The flying pokemon cried out in pain as the tackle landed sending her crashing into the ground with a loud thud. The fletchling attempted to stand only to collapse, falling unconscious. Hamilton cried out as he returned Miss to her pokeball, " NO WHY DID I LOSE!" screamed the trainer as he stomped about in anger. He tsked as he glared at his foe throwing him some money and stormed off to do some training. Sawyer earned 70 points for Team Unova

The Chatot witnessed the end of the battle and stopped recording. That would have to do. She hoped her trainer would be pleased. She took off at a quick pace to reach him before the girl disappeared. Luckily, he was nearby.  Gender: Female Level: 50 |

Sawyer smirked in satisfaction. That guy's reaction was priceless. He really was lame. "You need to train more," she said. She turned to her Skiddo. "Great work, Prancer. Take a rest." She returned him to this Pokeball and tucked him away. Then she looked around the festival to see if there was anything else interesting to do. |

A man stepped in front of Sawyer, blocking her path. "Hello," he said in a cool voice. "You wouldn't happen to be a Pokemon trainer, would you? How about a battle with your strongest Pokemon?" He smiled broadly, showing his white teeth. If his Chatot was correct, this girl would not be able to refuse. "My name's Cole, by the way." |

Sawyer stopped in surprise when she found some blocking her way. She immediately wanted to tell him off, but his words intrigued her. A battle with her strongest Pokemon? That sounded like something she could not pass up! "Sure," she said confidently. She knew exactly which Pokemon to choose. "Let's do this, Kopa!" Her Litleo appeared with a growl. Cole smirked at the girl's response. "Excellent." Now he would see if this trainer could be a good recruit. Her Litleo certainly looked tough. He knew that a Litleo's true power came out when faced against a tough opponent, so he would not be holding back. "Panpour, you're up." He tossed a Pokeball in the air, and a water monkey appeared. Cole nodded at the girl. "You may have the first move." Ladies first, right? Sawyer nodded. She could see that he purposefully chose a water Pokemon because it would be strong against her fire type. Well, there was more about winning battles than type advantage. She would show him! "Kopa, start off with Fire Spin!" This attack would not do too much damage at first, but it would chip a little bit away at a time, which helped.
Kopa puffed out his chest as he stared down the Panpour. His mane grew strong with his fire power since he was battling a formidable opponent. He had to win this. He took in a sharp breath and let it out in a spin of fire, which circled the water type and trapped him for several turns. Cole watched the girl carefully. Even if she did not win this battle, she was still a possible recruit. He wanted to evaluate her strategy and strength. Her opening move was not bad, but it would not be good enough. "Panpour, Water Gun!"
Panpour stood his ground against the fire that spun around him. The attack did not hurt too bad, but he knew not to underestimate that Litleo. His trainer never challenged weak opponents. He took a deep breath and then blasted out a stream of water at the lion. Sawyer was prepared for a water attack. It would be tough to beat this Pokemon, but she was counting on her Litleo's speed to get them through this. "Dodge and use Headbutt!" She held her breath as she waited to see if he could follow through with the plan.
Kopa growled at the water monkey. There was no way he would let this guy take him down. As soon as the water left his mouth, the fire type darted to the right and started running in the direction of the Panpour. When he got near him, he veered to the left, his head lowered to strike. Cole had to admit that this girl and her Litleo had guts. Too bad that would not be enough to beat them. "Jump and use Fury Swipes." That would do it for now. He would use a water attack later on.
Panpour jumped up and down with excitement. He was going to show that lion now! When the Litleo got close, he leapt high into the air. He did a flip, and as he was coming down, he extended his claws and swiped several times a the Litleo. Then he landed on his feet. Sawyer loved the adrenaline she got when she was in the heat of battle. her mind quickly worked out a solution to her present problem. It would be hard for her Litleo to dodge, but he could dish out some damage as well. "Quick, Ember!"
Kopa glared at his opponent. He wanted to beat that monkey very badly. He knew he had to keep a cool head if he wanted to win, so he listened to his trainer. The Panpour came down on him too quickly for him to dodge. After he was slashed twice, he managed to get out a series of fire balls. "Is that all you've got?" Cole taunted. Truthfully, he was already impressed with her. She thought quickly and used moves to get out of situations even if they won't do all that much damage. There was more to winning battles than pure power. "Now Water Gun!"
Panpour covered his face when he felt fire strike him. He was resistant to these type of attacks, but that did not mean he enjyoed the heat. He glared at the Litleo. Now he would get it. He took in a deep breath and let it out in a pwoerful Water Gun attack. Sawyer did not think quick enough to issue an attack in time. She clenched her teeth when she saw her fire type covered in water. This was not good at all! She had to make sure that did not happen again. "Kopa, Noble Roar and Headbutt!"
The Litleo flew back by the force of the attack. He was slow in getting up. he growled as he shook the water from his fur. Then he let out a loud roar. That should do it! He scampered forward, lowering his head at the last second to strike the Panpour where it hurt. Cole was impressed with the Litleo's fighting spirit. He thought he would win for sure with his water type, but now he was not so sure. There was one thing he did no; he wanted to recruit this trainer. All that was left was to finish the battle. "Lick!"
Panpour shivered as he heard the lion's roar. What was that supposed to do? He could almost feel himself weakening. He tried to jump out of the way of the Litleo's Headbutt, but he was not quick enough. Just as he felt the pressure leave, he turned and swiped his tongue at his opponent. Sawyer did not realize that the monkey knew Lick. She hoped her Litleo was not paralyzed. He seemed fine for now, so she would resume attack. "Use Work Up followed by Fire Spin!" The fire type moved had proved useful before, and she was sure it would serve her now.
Kopa was unable to get out of the way of the Lick attack. He shivered as the wet tongue swiped his cheek. Gross! He rubbed his cheek with his paw and glared at the water type. He had had enough of this! He marched in place to work himself up. Then he released a swirling spin of fire that would circle his opponent.
