Zoey winced as the Sunkern used Absorb, which drained some of Lila's energy out of her. She still looked fine, though. Realizing that Lila needed to endure two attacks, she knew it was probably best not to use Growl again. However, it had counteracted the Growth. Not using any moves at all still troubled her, though. "Lila, just hang tight, okay? You'll attack soon, but not yet." She hoped she would understand. The little Pachirisu loved to battle, but she knew she would probably understand and enjoy the attack they were waiting for.
Lila gritted her teeth as her energy was taken from her against her will. There had been no way to escape it. When it was over, she quickly shook it off. It was her turn now! What? She had to wait? Fine. She could do that. She stood still as she glared at the Sunkern. The Sunkren blinked when it was not attacked. It seemed to shake off the confusion, and it used Absorb again.

Zoey frowned slightly as Lila took the Absorb again. Was that all the Sunkern was going to use? It was a pretty powerful and useful attack. Lila's first attack seemed to have not made much of a difference at all now. She was relieved they were going to be able to finally attack back. "Alright, Lila, you get to attack now. Use Bide!" After having to endure two attacks, now her own attack would be twice as powerful as what she had to endure. She hoped it was worth it.
Lila continued to glare at the Sunkern as her energy was drained. She wanted to attack back. It wasn't battling if she didn't attack back! Zoey's command was like music in her ears. Finally. Smirking, she ran towards the Sunkern in order to attack it. Lila Level: 7 Attacks: Growl, Bide, Quick Attack Abilities: Run Away, Pickup, Volt Absorb Hit By: Absorb Used: Bide Health: Yellow |

The Sunkren by a wave of energy that sent it lying into the wall. Once it recovered, it glared at the Pachirisu. It sent out roots to restore health to it on each turn. Why had it not done this from the beginning?

Zoey's eyes widened slightly at how much power Bide had on the Sunkern. It looked like it had taken quite a bit of damage. "Wow, great job, Lila!" she said with a smile. She frowned in confusion when the Sunkern sunk roots into the ground. What was that for? It wasn't an attack. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good. They better finish this off as soon as they could. "Use Growl and then Quick Attack!" No more Bide. It was time for some quick action.
Lila grinned at her successful attack. She had caused the Sunkern to hit the wall! This was fun. She tilted her head in curiosity when the Sunkern put roots into the floor. This was one weird Pokemon. She was happy her trainer was still telling her to attack. Glaring at the grass type, she let out a fierce growl before running at near lightning speed towards it. Silly Pokemon. If it had its roots in the floor, how could it dodge? From its roots, the Sunkern sucked up some energy. It was unable to dodge the Quick Attack, but it was not out yet. It stayed where it was and used Absorb. It was going to take some more effort to cause this self-healing Pokemon to faint.

This was not good. It looked like the Sunkern was healing itself through its roots. Then, it was using Absorb. She frowned, not liking that Lila had no chance in dodging that attack. It was time for a plan. The question was, wait and use Bide again or continue to use the combination of Growl and Quick Attack? She worried for Lila, though. She was not sure she would be able to take that much damage again without attacking back. If she chose to use Bide, then she wouldn't be able to use Growl if she wanted to have as much of an effect as last time. Growl and Quick Attack it was. "Lila, you can do this. Use Growl and Quick Attack again!"
Lila looked at the Sunkern in dismay. It was healing itself? It was doing it two ways now. That wasn't fair! She glared at the Sunkern as her energy was taken from her yet again. <Cheater!> she spat at it. She gladly growled at it. <You will go down, Seed-Brain!> She ran forward as fast as she could, determined to strike hard. The Sunkern did not appear fazed by the Pachirisu's accusation. It simply used Absorb once again. It was only taking a little bit of damage at a time. Peristence would win this battle.

Zoey wondered if Lila was even doing any damage at all since the Sunkern was regaining energy right after. The only thing they could do, though, was to push on. Hopefully they would be able to defeat it eventually. That Absorb sure was annoying too. Did this Pokemon have any move that didn't involve healing itself? She had to admire the grass type, though. Being able to heal itself was pretty cool. "Just hang in there, okay, Lila? We'll get it soon," she said, hoping to encourage her Pachirisu. "Use Growl and then Quick Attack."
Lila frowned when her energy was sucked out of her again. <Hey, cut that out, cheater!> she growled at the Sunkern. It needed to stop that if she wanted to win. She had to win. She couldn't allow the cheater to win. Hearing her trainer's words, she felt a little better. She would continue until she was told to stop. They would win. Letting out a Growl, she ran forward nearly as fast as lightning and aimed for the grass type. The Sunkern knew it was down to its limits. It decided to use Growth this time to increase its power.

The Sunkern was growing again. That couldn't be good. Lila had taken a lot of damage, and she wasn't sure how much more energy she had left. She looked like she was hanging in there pretty well, though, and she was glad. "Great job, Lila. Let's keep this going with Growl and Quick Attack." She hoped this battle would end soon.
The Pachirisu was glad she had been able to attack the Sunkern again. When she looked back at her, though, she frowned. It was growing again? Was that cheating too? <You're a dirty cheater! Come on, why don't you attack me?> she teased it. She growled at her opponent again. That was fun. When she was satisfied with that, she ran for another Quick Attack. The Sunkern was unable to withstand the last Quick Attack. Its vines retracted into its body and it fell over, fainted. Then a mechanical voice said: "Congratulations, you have won. Take your helmets off if you are finished."

<Yeah! Take that, Seed-Brain!> Lila called out to the virtual Pokemon. Yes, she had won! That cheater had lost. She jumped up to hug her trainer, glad she had won the battle.
Zoey felt happy and relieved when the Sunkern finally fainted. They had done it! "Great job, Lila!" she said, gently hugging her when she leapt into her arms. She placed the Pachirisu on the floor in order to take her helmet off. She took off Lila's helmet off too. "Enjoy a nice rest," she said, returning her to her Pokeball. Now, she had one more Pokemon to go. "Come on out, Flower." She smiled down at her Mudkip when she appeared. "Are you ready for some battling?" Once she put helmets on both of them, they were in the same white room as before. She patiently waited for their opponent to show up.
Flower looked around calmly when she appeared in a blank, white room. They were going to battle? That sounded like fun! She loved to battle and show how strong she was. Whoever she was going to battle was going to lose. She would make sure of it. A Helioptile appeared before the trainer and Pokemon. It gave them a goofy grin as it stood there.

Zoey took in their next opponent. It was cute, especially with that cute, goofy grin it was giving them. Of course, they couldn't underestimate the opponent based on its cuteness. Flower knew that and made sure no one did that to her. Hmm... It was an electric type, which would make it tough for Flower to take in her electric type moves. She knew she was up to that challenge, though. "Let's start out with Tackle," she said. It was good to start out simple in order to test the waters first.
Flower looked at the Pokemon that appeared in front of her. <What are you smiling like that for?> she asked, not completely realizing that it could not respond to her. Maybe it was just trying to make her let her guard down. Well, that wasn't going to happen. She was going to win this! She ran forward immediately for a tackle when Zoey told her.
