sweetly at the Tesdiursa. She did not care what he thought of her. She just wanted to win this battle! After attempting to charm him, she bounded forward to use Pound. Miss Riverton knew that Teddy was on his last leg. She had to make this final move count. "Covet!" she cried. It was a long shot, but it could work.
The Teddiursa was panting heavily now. There was no way he could dodge that Pound. <Stop being so cute,> he muttered as he slowly got back up after being knocked down. He was the only one who could be cute! He mustered up his energy to use Covet. Faith felt her heartbeat quicken from the heat of battle. She could suddenly see the ending of this battle, and she knew how to complete her goal. "Angel, dodge that by spinning around and then use Pound!"
Angel took quick, short breaths to keep herself going. She moved forward while spinning on her toes. In this way, she was able to move out of the way of the Teddiursa. Teddy widened his eyes in surprise when he hit nothing. The Happiny was on him, and there was nothing he could do. He fainted from the blow.
Miss Riverton looked on in surprise. "Wow, that was a great battle, Faith! It seems you've learned something from me already." She winked. "You can rest for now." Level: 1 Attacks: Covet, Scratch, Leer, Lick, Fake Tears Abilities: Pickup, Quick Feet Hit By: Pound Used: Health: --- Happiny gained three levels.

Faith felt elated after the win. "You were awesome, Angel!" She picked up the little pink Pokemon and hugged her. Then she smiled at Miss Riverton. "Thanks!" She returned to her seat to await further instruction. |
