Kiki was glad the Thunder Wave had worked effectively. This would buy them time and maybe give them an edge in order to win the battle. "Good job, Crunch. Now use Leer and Shock Wave!" She doubted this would be enough to take down the Deerling, but it would certainly help.
Crunch was feeling confident right now. That silly Deerling could not move and hurt him! He wanted the battle to be over soon, so he decided to work hard to win. Then he would be able to get some rest! He leered at his opponente. Then he used his charged up electricity to send forth a marvelous Shock Wave attack.

Gary felt tense as the battle progressed. This was all coming down to the wire. Spirit would not be able to take very many more attacks like that. "Try to move!" he called. If he could not, then he would be doomed. "As soon as you are able, use Sand Attack and Double Kick!" The Deerling just needed to be able to move long enough to get in a couple of more good attacks.
Spirit shuddered as another electrical shock surged through his body. He tried hard to move, and he was relieved when he managed to break free from the paralysis this time. He immediately rushed forward and whipped up sand to throw in his opponent's face. Then he turned and used Double Kick.

Kiki was disappointed that the Thunder wave did not work this time. Hopefully, the paralysis would kick back in soon. Gary certainly had a good strategy. Crunch would not be able to take anymore damage after this. "Shock wave, once more! Then get rid of the sand." She hoped this would be enough.
Crunch's eyes widened when the Deerling came towards him again. How was he moving? The sand caught him off guard. <Hey!> He was thrown back by the Double Kick. As he stood back up, he found that it was hard to see. Luckily, he only needed to aim in the general direction for Shock Wave to be effective. Here goes nothing... After the attack, he shook his head to try to rid his face of the sand and dirt.

Gary's plan worked like expected. Now, if his Deerling could only move, they could finally finish this battle. "Hang in there, Spirit. You've got this. Use Double Kick once more!" This last move would likely decide the battle, and he waited with baited breath.
Spirit endured another Shock Wave, though this one was weaker than the others. He stood there panting as he tried to catch his breath. He wanted to win this for his trainer. While the Blitzle shook his head in an attempt to get rid of the sand, the Deerling made his move. He leapt forward until he was right in front of his opponent. Then he spun around as quickly as possible and gave out his best Double Kick.

Crunch forget to check for his opponent while he was shaking the sand off, so he was hit directly by Double Kick. He fell to the ground again, and this time he did not get up. He had fainted.
"Crunch!" Kiki exclaimed. She rushed over to him to make sure he was fine. She smiled slightly as she stroked back his fur. "You were great. Take a rest now." After returning him to his Pokeball, she stood up and nodded at Gary. "It looks like you won. Congratulations. That was a great battle." At least she had given it her best, and it had been great training for her Pokemon.

Mr. Winston raised his arms and said, "Bliztle is unable to battle. Deerling is the winner, and the victory goes to Gary!"
Deerling has gained four levels. He now knows Leech Seed and Feint Attack.
Blitzle has gained one level. He now knows Flame Charge.
Gary has earned 70 points for Team Kanto! |

Spirit nearly collapsed himself after finishing his attack. He half expected to be attacked back, so he was surprised when the Blitzle did not get back up. He had won? He wanted to run around in excitement, but he did not have the energy for it. He settling for walking over to his trainer and smiling at him.
Gary grinned as he watched the battle come to an end. "Great job, Spirit! You were awesome." He rubbed the back of the Deerling's neck before taking out his Pokeball. "You deserve a long rest." He looked at Kiki, nodding when she spoke. "Thanks. You fought well. I guess I'll be seeing you around." With that, he left the Battle Area. |

"Thanks," said Kiki. "I guess so." She did not eel too bad about the loss. She had done her best and learned a lot. Plus, there was no harm in losing to a friend. She would practice more and then challenge him to a rematch. With this in mind, she left the Battle Area After him. OOC: Finished |
