Zoey smiled when Meowthers was able to dodge the Shieldon. "Good work." That Bite was working well; it was a lot stronger than Scratch. However, it wasn't good to keep using the same move. She wondered if the virtual Pokemon would be able to detect that and learn. She watched as her Meowth was hit by the Tackle with a little worry, but she smiled lightly when he seemed fine. "Now, Growl and then Scratch with both of your paws," she said when Meowthers looked ready.  Meowthers Level: 6 Attacks: Scratch, Growl, Bite Hit By: Tackle Used: Growl, Scratch Health: Yellow |

Meowthers liked his biting move. He hoped he would get to use it again later. For now, he listened to his trainer and let out a low growl. Then he raced forward. When he was close to his opponent, he stood up on two feet and raked the Shieldon's flank with both of his claws. This was exciting!
The Shieldon was made less wary from the Growl, so it was unable to dodge the Scratch. Now it was mad. it started to Taunt Meowthers so that he would only be able to use attack moves for three turns.

It looked like Meowthers was having a good time. That was good. His Scratch hadn't had much of an effect at all, but she had expected that. Normal moves were not great against a rock and steal type like Shieldon. She frowned when it used Taunt. That was fine; they could do without Growl for a while. Meowthers was strong. "Let's use Bite again!" she said.

The Shieldon used Protect to evade the attack. Then he ran forward to Tackle the Meowth. However, it rook some time to switch between attacks.
Meowthers tried to bite the Shieldon, but his jaws clamped around air. Hey, that was no fair! He spun to see the Pokemon using Protect. Great. He knew another attack would be coming soon, though, so he quickly got out of there. He sighed in relief when he was able to dodge the Tackle. That was close.

Zoey frowned when the Shieldon used Protect. That wasn't fair! Well, it was a good thing it couldn't use it every time if it wanted it to succeed. "Great job!" she said to Meowthers when he dodged the Shieldon's Tackle. He still needed to only use an attack move, so she knew what to tell him next. "Let's try Bite again." The Shieldon tried to run out of the way this time, but it was too slow and was bitten by the Meowth. It then spun around and ran forward to try another Tackle.
Meowthers was happy when his jaw clamped down on the Shieldon. He had done it this time! His happiness was short-lives, however. His energy was waning, and he was unable to dodge the next Tackle. He fell to the floor in a heap and was slow to get up. <That hurt.>

Zoey watched worriedly as Meowthers got hit. "Are you okay?" she asked him in concern. He looked pretty worn out. "Use Bite one more time! I know you can do it!" she said, hoping to be able to encourage her Meowth. She was a bit nervous about that Protect, but everything would be alright. Meowthers was strong enough. They just had to push through.

The Shieldon attempted to dodge, but the Meowth was too quickl. Exhausted, it fell over and became still. Then a mechanical voice choes throughout the room: "Congratulations, you have won. Take your helmets off if you are finished."
<I'm fine,> Meowthers said to Zoey. Usually he would have given up by now, but he wanted to win for her! He used the last of his strength to rush forward and bite the Shieldon. He could hardly believe it when it fainted. He won! He had not won a battle in a long time. <Yay!> he cried as he jumped up and down on his paws.
Shieldon Level: 6 Attacks: Tackle, Protect, Taunt Abilities: Sturdy, Soundproof Hit By: Bite Used: Tackle Health: --- Meowthers has gained 2 levels.

"Yeah!" Zoey cheered when the Shieldon fainted. "You did it, Meowthers! Great job!" She smiled at him as she took off her helmet and then his. She bent down and gently stroked him for a moment. "You're probably pretty tired now. You deserve a nice rest." She made a note to give him as well as the other Pokemon she would be training with a treat later. When Meowthers was back in his Pokeball, she thought about which Pokemon she wanted to train with next. She had not battled with Lila yet, so she was probably a good choice. "We're going to battle, okay?" she said to her Pachirisu when she appeared.
Lila glanced around the strange, new place. Battle? She looked up at her trainer and smiled. She was good at that. <Okay!>
Zoey smiled softly as she put a helmet on Lila. After she put her own on, they were back at the same blank, white room. Now, they just needed to wait to find out which Pokemon they would be facing. After a minute, a Sunkren appeared before the trainer and Pachirisu. It smiled at them as it sat there, waiting for them to attack.

Zoey watched the Sunkern as it stood there. She had always found grass types to be interesting, though they were not her favorite type. Grass types did not take as much damage from electric type moves, so it was a good thing Lila didn't know any yet. "Alright, Lila, let's start off with Quick Attack!" she said to her Pokemon.
Lila looked at the grass type, not liking the smile it was giving her. Was it up to something? It was her opponent, so she didn't like it. At her trainer's words, she ran forward at a speed that almost made her invisible. <Take this, seed-brain!> she yelled at it as she ran. The Sunkren was unfazed by the Pachirisu's rude insult. Why would it be planning anything? It was a computer simulation! The grass type was hit by the Quick Attack. In response, it used Growth to raise its attack and speed attack stats.

Zoey blinked when the Sunkern grew larger. That couldn't be good. She began to open her mouth to tell Lila to use Quick Attack again, but then she closed it, thinking better of it. Her only other attack was Bide, which could be a pretty powerful move. She didn't like the thought of just letting her Pokemon take hits without striking back or attempting to dodge. Maybe it could be used as a last resort, but she needed to see how it worked first. "Lila, use Growl!" There. That would lessen the attack. Wait, that would make Bide less powerful, right? Oh, well. They would just have to see what happened.
<Ha!> Lila cheered when she hit the Sunkern. <Take that!> She trotted back around to face it. <What now?> she asked her trainer, ready to strike again. She watched as her opponent grew, but she did not waver. It was still going down! Only Growl? That must mean she would be preparing for a damaging attack for later. <Eat dirt!> she said as she gave the Sunkern a fierce Growl. The Sunkren smiled happily when it was not hit by an attack. Then it used Absorb.
