It's Time to Train [Open/Mod]

Sawyer decided to check out the festival on her own. She thought it was cool that the unviersity was holding something like this. She first visited some food booths and played some games. Then she decided she was up for a battle. She had some training to do if she wanted to challenge the first battle leader. She found the area off to the side that was saved just for battles. Luckily, there was no one there at the moment. She hated waiting in line. She stood in the middle of the area and then looked around for a challenger. "Who wants to battle?" she called out to the crowd. She hoped it would not take long to receive a response. OOC: This will be an up to 3-on-3 battle. Please only use Pokemon within the levels of 3-10. |

Hamilton had been roaming the festival, checking everything out. He soon got bored and decided to look for a battle. Of course, he headed straight to the area reserved for battling. He just hoped there was not already a battle taking place. Upon arriving, he was pleased to find a challenger already waiting for him. "Hey, do you ant to battle? I'm Hamilton, and you're going to lose!" He tossed a Pokeball into the air. "Come on out, Spatz" A small Pichu appeared int he grass in front of him.

Sawyer smirked when she saw Hamilton. "Yes. I will battle you. I'm Sawyer, and you are the one going to lose." She was glad to have found such a confident opponent; that would make it much more fun. She examined the Pokemon he tossed out. A Pichu, huh? She had a good match-up for him. "Come on, Milton!" Her new Tepig appeared on the grass. "Let's start off with Tackle!"
Milton looked up at his trainer with a smile. <Hi! Are we going to battle?> He was ready to battle! He turned tot he Pichu with a determined look on his face. <Prepare to fight!> Then he raced forward with his head down for a Tackle.

Hamilton smirked when the girl said she would battle him. "Great. My name's Hamilton." He did not have time for such pleasantries. Unfortunately, he was not quick to counteract the Tepig's attack. No matter; he was just going to have to strike back harder. "It's alright, Sptaz. Use Thunder Shock!" That would get them for sure.
Spatz watched excitedly as a Tepig was called out. That looked like a fun opponent. <Hello there!> He was too distracted to dodge the Tackle. He felt dizzy as he stood back up, but he shook it off. Fine, if that was the way he wanted it... He let out his best electrical shock.

Hamilton was an interesting name. Sawyer brushed it off as the battle started. The little Pichu was not bad. Her Tepig was better, though. "You're doing fine, Milton. Use Tail Whip and Tackle!" That combination should be quite effective.
Milton whimpered as e was hit by electricity. He did not like that at all! Once the attack stopped, he turned around and waved his tail at the Pichu. Then he spun back and tried for another Tackle. <Here I come!>

Hamilton gazed triumphantly at the two Pokemon as Spatz's move worked. They were so going to win. "Dodge!" Yes! His Pichu successfully escaped the tackle. "Now, let's give them some charm!" That would lower their opponent's attack power. That was always a good move. No one could resist his Pichu's charm!
Spatz happily jumped out of the way of the piggy. <Nice try!> he called out, grinning with delight at his success. He turned to the Tepig and gave him a charming smile. <Look how cute and charming I am!> he said, to add to the effect.

Sawyer was not dismayed by the missed Tackle. This battle was just getting started. She watched calmly as the Pichu used Charm. The previous Tail Whip would counteract that at least somewhat. This was no time to worry. "You're fine, Milton. Try another Tackle!" This one better hit.
Milton skidded to a halt and looked around frantically when he hit nothing. Then he spotted the Pichu. Wow, he did look really cute. He wanted to just stand there and admire him, but his trainer;s voice broke through. He had to fight. Right. He charged forward as he attempted a second Tackle. <I won't miss this time, no matter how charming you are!>

Hamilton smiled in satisfaction at the look on the Tepig's face from his Pichu's charm. It did not seem to have kept him from attacking, though. Oh, well. They were still going to win this! "Spatz, use Thunder Shock!" Yes, this was going to be great. Thunder Shock was Spatz's best move. No one could dodge it! How could you dodge electricity?
Spatz was too busy looking cute to realize he was being tackled. <Oof!> he let out as he was struck. He quickly sat up and shook off the dirt from his fall. Thunder shock! That was fun! He eagerly sent a jolt of electricity the Tepig's way. <I hope you don't get too shocked!> he innocently teased with a cute smile and giggle.

That Pichu was pretty cute, but he also seemed to be distracting himself. His trainer also appeared too confident. Sawyer knew she could win this as long as she kept working hard. "Good job, Milton. Tackle again!" That was all they could do at this point.
Milton smirked in triumph when the Pichu let out a noise. <Ha!> Cuteness was not going to win this battle. His eyes widened when he saw electricity coming towards him. He attempted to run away, but it was no use. He winced as the electricity coarse through his body. As soon as it was over, he tried to shake off the pain. Then he spun around and charged back toward his opponent.

"Yeah!" Hamilton exclaimed as his Pichu's Thunder Shock hit. They were so going to win this. They just needed to do that again a few more times. He neglected to tell Spatz to dodge, but that was fine. They were better! "Use Charm again and then Thunder Shock." Those two attacks combined would make them unbeatable!
Spatz jumped up and down in excitement when his Thunder Shock worked. <Yay!> His trainer was happy too. They both knew their strategy was going to work. <Ah!> he cried as he was tackled again. He jumped back to his feet, though, and stared charmingly at the Tepig, doing his best to look extremely cute and adorable. After a moment, he stopped and sent another Thunder Shock. Sawyer was really beginning to get annoyed by this Hamilton guy. Who did he think he was anyway? Te battle was obviously not over yet. They both still had two more Pokemon to go! She shook off the thoughts and focused on the present. She wished her Tepig knew stronger attacks, but she was going to have to work with what she had. "Hang in there, Hamilton. Use Tail Whip and Tackle!" That was the best she could do for now.
Hamilton was once again entranced by the Pichu. <Ooo... Can I touch you?> he said. he was way too distracted to notice the oncoming Thunder Sock. He grunted in surprise as he was struck by the electricity. <Hey! No way!> That was not a very nice trick. He shook it off and glared at the Pichu. <It's on now!> He spun around and flipped his tail at is opponent. Then he turned again and started running straight at him.

Hamilton was very happy with his success so far. This battle was a piece of cake. He figured they only needed to do a few more attacks before the piggy was good and defeated. "Don't pay attention to that tail. Dodge him!" he said when he saw Milton use Tail Whip. Unfortunately, Spatz was too distracted to hear him. Oh, well. No worries. "Use Thunder Shock, quick!" If they did it quick enough, they couldn't lose!
The Pichu giggled at the Tepig. It was on now? Why? Because he was so adorable? <Don't blame me for my cuteness,> he said with a smile. Ooo... he thought as Milton moved his tail. <Oof!> he said when he was tackled. Immediately after his trainer spoke, he jumped to his feet and sent another Thunder Shock at his opponent.

Sawyer's opponent seemed a bit overconfident to her. If he thought this was already over, than he was off is rocker. She would use this against him. "You're good, Milton. Just use Tackle!" She wished he knew some fire moves. For now, they were going to have to stick with this one damaging attack.
Milton growled at the Pichu. <No!> he retorted. <You're not even that cute.> It was a lie, but he was not about to let him know it. He had to win this! He tried to focus as the battle continued. He did not see much way to dodge electricity, so he stood his ground. He held on as the Thunder Shock hit him, and he prepared himself for his next move. As soon as he was free, he charged forward to Tackle the annoying mouse.

Hamilton should have been concerned when his Pichu just stood there and took the Tackle, but he simply shrugged his shoulders. He was fine. He was tough! Standing there and taking it just proved that. "Let's go with Tail Whip now!" he called out to Spatz. He liked Charm better, but they had to switch it up a bit now and then. Getting them off their guard was one of the keys to success.
Spatz frowned at what the Tepig said. Not even that cute!? He crossed his arms and glared at him. <You don't know what cute is then!> he yelled at him. <Ah!> he cried as he got hit. It was getting harder to jump to his feet, but he did it. Shaking himself to get the dirt off, he turned around and wagged his tail at Milton. <Look at my cute tail!> he teased.
