”Abou, about what?” Dawn managed, chest heaving up and down.
Taking a step forward, Jack's eyes remained glued to hers, while the scowl remained on his face as well as his narrowed brows. His arms remained folded across his chest as he usually did.
”Ho, how’re you holdin’ up?” Dawn asked as she pointed to his hurt leg, which seemed to be starting to bleed.
"Tch.." Jack noised, Ignoring her words, he then stepped up to her, he was now inches away as he looked down at the clearly frightened and weakened female.
"How much did you see?" Jack asked seriously. His Poocheyna growling behind her as if it could sense its masters mood, and trying to match it.
"I'm serious Dawn, this is important! I'm not joking around... How.much? Don't tell me nothing, because you obviously saw something you didn't like which caused you to run." Jack said louder as his piercing blue eyes looked into her frightened eyes.
His Poocheyna then barked as it held its ground in front of the bridge...

Almost taking a step back, Dawn reconsidered it. While allowing Jack to approach her probably wasn’t a safe choice, it was the safest option she had at the moment. She could move around, but she imagined that in virtually all scenarios she’d trigger some sort of reaction. Nothing she could afford at this moment.
Dawn almost took a step forward when the poochyena began growling more intensely. Whatever the boy could do, the primitive part of Dawn said it wasn’t as bad as facing those teeth.
She flinched at the intensity of his voice, shoulder shrugging up. Rain water dripped off her nose was she looked down at his shoes. She felt like a stupid trapped rattata between a hound and a hunter. Fantastic. ”Don’t you think I realize the gravity?” she growled back, nerves making her more than a little defensive. ”I heard everything, I guess! Team Rocket, records, Gee Oh Ay, all of that.” She looked off to the side, still unwilling to meet his eyes. Earlier, she’d thought they were simply harsher than normal.
Now, with context added… she simply couldn’t meet is gaze. Did this make her a bit of a hypocrite? Maybe.
The final bark did her in. She stomped in place like an overwhelmed child, who’d seen entirely too much and was having trouble processing everything. ”Call him off, call him off, call him off!” The hand that wasn’t holding the shopping bag clenched her other arm, a sort of half hug in a vain attempt to calm herself down.
To think she’d come out today to try and dig herself out of the holes she merely imagined. Now, she was in an actual pit.

”Call him off, call him off, call him off!” Dawn yelled as the Poochyena was becoming more overwhelming.
"Why would I do a silly thing like that if you understand the gravity of it all? Its in my best interest to keep him out." Jack replied as he continued to look down at the girl with his arms folded across his chest.
A moment of silence filled the air as he then sighed, lowering his eyes towards the ground as he then closed them.
"Tch... I can't believe I'm about to do this." Jack said in a soft tone. "I never had to do this before."
Looking back up at Dawn, he then shook his head as he chuckled a bit.
"Dawn... you saw something you should not have ever seen. You heard things you should have never heard. Words that had a powerful and negative outcome for you if you if you heard them." Jack said as he walked around her in a circle looking her up and down.
"You heard my boss, I have to terminate the compromise. In this case, that means you. Dawn." Jack continued as he then stopped in front of her.
Jack then unfolded his arms across his chest as he held his serious look towards Dawn. It was a deafening silence as Jack paused, who knows what he was was capable of, or what he had in mind to terminate her...
"Dawn..." Jack started to say as he continued to glare at her. "... I'm not gonna do that." He said as his glare and serious tone then went away on his face. Turning, he then walked away from her as he started to walk towards his Poocheyna who was still sitting in front of the old bridge.
Kneeling down, he then started to pet its head as its tail wagged happily. "Good job boy." Jack said to his Poocheyna as he continued to pet its head. "C'mon boy." Jack said as he then motioned with his head for his Pokemon to follow him. As Jack and his Pokemon walked towards Dawn, he then pulled out his cell phone as he dialed a few numbers...
Jack then put the phone up to his ear as he stood a few feet from Dawn. "..Hey its me. Yeah... Doing good, hey listen I got a code 13 here.... Yes, thats correct.... No, that wont be necessary, I can handle it... sure, yeah sounds good...... It went well, I got some new information for us to use against Team Rocket..... I JUST meet with him and will be sending the full report to headquarters later tonight.... Sounds good.... What?... No, I'm sure.... *Jack then looked at Dawn*... I trust her.... it wont come to that.... Because I know... *Jack then turned around and covered his mouth with his other hand across the speaker of the phone*... I'll protect her... I promise, I understand.... Bye."
Jack then turned pressed a button his cellphone, ending the call. Turning around he then looked at Dawn, and then looked around at the surrounding area. Putting his phone away in his pocket, he then began to walk up to her again as his Poochyena followed next to him wagging its tail....

What the heck did that chuckle even mean?! Was it good, bad, just a part of the process? What?! All the same, she stayed still as he circled her like a hawk. She thought back to when she figured him Little Red Riding Hood. Nope, nope, totally got those roles reversed. Nope! An involuntary nervous smile crossed her lips at the mention of termination. She was mentally screaming, but her body had completely given up. Smiles were appeals to mercy, they forged friendships, and her body was completely on autopilot. Just a dream, just a dream, just a dream.
So, it was only to be expected when mercy was given that she almost passed out. She gasped, her whole body releasing the tension it had previously been feeling. She moved her bag to a wrist and clasped her hands together, watching Jack’s movements. What was that old saying about he who is forgiven much loves much? She was about to sing her praises when she noticed the cell phone again. Figuring she probably shouldn’t push her luck when he was talking to his superiors, she kept her mouth shut.
Spotting her beanie, she focused on picking it and trying to clean herself up a little while “Wolf” spoke. Between the distance, her newfound desire to avoid eavesdropping if she could help it, and being focused on trying to brush off what wasn’t a slowly setting stain, the girl pretty much missed the entire conversation.
Her attention returned when the duo walked up to her. Despite the rain and the fever, she was pretty cheerful. Assumed near death experiences tended to do that to a girl. She kept the beanie to her face to stem the bleeding, though she did throw the poochyena a grateful look. Him obeying his trainer scared her half to death, but him obeying his master also kept him from chewing on her ankle from her point of view. To think for a moment she’d actually thought he was a little monster.
”You never did say how your leg was,” she mumbled past the beanie. She still had some bits of fabric from her accessory kit plus some clothing tap. It wasn’t much but unless Jack had a first aid kit, it would do to keep his wound out of the elements until they got somewhere.
Grinding the toe of one boot into the ground, she looked upwards. ”So… uh, now what?” Was she gonna be pledged to secrecy? She could handle that. Crap, he’d said something about trackers, hadn’t he? What if--what if??
She froze for half a second before stopping a sneeze, a small squeak instead of a real sneeze coming in its place. ”Excuse me,” she chirped. Thank you, Victini~!

”You never did say how your leg was,” Dawn mumbled past the beanie, that was pressed against her lips. Walking up to her, he stopped as he looked into her eyes. "It's fine, I'll survive." Jack said as he didn't bother to look down at it to check. Reaching his hand up, he then placed his hand on hers, making her slowly remove the beanie from her bloody lip. "Let me see." He said, still hold a serious look. Looking at the bite marks on her lip, he then ran his thumb across it gently, clearing some of the blood off there. "Hmm.. Not as bad as it looks. I got something in mind that will help for now till we get to a Fist Aid Kit." Jack said to her. Turning his head, he looked over his shoulder at his Poocheyna who was sitting right next to him wagging his tail quickly. "Alright boy, I need you to search out some nearby Poffin berries." As he commanded, the Poocheyna barked twice before it zoomed off into the woods as his nose lead the way. Looking back at Dawn, he saw her dig her foot into the ground. "So… uh, now what?” She asked looking upwards at him. Not much time later, Jack saw her face start to clench as she then sneezed letting out more like a squeak. "Excuse me!" She chirped. "You're cute Dawn... However, you can start by forgetting EVERYTHING you think you know about whats going on right now." Jack said. "You think I work for Team Rocket, I don't. I work for a different organization. A better, nicer, Government Organization that people do not know much about if at all. I am whats called a "Pokemon G-Man".. I'm a special Agent. My mission is to act as a mole inside the New Team Rocket, doing whatever the tell me to do, while gathering information to use against them until ultimately shutting them down... again. Now as you heard, I need to get into a secret group called the G.O.A. A group I know nothing about, not to mention I gotta plant trackers on certain students on top of that..." Jack said with his serious toned face. "The way I see it you Dawn, have a few options... All of which I don't want you to get involved with, but I'm afraid that's inevitable now that you know who I really am. Like it or not... you are in danger now. But I told my government superior that I got it under control. I WILL protect you Dawn, no matter what, inside and out, from here on out. But you CANNOT, say ANYTHING, to ANYONE. If my cover is blown again, or on a mass scale, there is no telling what New Team Rocket will do to you or me." Jack urged as the seriousness in his voice could be heard clearly. A sudden bark was heard as Poocheyna was running up to their location with some berries, holding them in house mouth by their stems. Bending down, Jack took the berries from it's mouth as he then petted its head. "Good boy." Jack said to his Pokemon. In his hand, he held the berries as he eyed them all carefully. After a few seconds he started to throw some behind him that he did not need, or not what he was looking for. After several seconds he then stood up as he faced Dawn. "Alright, in my hand are Poffin berries, they are normally used to heal Pokemon or used as treats in contests. Since we are human, they are not edible to us, but what I need them for is their healing property and not so much their taste. Since you are a female, I figure you'd like the taste of something sweet. Which is why I threw the spicy, bitter and sour ones away... Looks like I got a Pecha Berry, and a Mago Berry." Jack said as he then clenched his fist, crushing them into juices. Using his free hand, he then used his finger to smear to two berries together combining them both into one pink color juice. Dabbing his index in the berry juice, he then lifted it up towards her face. "Let me see your lip. This should act like an instant healing agent, and not get you sick since you are not eating it, and its only going on your lips." Jack said as he waited for her to move her beanie out of the way... * OOC: This should help clear any confusion with Jack as a character... G-Men

Oh, mister tough guy, huh? … alright, she probably had about zero right to say that right now, but she was sure as all get out gonna think it. Her mind was her own. In fact, she was half tempted to be stubborn and not remove her beanie. There was being helpful and then there was invading her person her personal space.
Somehow, she felt that all of this had suddenly become very listen-to-what I say. ... wait, it’s been like that since the get go, hasn’t it? The moment he stopped inspecting her, she took a step back. Yeah, good looking spy or not, nobody got in Dawn’s personal space and stayed there without her permission. She didn’t make a fuss when this rule was violated as somehow or another it always got violated, though.
She blinked when he mentioned the G-Men. The realization of what that was hit her like a ton of bricks. ”W-wait, really? Oh, thank Arceus.” Good, good; she’d probably only been in danger when the bird-guy had been around, then. Suddenly, she was very glad she hadn’t provoked him earlier. What she knew about the G-Men was almost exclusively public heresay on the level of common speculation on Area 51 activities, but, hey, dealing with a government affiliated agent who happened to get the dumb luck of having the world’s nosiest girl trail him versus dealing with a semi-rogue terrorist was a no brainer.
She nodded. The whole no spieling thing was going to be hard, given her gossipy nature, but… she’d find other fodder to occupy her conversations. ”So, basically, business as usual?” she questioned, making sure that she was more or less supposed to brush this under the rug unless Jack requested something of her, probably for her own safety.
A part of her was a bit annoyed that, once again, someone seemed to think she needed to be coddled and protected. The fact that she was actually pretty weak kept her from running her mouth about it, though. Maybe one day, when she was plenty strong enough to stand her own ground, she’d complain and moan. As it was now, she’d just indulge in a fantasy most girls probably only dreamed about: cute secret agent shenanigans. Well, the shenanigans part almost exclusively her wishful thinking, but, hey, after what had gone on in just the last hour alone, Dawn probably deserved to indulge her imagination’s good side a bit.
A grin graced her lips as the poochyena returned to the scene. The weathered seemed to be letting up a bit again, too. Maybe it was a rolling storm? Weather aside, Dawn cocked her head as she watched Jack sort through the berries. With an eye for detail, she slowly picked up the pattern. What sort of coordinator wannabe didn’t know at least a little about berries? Regardless, she didn’t feel the need to tell him she already knew a bit about them.
... how strong is this dude anyway?! She knew pecha berries were very soft, but most mago berries were hard! She knit her brows, looking between Jack’s now berry painted palm and his face. That was like crushing an apple or something! And, he, just--!
”Thanks, I’ve got it, though,” she quickly retorted, aiming to swipe her own index finger into the boy’s palm and smear the berry juice across her own bottom lip. And, in case he got offended that she simply wasn’t letting him touch her (that was actually the entire reason in and of itself), she offered a not-lie excuse. ”Wouldn’t want ya’ to get sick~”
Once again, she’d press to see if she could finally leave. ”So… is that all?” Not that this wasn’t all pleasant (nah, that was a lie straight from the Reverse World. This had all been sort of surreal), but she was eager to get back to her dorm, take a hot shower, knock out on meds, and probably sleep until something else happened.
Because, at this rate, something else was bound to happen. Ayame better not be in the dorm when I get back, Dawn mentally hissed. The two girls were simply too much alike. They would probably never get along.

”Thanks, I’ve got it, though,” she quickly retorted, aiming to swipe her own index finger into the boy’s palm and smear the berry juice across her own bottom lip.”Wouldn’t want ya’ to get sick~” Dawn said as she applied the Berry juice to her lip.
Not effected by her words or showing any reaction, Jack kept his hand out as he let her use as much as she needed until it satisfied her.
"So… is that all?” Dawn asked in an eager manner.
"Sure." Jack replied. Looking down at his berry juiced hand, he then made a fist. "... Dawn, one last thing." Jack insisted.
Lowering his fist to his side he then look at her with those piercing blue iris's that held such seriousness to them.
"Dawn, can I trust you?" Jack asked in an almost polite tone, as his Poochyena then sat next to his leg. "You have some options I didn't tell you about, but none of them include what you call 'Business as usual.'"
Stepping forward he then kept his distance from her, as it seemed that's what she wanted, he too had an extremely good eye for detail in many areas, as it was proven when they first meet. With him detecting her oncoming cold, her straining her arm to keep him dry, not to mention knowing it might have been Dawn hiding when he told the unknown man it was probably just a wild Pokemon nearby that startled the Pidgeot and his Poochyena.
"The way I see it, you got two options. You can go back to your day to day life at school, however I'll have to put a tracker on you and you would just act like you have no idea who I am, and honestly never ever talk to me again to keep you and I safe, along with lowering any suspicion, since the guy I meet with just now was asking if "a girl" followed me. Not to mention the part where you got to keep this all a secret the rest of your life, no matter what.. or... you can help me." Jack stated.
"If you decide to help me Dawn, that would include you helping me plant trackers on certain students.. without them knowing, as well as helping me get into that G.O.A. organization. Its dangerous, but based on what I've seen from you, you are pretty brave. You followed me into a dark dense forest while you were sick, and you managed to stay well hidden long enough to listen in on some... information you shouldn't have. Personally, I don't think you are the weak, need protection girl you think you might be. Keep in mind Dawn, when I said I'd protect you, I was serious, because now you know something you shouldn't, and knowing what you know can harm us both. Otherwise Id figure you can stand up for yourself, based on your actions today." Jack said as he then looked off towards the other side of the river then back at her.
"Well... whats it gonna be so we can get outta here?" Jack asked as he then raised a Pokeball at his Poochyena, making a blue laser shoot out of it, hitting his Poochyena. A cloud of black mist suddenly formed where it was sitting. With a small recoil, the Pokeball rocked back in his hand as his Poochyena returned to its Pokeball...

He was pretty stoic, wasn’t he? She wondered if that was just his natural personality or some of the training. As a civilian, Dawn automatically pictures over the top, highly unrealistic methods of preparation for fieldwork. On that train of thought, she realized, Hey, he’s not much older than me. She wondered what kind of childhood he’d had, how long he’d being doing this, what it had been like from his perspective.
But those were all entirely too personal of questions, things she would hate to have asked of her by a pretty-much stranger. So, she left it well enough alone.
When he asked if she could trust him, she frowned. Not out of being insulted, but just because, she really had to wonder. Could he? It was always looking out for number one with her, except when her easily guilted conscious forced her to do right. She was loyal enough, but bossy. She wondered if that made her a good person because she was forced to be or a bad person by reflex. Shopping back on wrist and beanie in hand, she crossed her own arms, looking away to think.
Quite frankly, she was okay with him putting a tracker on her. If that was the exchange that had to be made after all that he had just done for her, then that was a steal of a deal. However, keeping her distance from such an interesting person, especially when she honestly felt some sort of budding loyalty to him, would be the part that proved difficult.
Finally looking back up, she’d wait until they locked eyes. Staring up, she spoke. ”I’m going to be trustworthy for you.” And, considering that this girl gossiped, trashed other people’s things, had backbitten, and lied daily, that was a huge, huge commitment for her. Reshiram, help me to maintain the balance between truth and lies… Arceus knew she’d need the help. ”I really don’t think I’d be able to keep my big mouth completely shut or even ignore you after this, so I’m going to have to default to helping you.” She smiled. This was all so surreal, still. Yeah, pledge to help out a guy you met less than an hour ago do some double spy work on a terrorist organization you thought was dead and buried while said terrorist organization is stalking a (smaller?, she wondered) suspicious club. No biggie. Easily processed. ”I’ll do whatever you need me to--planting trackers and finding secret clubs included!”
Agreement made, she’d try to move up to his side and gesture towards the bridge. She supposed he was as ready to get out of the on-again-off again rain as she was.

Hearing her choose to help him, Jack nodded as he kept his typical serious expression pronounced on his face. This would be dangerous for the two of them, he just hoped she knew the importance of that and keeping it all a secret. After all, there is no telling what would happen to either of them if New Team Rocket found out.
As she walked up next to him, he then started to make his way towards the bridge to get out of this forest. Walking together, Jack reached into his pocket and pulled out a thin and small square shaped steal case. He then opened it up as it held several rows of small circular shaped objects. The objects were as thin as a dime and no bigger than the top of an eraser.
"These are the trackers. As you can see they are very small and thin, weightless even. These trackers have a signal that can be detected from other regions, and pin point your exact location." Jack stated as he then started to pull some free from its foam holder.
After pulling a handful free, he then gave them to Dawn to use. "There you go. I need you to plant these trackers on certain students at the Academy. I'll PM you an encrypted password protected list later. For now, focus on your room mates." Jack suggested as they then came to the bridge.
"They all have a very sticky bottom on them, so all you need to do is peel off the thin layering and its ready to stick. The key to this Dawn is to plant them on something the individual will carry around with them DAILY, but make sure its hidden. For example, the inside of a Pokedex would work perfectly if you have the tools to unscrew the back of it. But, beings that you are a female, I'm sure you can think of some creative ideas." Jack said as he then eyed the bridge, and where the plank was at where his leg fell through earlier.
Looking down at his leg he noticed it was actually in pretty bad shape. It was bleeding and beginning to throb.
"Once you planted a tracker, let me know who it is, and I will activate it and test its connection. While you are doing this, see what you can find out about that G.O.A. group, and relay me any information pertaining to them in anyway. Names, dates, locations, birthrates, their Pokemon... their Pokemon's favorite Poffin, anything at all." Jack stated still keeping it serious.
Placing one hand on each side of the rope on the bridge, he then shook it to test its durability. Afterwards, he then stood next to Dawn and looked at her.
"From now on you are on a need to know basis, that's just in case you get captured and they try torturing you for information... So with that being said, all you need to know is that my name is Jack Nova." Jack stated, even though it was not his real name.
Stepping to the side, he then motioned with his hand for her to take the lead across the bridge.
"Ladies first... oh and by the way. You can keep the jacket." Jack said.

Guy pockets always amazed Dawn. They could keep basically anything and everything in there. She was lucky if she could keep a few bills and her cell phone in her own pants pockets. So, when Jack pulled out the case, her small jealousy simmered a bit. It didn’t bother her much, though; after all, men’s pants didn’t come in cute little patterns like women’s pants did.
Realizing that her first lesson as what she had dubbed “assistant spy” was beginning, she focused intently. Tracker, tiny and light. Strong signal. She held her hands out, carefully receiving them. Loosening the jacket a bit, she turned away from Jack a bit so that she could put them away in the safest spot she knew. Unlike him, her pockets were unreliable as they were prone to letting things fall out due to shallowness, and if Ayame was in the room when she got back, Dawn didn’t want the other blue haired girl going through her bag and finding the trackers. Decent again, she closed the jacket up again and continued her unbroken silence. She made a decent student.
Ayame doesn’t seem like she would get caught up in anything like this, and I’d fight tooth and nail to keep December from anything like this… Yes. Because December was totally in need of protection from Dawn of all people.
As for the daily use, that would be easy enough. The soles of shoes were typically pretty easily removed, so all she really had to do was find a way to get ahold of a target’s most commonly worn pair. She wondered how a pokeball would work with one inside. Oh, and what about key rings and other things? Some key chains were bulky and complex… There were so many possibilities! Her mind raced. Well, Jack wasn’t wrong; the little fashionista was definitely creative.
She nodded. If there was one thing Dawn was good at, it was being nosy. Now she even had a goal, rather than just randomly fishing for information! She paused behind Jack, wondering what exactly he was doing on the bridge, shaking it like that.
”W-Wait, to--actually, just. Okay.” The whole concept of being tortured frightened her quite intensely, but she just made a promise to herself that she would do such a good job of this that there would be absolutely no way that could even happen. The best defense was a good offense, anyway. It was only after humming in acknowledgement of his invitation to go first and chirping, ”Hehe, thanks~” that she realized he had finally given her what she could only logically assume was his real name.
Already on the bridge which didn’t protest too much under her meager weight, Dawn looked over her shoulder at Jack. Her face was a bit shocked. After trying so hard to get his name, he’d finally given it to her! She chuckled and grinned so wide that her eyes squinted shut. ”I’m glad to properly meet you!” With that, she continued on.
She hoped he knew the next time he saw his, or rather, her “new” jacket, it’d probably smell like spring flowers.

"I’m glad to properly meet you!” Dawn said to Jack as she peered over her shoulder while crossing the bridge.
As Jack heard her words, his head instantly popped up. Her words then raced through his mind over and over, as if its was on repeat. He quickly smiled as he then noticed what he was doing. Changing his expression back to serious, he then looked away. When was the last time he "actually" meet someone, and not meeting someone while being fake? To be honest, Jack could not come up with the answer. Was Dawn is first actual friend in life?...Hell, when was the last time he actually smiled at someone?
"Yeah, its quite a way to meet..." Jack replied as he watched the girl cross the bridge safely.
Grabbing the sides of the old bridge, Jack watched as the ropes keeping it up started to make a tightening sound while he put his weight on it. "Here goes something." Jack thought to himself as he began to cross the bridge. Eying the broken plank in the wooden walkway, the bridge swayed left and right a bit as he walked.
After a minute or so of carefully walking over the bridge, he made it to the edge. The raging water beneath him raged on as he watched the white caps make their thunderous noise, crashing against the rocks below. It would be difficult to get out of if either of them fell in.
Looking ahead, they did not have much further to go. In fact, just after this upcoming dense woods would be the street they meet on. From there, they could get dry and warm at some building and pry say their goodbyes.
"Well, at least she is powering through this given her sick condition...Not bad Dawn." Jack thought to himself as he looked at her.

It was probably for the best that Dawn had turned around in order to focus on crossing the last part of the bridge. If she had seen Jack smile, she absolutely wouldn’t have let it go. “You smiled!” she probably would have teased. “That looks much better!” she probably would have half-joked, all the while testing his patience with a newfound sense of playfulness manifested through pokes and prods. So, yes, it was for the best that Dawn hadn’t seen Jack smile.
She did, however, catch his sarcasm. I can work with that, she thought. A sense of humor was always appreciated. Now on safe, secure land, Dawn turned to watch her companion come over, too. She took a moment to wring out a bit of the water which had collected in her hair. Oh, the moment this stuff got dry, she was gonna have to pray she had kept a hair tie in her pockets. Thank goodness she usually grabbed chapstick and an accessory just in case before leaving. Actually, she probably should check what she had on person, now. Doing a quick pat to make sure everything was hunky dory as far as her personal inventory went, Dawn whipped her head around too quick.
She froze, fighting the sudden dizziness. Her knees rejected any movement and she looked to be in a bit of a trance. It passed as quickly as it came. She returned to walking by Jack’s side. ”Hey, there’s a trainer’s cafe in town. I think they’re pretty used to half-drown rats walking in, so can we stop there?”

”Hey, there’s a trainer’s cafe in town. I think they’re pretty used to half-drown rats walking in, so can we stop there?” Dawn asked as two continued to make their way through the forest.
Looking up, Jack could start to see the beginning of the street ahead. From the look Dawn was portraying, it would be wise to stop to rest for a bit. She looked like she needed it.
"I'll buy." Jack said as he continued walking.
Making their way through the dark dense forest, the two finally arrived on the street. Looking left, and looking right Jack could see numerous and random building through the dense fog that was now blanketing the land. He had seen on his map that was given to him by the Principal that restaurant's and a variety of other establishment were just around the corner to the right.
Looking back at Dawn, he extended his hand out to her in case she needed the help climbing the slope to get on street level, given her current condition...
"Looks like we made it. If I remember correctly that cafe you mentioned should be just up ahead." Jack stated as he looked around at the fog.
"Hmm... It was cold outside and the weather brought cold rain, so why is it foggy out? Was a Pokemon doing this?" Jack thought to himself. Then again, maybe he was just over thinking... or was he?

She looked off to the side. In this instance, she was pretty glad she had that low grade fever running. It wouldn’t do to say anything regarding that, she supposed, when he just so nonchalantly threw it out there. A part of her didn’t like this very much, used to reactions and some sort of pattern to go by. Jack seemed to just do what he did without much of a fuss. No drama. For Dawn, it was like going from the salt water ocean to a spring fed stream. To her, it seemed to pure.
Don’t idealize, people, she chided herself, that’s rude and they’re bound to let you down if they do.
Civilization was so nice. Maybe it was because her time in the forest had seem unrealistically long. Stretching happily, Dawn breathed in the foggy air of Shupert City. Taking Jack’s hand, she stepped fully back into the concrete jungle. Unless he made a move to take his hand from hers, she would continue to hold his.
She looked through the fog, moreso squinting. That’s when she spotted it. The Shupert branch of Cafe Pokemon-Amie. Its headquarters was located in Lumoise City, but it was a haven for anyone who liked pokemon at all. Crap… I look like a train wreck. Pride aside, Dawn; for once, pride aside. Reaching her free arm into her bag, which she had slid up her shoulder a short while ago, she rooted around for Psyche’s pokeball. The kitten might enjoy this. She’d only let the cat out once they were in the cafe, though.
”You know, things are looking up. The fog’s better than the rain.” She looked to Jack and winked. ”We might even see a rainbow.”

As Dawn reached up and took his hand, he wasn't expecting her to continue holing onto it. The feeling actually stopped his train of thought as his attention went from the fog to her hand. He was not used to this sort of... affection. More like he was not really trained on it you could say. Looking down at the two of their hands together, he zoned out for a second.
”You know, things are looking up. The fog’s better than the rain.” Dawn said as she then looked to Jack and winked. ”We might even see a rainbow.”
Coming back to his senses, Jack nodded as he then shook his head free of any thoughts. "Y-yeah... Don't you think you've seen enough excitement for one day?" Jack asked.
Continuing to head towards the Cafe, they passed various random people on the side walk. They too seemed to be coming outside now that the rain had stopped. Through the fog, the bright glows of the neon lights that lit up the signs to the restaurants and shops could be seen. It was cool to see in a way. You would first see the glow, then next thing you know you would then see the building clearly surrounded by the fog. Walk a little and if you looked back, that place would be gone again, and you would find yourself in front of a new shop.
Coming to a stop, the two of them were now in front of the Cafe Dawn suggested. They would be a sight to see. They were both soaked, Dawn was fighting off her sickness, and Jack had a tear in his pants around his calf that was bleeding.
Stepping up to the door, Jack used his free hand as he opened the door for Dawn...
