The storm did not bother some Pokemon, particularly those who found the wind extremely helpful, like the Cottonee couple that floated through the forest. They were quite contented and happy being with each other. They did not really understand why no one else was around. Storms were excellent! They both enjoyed letting the wind guide them were it may. Right now, the wind was guiding them right into the face of two trainers. The female Cottonee hit the male trainer, and the male hit the female. Both of them were stunned by their sudden lack of movement forward.

Whoa! The tauros was sure big. Dawn looked at in awe while the bunnelby, yet to be named, merely let out a low whistle. Dawn turned from admiring the tauros to pay attention to her new mentor. That… means key! Grinning to herself for being clever enough to recall what little she’d learned about some of her heritage, Dawn made a note to call him that from now. ”Yup, I’m ready!” she sing-songed. She reached out, seeing if she could pat the bull as well. ”Nice to meet you, Gyuki~!”
Of course, at this time, the cottonees arrived. Dawn was caught off guard, sputtering and reaching her hands up to remove whatever soft and fluffy thing had gently-as-slamming-could-be slammed into her. ”What in the--?!” Vision cleared, Dawn blinked. She didn’t know what it was, but it was a pretty color. ”Ooo,” she cooed. She looked over to Kagi, getting ready to ask if he knew what it was when she saw he was stuck with a similar delima. She brought one of her hands up to her mouth to cover up a slight giggle.
Attention back on the foreign grass types, Dawn tried to reach out to touch the soft fibers of the cottonee. ”So soft,” she mused. Wait… if they were different colors, was… one of them shiny?! Which one, though?!

Kagirinai's eyes caught movement heading towards them as something headed right towards his face aiming to collide head on with him. He brought his right hand up removing it from his pocket and struck the incoming ball of cotton with an open palm slapping it towards the right to avoid being struck. He flicked his wrist as he placed his hand back into his pocket. He eyed the male cotton which had headed towards Dawn a shiny pokemon huh. He turned his attention back to the other cottonee deciding to focus on it instead. He would simply catch it and sell it to the highest bidder later on. Gyuki snorted blowing steam out of his nostrils. His tails swung through the air viciously as the Taurus roared and stomped the ground with his right hoof. Kagirinai nodded his head and Gyuki snorted again before he charged towards the female pokemon going on the offensive deciding to begin with his rage attack. He lowered his horns as he thundered across the grass his hooves pounding loudly against the earth as he charged in. The female Cottonee was relieved when she was pushed back away from the trainer's face. Her eyes fell to the Tauros out of curiosity. She had not noticed him before, and she thought he looked pretty tough. Before she could greet him, he was running at her for an attack! She had not seen that coming, especially since the trainer had not give out a command. Luckily, the weather was on her side, and she was able to glide up and away from the raging Pokemon. Well, time to attack back. She stirred up some Fairy Wind and hurled it at the Tauros.
The male Cottonee blushed when he realized what had happened. <Sorry,> he said to the girl. He had not meant to run into her like that. He smiled when she touched him. It sounded like she liked him, which made him happy. However, he was troubled when his partner appeared to get sucked into a battle. He stayed where he was, though, for he knew she did not like it when he got involved in her affairs. He simply sent a worried glance her way, hoping she would be alright.

Dawn giggled at the cottonee’s apology and blush. Aw, yeah! He and Mormo were pretty similar--both little sweethearts. She looked over to where he glanced, though. ”Whoa,” she cooed, thoroughly impressed by Gyuki’s attack though it had missed the first time. The rage seemed to pack quite a punch… she wondered how the cottonee would have faired against it. Then again, it was using some attack Dawn had never seen before. Tucking her hair behind her ear, Dawn looked to the shiny cottonee. Just like before, she would ask before even attempting to catch him. It was only fair. ”Um, hi. I’m Dawn, and this is…” She looked down to the gray bunnelby, pondering what she should call him. ”This is Locke. I was wondering if you’d be interested in letting me catch you? I’m not a very strong battler, but I do take very good care of my pokemon.”The newly named Locke snickered. ”I can’t, aaah, vouch for ya, tuts, so don’t expect me to do much more than battle this balooka.”The unselfish part of Dawn realized she should probably make sure the little guy’s partner wasn’t getting mauled… But, then again, if she was, was it really Dawn’s business? Oh, what were the responsibilities of a trainer? I wonder if I should put a tracker on Kagi… she mused as she waited on the cottonee’s answer, her new bunnelby at the ready. level: 6 attacks: leer, agility, tackle abilities: huge power, pickup, cheek pouch hit by: -- used: -- health: high green |

The wind began to pick up as a gust blew forth slamming into Gyuki. He roared as he dug his hooves into the ground his body sliding backwards from the blow. His fur was ruffled from the damage received as his tails whipped about to lower the Cottonee's defence. His eyes glowed as he released a loud bellowing battle cry as his anger reached its breaking point. he slammed his hoof into the earth with a loud thundering boom. Gyuki snorted causing dust to spread out away from him as he stomped the ground beginning his attack. His rage activated as he bellowed again as the fierce winds lashed out against him. He snorted and began his charge thundering across the earth as he charged towards the floating Cottonee. His legs stiffened as he leapt upwards horns lowered as he aimed to crash into the mid air pokemon. Level: 12 Attacks: Horn Attack, Rage, Tail Whip, Tackle, Scary Face Abilities: Anger Point, Intimidate, Sheer Force Hit By: Fairy Wind (Critical) Used: Tail Whip, Rage

The normal Cottonee attempted to sue the wind to dodge again, but she was not as lucky this time. The bottom half of her was struck by the Rage attack, and she tumbled to the ground. Feeling dizzy, she slowly got back up. At least her own attack had seemed to do a good amount of damage. She knew what she could do now. A ball of energy was released form her to take energy from the Tauros and give it back to her. She loved attacks that did damage and healed herself as well.
The shiny Cottonee looked away from his companion and back at the girl. Catch him? He did not particularly want to be caught. He had been fine living with the other Cottonee in the forest. Then again, that was before they ran into these two trainers, and he did not know if she would make it out alright. The trainers seemed to be friends, so perhaps it would be alright if they both went with one of them. This Dawn girl seemed pretty decent anyhow. <Ok,> he said, bobbing his head in the air. <If you can defeat me... I'll go with you.> He hoped he knew what he was doing.

Dawn clasped her hands together. ”Okay, cool, cool.” She paused, wondering if she should get out a different pokemon. She crouched again, speaking to Locke. ”Hey, do you think you can take him?””Do I look weak to you?!” the bunnelby demanded. Dawn frowned. ”I… don’t actually know anything about you.” She sighed, getting out her pokedex to look over Locke’s stats. Hm… level six. And, as she scanned the cottonee, she discovered its level and what it was. Grass type? Hm, and so many levels over Locke. The worry was clear on her face. The bunnelby thumped his big foot against Dawn’s knee. ”Hey, Docette! Gimme a li’l credit, would ya?!”Standing, Dawn nodded. If worse came to worse, she could cheat and bring out Marco, she supposed. ”Alright, Locke. Activate your huge power ability and use agility and tackle.”The bunnelby obeyed, focusing to activate his ability before using his agility move to get some extra speed going into his tackle. He’d launch himself off the ground. If successful, he’d slam into the cottonee. level: 6 attacks: leer, agility, tackle abilities: huge power, pickup, cheek pouch hit by: -- used: agility, tackle health: high green |

Gyuki slid back as the absorb connected. He could feel his health being lightly drained but this only went to boost his growing rage and anger. He gave a loud roar as he shook his head. His tails whipped through the air striking at the ground kicking up dust and debris in order to further decrease the gliding pokemon's defence so his attacks would do more damage to the floating ball of cotton. Gyuki snorted and stomped at the ground and began his charge his rage building up as he roared. He thundered across the grass his hooves patting against the earth as he lunged leaping up towards the Cottonee in order to slam into it with his rage as its max strength. Kagirinai used his right index finger to push his glasses up as he kept his left hand in his lab coat pocket. He observed the battle with a careful gaze taking in all the details and notes keeping them safely locked away in his brain. His eyes following the movements of the battle as he remained standing in a single spot. The female Cottonee was having a little less luck. She had taken back some energy, but the second Rage attack stole even more from her. She could feel herself weakening. With a nervous look at her partner, she knew she had to do something quickly or she would be captured. She was unsure if she could out perform the Tauros on offense, so she would try something else. If it failed, she would try even harder to dodge the next attack. She gathered up a dusty cloud of paralyzing powder and hurled it at the other Pokemon.
The male Cottonee watched the interaction between trainer and Pokemon calmly. Once the situation was settled, he took a battle stance. He hoped he would be able to do well. He attempted to use the wind to dodge the Tackle, but the Bunnelby was too quick for him. He let out a small "oof" as he was pushed back in the air. He quickly shook it off. He was alright! He carefully aimed and shot out a seed at his opponent to steal some of his energy each turn. That was bound to do him some good!

Dawn pumped her fist into the air when Locke’s attack connected. ”Attaboy!”Proud and pleased his new trainer was impressed with his skills, the bunnelby landed. If only he had a carrot, then he could properly perform a smug imitating of his idol’s lines. <No problem, tuts.> He looked up in time to see the single leech seed being shot at him. Not waiting for Dawn’s orders, he once again used agility to increase his speed, bouncing up and off a nearby tree to propel him into the air. With the cottonee’s prankster ability, if he had waited, he would have definitely been seeded. <What’s up, doc?> the bunnelby asked the cottonee as it landed again. <I’m not fond of nuts. Carrots, though, mm~!>”Locke, use leer,” the coordinator in training instructed. With the difference in levels displayed here, they were going to have to rely on Locke’s speed and lowering the cottonee's defense to get any work done. For the moment, Dawn was just glad the seed had a single direction in which to go. If the cottonee used a wider, sweeping move… well, running didn’t help much in those situations, did it? level: 6 attacks: leer, agility, tackle abilities: huge power, pickup, cheek pouch hit by: -- used: agility, leer health: high green |

Kagirinai brushed a strand of hair away from his right eye and spoke for the first time since the battle start, "Gyuki, hold your breathe" spoke the Japanese male as he pushed his glasses up in his signature manner, with his right index finger. Gyuki nodded and quickly breathed in as the cloud of powder came closer. His cheeks puffed out as he held his breathe as the powder landed around him. His tails flicked through the air whipping about for tail whip to lower the cottonee's defence even lower. His rage began to grow as he came charging out of the powder keeping his breathe held as he charged towards the floating pokemon and leapt into the air in order to slam into her with his rage attack again. Level: 12 Attacks: Horn Attack, Rage, Tail Whip, Tackle, Scary Face Abilities: Anger Point, Intimidate, Sheer Force Hit By: Used: Tail Whip, Rage

The female knew she had to dodge this time or the end would be near for her. Fortunately, the weather was on her side. She moved with the wind just in time to fly up high above the Tauros' attack. While she was still high up, she used Growth to increase her attack and speed attack. Then she decided to use Absorb again. Once she had some of her strength back, she could launch a great attack of her own. She just hoped she would last that long.
The male blinked at the Bunnelby. Carrots? He was not too fond of those himself. They were two large and hard to chew. He shook the thoughts from his head, not wanting to be distracted. Boy, that Pokemon was fast. He had lowered his defense, but at least he had not attacked yet. The Cottonee took this opportunity to stir up the fairy wind around him and send it hurling at his opponent. <Take that!> he said gleefully. Battling was quite fun, actually.

Ayame decided to take a stroll in the forest, and she greatly enjoyed in the warming weather...
Not a preblemo.
Not one at all...
Ayame was caught up in the moment, drunken by the smell of the growing leaves. She continued on the path and only tripped once. The pokemon coordinator was actually scouring for pokemon she could 'fabulize' for the next contest. She recently received three eggs; but, who knows what pokemon would hatch.
Bah,
Eggs were such a hassle... AND HOW DID SHE AQQUIRE THREE. She mentally facepalmed again.
She heard a battle in progress in the distance, how interesting. She rushed over.
Two surprises:
*Dawn was there.
*One of the pokemon was shiny!
Ayame nearly peed herself, she wanted, no, NEEDED the pokemon. She would do her usual, butt in and act as if she was there the whole time. She scuffled through her bag and grabbed a pokeball. She stepped in and went into a sort of a horse-stance, she smirked.
"I hope you don't mind a helping hand!" She threw the red and white pokeball straight into the air above her head, "Fiore! C'mon out!"
The pokeball split open and let out a white light... It formed into a rose pokemon.
"Use Poison Sting on the orange one!" Fiore let out at flurry of purple needles glowing white with poison out of her blue flower at the Cottonee.
