Kiki had entered the Battle Area many times in the past, but it was usually for the end of the semester tournament. She was looking forward to have a real three on three battle with one of her typical opponents, Gary Oak . The two of them had agreed to meet here so that they could train their Pokemon without the pressure of winning a tournament. While she waited for her friend, she thought about which Pokemon she would use first. She was thinking of starting off weak and building from there. |

Gary strolled into the Battle Area with Mr. Winston on his heels. He immediately found Kiki and headed in her direction. "Good morning," he said, smiling broadly. "Ready to do this?" He took a battle stance opposite of her. It was going to be fun to battle three on three against her. One on one battles were fine, but more skill was shone in something like this. "You may choose your Pokemon first." |

Kiki smiled when Gary entered the battle area. "Good morning. Thanks." He was such a gentleman. She thought for a second. This battle was about training, so she decided to go with her weakest Pokemon. "Angelo, you're up!" The baby Cleffa appeared before her. Gary smiled when he saw the cute little Pokemon. He could tell the Cleffa was a low level, so he would choose a similar Pokemon. "Todd, you're first!" He released his baby Crogunk, who stared across the field at the Cleffa. This would be an interesting match and great training for both of them. Gary nodded at Kiki. "Go ahead." Kiki smiled and nodded at Gary. He was a good friend. Right now, though, he was her opponent. "Angel, use Pound!" It was not like she had much of a choice. Her Cleffa only knew two moves, and only one of them did any damage. This was why she needed practice.
Cleffa smiled shyly at her opponent. She had never been in a battle before, and she was not quite sure what was expected of her. She was only a baby! She supposed she would just have to follow her trainer's orders the best she could.She lumbered forward as quickly as her little feet would carry her. Gary knew this first round would take awhile, but it would be worth it. This was a great chance to exercise patience. "Todd, use Astonish!" He bet both Pokemon only knew one or two moves.
TOdd stared at the Cleffa coming his way. The pink Pokemon did not seem too dangerous. He grunted as she struck him. That pest! He moved forward quickly, using Atonish. Level: 1 Attacks: Astonish Abilities: Anticipation, Dry Skin, Poison Touch Hit By: Pound Used: Astonish Health: Green |

Kiki wondered what would happen now. Her Cleffa only knew two moves. Perhaps it was best to combine them. She doubted Gary had a better plan. "Angel, Pound and then Charm!"
Angel watched the Crogunk nervously. She flinched once he attacked. She did not like that at all! Angrily, she flung herself at him to Pound him with her fist. Then she jumped back and winked at him, suddenly becoming cute. Gary had to admit the Cleffa was quite cute. He hoped she would not distract his own Pokemon. "Astonish!" He really had no other choice.

Kiki smirked at the Crogunk's reaction. Her Cleffa was very cute. If not for the battle, the two of them could become fiends. "Good job. Now use Pound!"
Angel giggled. Her opponent was not very handsome, but it was still nice to see that he thought she was attractive. She soon shook off the thoughts and focused on the battle. After enduring an attack, she raised her arm to use her own. Gary took a deep breath and let it out slowly. This was going to take awhile, which was fine. Babies grew and learned one step at a time. "Astonish," he said calmly.
Todd grunted as he was struck and fell to the ground. Maybe that little one was not as cute as he had thought. But what did he know at his age? Kiki guessed that the Pokemon were at the halfway point. Everything was going well so far. "Charm and Pound!" The combo had worked last time, after all.
Angel shivered as Astonish affected her. She really wished he would stop doing that. She shook off the creepy feeling and made herself look cute. Then she ran forward for another Pound attack. Gary calmly watched the progression of the battle. He did not know how to mix things up, so he would just continue with his current strategy. "Todd, Astonish!"
Todd did not fall for the Cleffa this time. She was cute, but he knew her tricks. He held his arms in front of him to block her attack, but he was still harmed by the move. Kiki decided to let the battle going on with both Pokemon getting in as much damage as possible. It would end quicker that way. "Astonish!"

Kiki breathed slowly as she watched the battle continue. This was all going to be over soon. "alright, use Astonish!" She knew her Cleffa could do it.
Cleffa hopped from foot to foot and giggled. This battling thing was fun. Her smile faded when she was struck by the Crogunk's attack. She wondered how long it would take to finish him off.
