Sawyer was pleased that the Skiddo seemed to understand what was going on. This would be Tammy's first battle, and she was excited to see what both Pokemon could do. "Thanks," she said with a slight smile. "Ok, Tammy, let's start off with Scratch." She waited patiently for the battle to begin.
Tammy looked back at her trainer when she spoke. Battle? She was not so sure about that. She wanted to try battling, but she was not too good at it. She did not want to disappoint anyone. It looked like the Skiddo agreed to battle, though, and she did not want to let him down either. It looked like Skiddo just wanted to have fun, so she might as well try also. She nodded once. <Ok.> Mustering up her courage, she ran towards the grass type, raising her claw to Scratch him.

The Skiddo kept smiling at the Stunky. Her name was Tammy? he thought when her trainer said the name when addressing her. That was a nice name. Scratch? Wow, those claws did look sharp! He didn't want to get in the way of them, so he skopped to the side, easily missing the Scratch attempt. Skopping, like running, was fun! He hoped battling included a lot of that. <Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!> he cried as he ran back towards Tammy. He hoped he would not hurt her. He loved to tackle his friends, and they were always fine when he did it. Sawyer could see that the Skiddo's speed was going to be a problem. he had managed to dodge an attack while his own made direct contact. She had an idea to try to slow him down or to at least weaken him. "It's alright, girl. Use Poison Gas!" The attack did no damage, but it did have a high chance of poisoning the target, which was exactly what they needed right now.
Tammy frowned slightly when her attack had not hit. Oh dear. She hoped her trainer was not disappointed in her. She turned just in time to see the Skiddo running at her. He rammed into her side, sending her sprawling across the dirt. She felt nauseous as she stood up. She knew she could not give up, though. She was grateful for the easy attack she was told to do next. She turned, extended her tail, and sent poisonous gas flying in the face of the Skiddo.

Oh ya he was awesome. Skiddo was delighted when his attack landed, but at the same time worried. <I am sorry, I didn't hurt you did I.I..MY EYES!> He said in a worry tone, before yelling in pain as he was strayed right in the face. <You miss Tammy are one stinky lady.> He told her while frowning and coughing. He felt sick, not just a little sick either, very sick.
Shaking his head, the Skiddo used growth to help boost his attack up, while shaking out his whole body. That had not been very fun, but he would get over it. After a few moments he would then processed to charge at the red colored Skunk again. Skopping all the way, it was a funny thing to do, but hey he enjoyed Skopping, even when attempting to tackle people.

Sawyer winced slightly at the Skiddo's dramatic reaction, but she knew it had to be done. "Sorry," she said lightly. It seemed that he had been poisoned, which was good for them. Maybe they could get a damaging attack in now. "Alright, Tammy, dodge and use Tackle!" She watched in interest to see what would unfold.
Tammy started when the Skiddo cried out. <I-I'm sorry,> she said. She had not meant to seriously hurt her. She looked back at her trainer, but she only gave her an encouraging nod. It looked like she was just going to have to carry on. She bushed slightly at the mention of her smell. <Yeah, I know.> Thankfully, it never stopped her from gaining friends. With her stench, others had to like her for who she was. She took a deep breath before running out of the way of the other Pokemon. She turned and came back, prepared to use Scratch.

Skiddo brought his skopping to an end as the Stunky dodged his attack. He turned on his heels as the smelly pokemon by the name of Tammy attacked with a scratch. The blow connected sending him sliding backwards across the grass. He dug his hooves on digging up small trenches as he came to a stop. He winced as he felt the poison coursing through his veins drain him of his health. He needed to finish this quickly. He concentrated and from his grassy mane around his neck two long green vines shot forth. The vines moved through the air before they started to spin around each other in order to maximum the damage on the point of impact. So far, so good. The battle appeared evenly matched. Sawyer was going to have to rely on strategy in order to win this. It was time to try something different. It was too bad the Skunky did not know many attacks. "Focus Energy and Scratch!" Focus Energy help her make a critical blow.
Tammy was struck by the Vine Whip attack. She had not seen that coming. She winced as she struggled to stand up. She could feel exhaustion threatening to take over her, but she knew she could not give into it now. She took a deep breath and used Focus Energy. Then she ran forward to use Scratch.

Skiddo came to a stop as the Stunky used her scratch attack on him once more. He shook his head regaining his balance as he nearly tumbled over. His legs buckled as he turned to face the opposing pokemon once more, the poison slowly taking effect once more. He released a battle cry and began to Skop once more towards the Stunky picking up speed as he aimed to slam into her with his tackle attack. Sawyer felt energized by the battle. This truly was living! She was excited to win and capture the Skiddo, who would surely make a good companion. She knew not to get too far ahead of herself, though. She had to finish this. "Scratch, once more!"
Tammy felt worn out. Normally, she would have called it quits at this point, but she knew her trainer was counting on her. She could not let her down! After taking a hit,s he was determined to fight back. She used all the energy she could to try another Scratch.

Skiddo came to a stumbling halt as the Stunky struck him with her scratch. The grass type bleeped loudly as he was tossed back through the air and bounced off the ground. He landed kicking up dust as his eyes swirled about having been knocked out by that final blow and the poison taking one last effect through his body bringing his health to zero. Level: 7 Attacks: Tackle, Growth, Vine Whip Abilities: Sap Sipper, Grass Pelt Hit By: Scratch Used: Health: --- Congratulations you defeated Skiddo! Capture or move on?
Stunky gained 3 Levels!
Stunky has learned Screech!

Tammy had not been expecting the Skiddo to faint. She blinked her eyes when she realized she had won Wow, maybe she could do something useful! She wanted to run around and celebrate, but she was much too tired. Before she could stop herself, she collapsed on the ground.
"Great work, Tammy," Sawyer said, nodding her ahead in approval. That had been a good battle. Both Pokemon had fought well. She was surprised when her Stunky fell but figured she just needed a rest. She took out her Pokeball and returned her. Then she found an empty Pokeball and tossed it at the Skiddo. "You're going to be a fun one to have around." |

The pokeball struck the Skiddo before opening up and hitting the grass type in a beam of red light. The Skiddo was sucked into the pokeball as the ball landed on the ground and began to rock back and forth the light glowing before it came to a stop. A ding echoed through the air signalling the capture of the skiddo. Congratulations you caught a Skiddo!

Sawyer walked over to the Pokeball and picked it up. She was sure the rest of her team would have fun with this little guy. He might need some direction and guidance, but everyone needed to take a break once and a while. After putting this Pokeball away, she took out another one and released the Pokemon inside. An Ekans appeared before her. "You're the last one, Isis," said the trainer. "Let's get some training in." The Ekans slithered by her side as she resumed her walk along the path. She had enough Pokemon for now. Unless she encountered one she could not pass up, the next and last battle would be strictly for training. |

Running was fun. Super fun. Well, at least for this Doduo. He could run up to 60 miles per hour, and that was exactly what he was doing throughout the forest. He preferred to run and live in wide, open spaces, but he had run to the forest in order to hide from that tornado that had occurred. Now, he couldn't seem to find his way out. It sure was a big forest. He thought that maybe running through it would help. Not knowing how to get out bothered him a bit, but he was not that worried. He would eventually find his way. Until then he could have fun running as he searched. <Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!> he cried as he unexpectedly stumbled upon a trainer and Ekans. He tried to skid to a halt, but he did not stop soon enough. He collided with them, tripping and falling to the ground. <Ow...> both of his heads mumbled.
