It seemed that the Totodile had learned a new move. It was always good to see Pokemon learning and growing in battle. He could not have much strength left because of the poison, so now was the time to attack. "Dodge and use Scratch!" Unfortunately, June was not quick enough to dodge. Hopefully her own attack would be enough to take down her opponent.
June's eyes widened when Chomper came at her with his jaws wide. She attempted to scramble out of the way, but her little legs would not carry her fast enough. Most of the Totodile's teeth grazed her, though she was able to get out of the way before he could choose clamp on and not let go. Chomper smiled slightly when his attack worked. They poison took affect again, though, and he stood there panting heavily. He did not have the strength to dodge the on-coming Scratch attack. As he felt himself losing consciousness, he hoped his trainer had been proud of his effort.
"Chomper!" Kiki said in dismay. At least he had fought well and defeated one opponent. "Take a nice rest." She took out his Pokeball and returned him. She did not have to think long about her next choice. "Come on you, Cody!" The cute puppy appeared in a flash of light. "Use Baby-Doll Eyes and Tackle!" It was time to start off strong. She knew he would be able to get the job done, for he knew how to be tough when it was needed.
Cody wagged his tail happily. It looked like he was battling. <Hi!> he said to the Paras and her trainer. Now it was time to fight. He sat down and gave June a cute look. Then he hooped up and ran towards her in hopes of tackling her. Battling was so fun!

Jenna smiled when she saw the Lillipup. "He's cute." But they were still going to win. "Quick, dodge it, June!" She nodded in satisfaction when her Pokemon was able to do so. Baby-Doll eyes were lower her attack power, but there was nothing they could do about that. "Now use Scratch!" It had worked on Chomper, so maybe it would be effective against Cody as well. There was only one way to find out.
June thought Cody was cute as well. She blushed slightly when he used Baby-Doll Eyes. Luckily, she was attentive enough to hear her trainer's command. She was able to dart out of the way of the Tackle. Without slowing down, she turned and ran back at the Lillipup, raising her claw to strike. Kiki gritted her teeth when the Paras dodged. Well, they could do that as well. "Cody, you dodge too!" She almost sighed in relief when he was able to complete the task. He could not get winded so early in the battle. Perhaps it was time to dry a better move. "Use Bite!" The two Pokemon were still close to each other, so hopefully this one would be effective.
Cody frowned when his Tackle missed. He skidded to a halt and looked around for June. He let out a small yelp when he saw her coming straight at him. Scrambling, he was able to get out of the way just in time. Upon hearing his trainer's command, he spun and ran at the Paras again. He opened his mouth wide to chomp on her. He did not like the taste of bug, but he would do what he had to in order to win.

Jenna watched as the Lillipup was able to get out of the way of June's attack. That little one was fast. Unfortunately, his Bite struck its mark. "Hang in there, June. Use Leech Life!" Leech Life was a good move because it did damage and gave energy back to the user. It would keep the Paras going for a little bit longer. This battle was getting interesting.
June frowned when her attack missed. Hey, were did that puppy go? Her eyes widened when she saw him running towards her again. This time, she was unable to dodge. She winced as she felt his teeth clamp down on her body. <Hey!> She cried. Once she wiggled free, she took a deep breath to calm herself. Then she used Leech Life to drain Cody's energy. That should do it. Yes, Bite had hit! The battle was going well so far. Kiki was excited to see just what else Cody could do. It was too bad there was nothing they could do about Leech Life. They were just going to have to strike back harder. "Use Leer and Tackle!" She hoped the added Leer would make Tackle effective this time.
Cody jumped up and down after succeeding in Bite. <Yay!> He smiled at his opponent. <You're not bad.> He wished they could be friends. Oh well. He sucked in a sharp breath when he felt his energy being stolen from them. That was not very nice! He leered at June in retaliation. Then he ran straight at her, barking.

Leech Life did not do as much as Jenna had hoped. Still, it was progress. The Leer and Tackle combination was a good idea. The Leer scared June into being unable to move, and she was struck by the Lillipup. However, they were not about to give up yet. "Alright, use Stun Spore!" Even if Cody was not paralyzed by the move, it would still do a lot of damage.
June shook in fear form the Leer. She wanted to dodge, but she found herself frozen in place. She winced when she was hit by her opponent. That had hurt! <Take this!> She turned towards him and blew a glittering cloud of dust towards Cody. Hopefully he would still be close to her and the attack would hit. Kiki nodded in approval when her combination worked. It looked like the Paras was wearing out. A couple of more hits should do it. She bit her lip when June used Stun Spore. This could be bad. "Hang in there, Cody. Use Bite!" It had worked well the last time, so she thought she would try it again. Just a little bit longer.
Cody grinned as he backed away from June. <That was fun.> He seemed to have spoken too soon. He coughed as he inhaled the dust. He did not feel himself become paralyzed, but he did lose a lot of energy. <No far!> He growled before running forward to bite the bug type. It was time for revenge!

Not Bite again. "Dodge and use Scratch!" June was hit by the attack, to her trainer's dismay. It did not look like she could take much more. This last hit might be all they would be able to get in. Jenna was impressed with the way the challenger was handling herself. She was enjoying this battle quite well.
<Sorry,> June said. She did agree that this was kind of fun. She did not like the puppy's jaws, though. She scurried away, but it was too late. She winced as she felt teeth in her skin. The attacks from both Pokemon hit their mark. However, it was clear that June was much more exhausted than Cody. It was time to wrap this up. "No, Cody, use Tackle!" She assumed that the Paras would be too tired to be able to dodge. It was time to win this round.
Cody had struck again. <Yay!> he said, jumping up and down. His eyes widened when he saw June coming after him. <Uh oh!> It was too late for him to run. He clenched his teeth when the bug's claw raked across his side. A determined look crossed his face upon hearing his next order. It was time to show this Paras who was boss! He howled as he ran towards her to Tackle her.

June was unable to withstand the last attack. She flew backwards, landing on her back. She had fainted.
"Good work, June," Jenna said with a slight smile as she took out her Pokeball. She looked at Kiki. "Not bad. Let's see how you handle my last Pokemon. Come on out, Timtom!" The Heracross that appeared was her strongest Pokemon. The challenger was going to have to be tough to beat him. "Use Horn Attack!"
There was a gleam in Timtom's eyes as he stared at his opponent. <Are you ready?> he said gruffly. Without waiting for a response, he ran forward with his head lowered. He loved starting off strong. Kiki grinned when the Paras fainted. Two down, one to go. "Way to go, Cody!" The puppy had certainly improved since she had first obtained him. She could not wait to see what was in store for them. She nodded at Jenna's compliment. "Thanks. You're pretty good yourself." She looked over the Heracross that appeared. He seemed tough. They were going to have to fight harder. "Alright, Cody, dodge and use Bite!"
Cody wagged his tail upon achieving victory. <Yay!> He barked happily. At his trainer's words, he looked back at her and grinned. <Thank you.> When he looked forward again, his new opponent had appeared. It was time to fight. He did not like the look of that horn. He attempted to dodge, but he was unable because he was too tired. He winced in pain as he fell to the ground. After slowly getting up, he ran towards the other Pokemon to Bite him.

The Lillipup was still ready to go, though his energy seemed to be draining. Jenna planned to wrap this up soon. Before she could tell her Pokemon to dodge, he was struck by Bite. No matter. They could still defeat them. "Timtom, use Ariel Ace!" This should do it. There was no way Cody would be able to withstand the attack if it hit.
Timtom nodded in satisfaction upon completing his attack. He instinctively attempted to dodge when the Lillipup ran after him. However, he was only partially able to get out of the way, and the puppy's teeth grazed his skin. He turned around and glared at him. Time for his best attack. He ran forward as quickly as he could, planning to slash his opponent at the last second. Cody could feel his teeth almost clamp down on the Heracross. Unfortunately, he was unable to get a good grip. he stood there, panting, as he tried to figure out what to do. He had little time to think. The next thing he knew, his opponent's horn slashed him. He fell to the ground and fainted.
Kiki smiled sadly as he watched her Pokemon faint. At least he had put up a good fight. "Take a rest, Cody," she said gently. She still had one of her Pokemon left, and she was her strongest. After returning the Lillipup, she released her final Pokemon. "It's your turn, Alice. Use Vine Whip!" She was sure she could count on her partner to finish the job.
Alice blinked and looked around. It was a battle. Excellent! It seemed like they had finally made their way to the first battle leader. The Chikorita was determined to fight hard and not let her trainer down. This was what they had been working so hard towards! <Good luck,> she said to the Heracross. Then she immediately struck out her vines to hit him.

Jenna nodded in approval when the Lillipup was knocked out. Now it was a one-on-one battle. There sure was getting interesting. The Chikorita that appeared looked tough. This was going to be a hard fight. She was going to make Kiki work hard for victory. "Alright, Timtom, dodge and use Tackle!" There was going to be no messing around.
Timtom smirked when he appeared victorious. That had been easy. It did seem like it would be a bit harder to defeat the Chikorita, but he was not worried. He trusted his trainer. He nodded once at Alice's greeting. <Hi. You're going down.> He jumped back to evade her attack. Then he ran forward, attempting to Tackle her.
