School Assembly: The Beginning of the Semester [EVERYONE]
|
Post by Gary Oak on Feb 17, 2014 22:30:33 GMT -5
Gary casually entered the gym with his hands in his pockets. He noted that there were already many students there. He recognized a couple of them, but he did not feel like going over to them. The assembly would start soon, and he did not want to get into a conversation that had to be interrupted. Of course, he would entertain anyone who came up to him. He just did not want to be the initiator in this situation. He traveled up the bleachers until he reached the top. He had a nice view of everything from up there. He sat down and swept his gaze across the gym, taking in everything.

"Where is he?" Angelica mumbled to herself as she frantically looked around the school. She had been studying while her little Plusle was playing near by. She hadn't really taken her eyes off of him for that long, maybe five minutes at the most while she read her book. Yet when she looked up to check on him he was gone. Now as she searched she felt a lump in her throat. Running around she ran right into a boy and his fire pokemon getting ready to battle a steel pokemon. Seeing that she stopped and froze at the sight of the fire pokemon. "S...sor...sorry." She said as she then slowly moved away, before she started to run. Everyone was meeting in the gym and she wondered if he had wondered in there. Oh gosh she hoped he wasn't getting into any trouble. Going inside she was shoved around, and pushed to the blenches. She went to ask a teacher if they had seen her pokemon, but was told she would just have to look after the assembly was over and to take a seat. So she nervously took a seat in the first row. "Peanut? You here?" She then called out as she looked under the bleachers, but was then told to sit down by the teacher she had asked before. So she sat. Sighing she sat there nervously as she worried about her pokemon. Little did she know that her Plusle was on the stage, that was until she saw him run across the stage with a jar of peanut butter stuck to his head, and his little legs wobbling as he basically ran into Mr. Turner. "Oh Peanut." She cried into her hands as she shook her head. Hopefully she wouldn't be in too much trouble over that.

Art was in a rather happy mood and as she entered the gym, she knew that her own pokemon was safe in his pokeball. She had brought it with her of course, but she didn't plan on allowing him out while everyone was packed into the gym. After all there was a lot that could have gone wrong. Making her was though the crowd she sat down, and placed her backpack down in front of her, and between her legs. "Hey Brock. I hope you don't mind I sit here." She then said as she looked at the boy next to her. She blushed softly for a moment, before she unwrapped her scarf that was around her neck, and took off her black and pink striped beanie from her head. Unzipping her backpack she stuffed them in, and then closed it back up. Sitting there she waited for everything to start. As she looked around she saw something on the stage and raised a brow. "Is that a Plusle or a walking jar?" She then asked as she turned and looked at Brock again before looking back at the stage.

Walter J. Satinwood { the prince of cool }Insulting Walter was one thing, but insulting his pokemon was another thing. Mr. Satinwood as very annoyed at the other boy as he heard what the kid had to say. "I wouldn't call you a real trainer, heck I am not even sure you are a real boy." Walter snickered. Oh, but things turned from a verbal spat and simply got real, real quick. For this is one thing Walter had learned about Kitten, and that was she hated baby talk. Lifting his pokemon up away from Micah he made sure that the Vulpix didn't have Dawn between her and the kid with glasses, and as Micah started to talk to her in a baby talk ish manner the fire fox growled. Facing Micah she opened up her mouth and sent and ember flying his way. If he was smart the kid would simply duck for the ember was slightly angled upwards and wouldn't hit anyone behind or around the other boy, but it just might hit him. After all he was who Walter's Vulpix was aiming for.
"And on that note little boy shut it." The brown haired teen said with a smirk on his face before he sat down and turned to look at Dawn. "He is doing great. Thanks for asking." Walter said replying to her question from earlier. As he sat there talking with the Sinnoh girl, Kitten curled up in his lap. He could feel her heart racing, but kept a hand on her back to keep her from attacking Micah again. However, she was still watching the kid and growling at him like a mad cat. Hopefully none of the teachers saw that. So far it seemed like everyone had been side tracked watching some pokemon on stage with a jar on it's head. "What that?" The words slipped from Walter's mouth as he looked past Dawn and at the stage.

Rameses looked a little bit puzzled. It was odd, but at the same time kind of funny. He smiled as he pulled Rae up by the arm. The fall couldn't have been to serious. Every encounter he had with Rae, the guy had a cool disposition. He was cool without trying.
"You cool?"
Rameses rubbed the hair on the back of his head. His orange cap hid most of his brown, shaggy mane, but what did show, did so wildly. For a moment he forgot why he was even there, but then he remembered the assembly. A frown replaced the smile and he moved to prop his back against the closest wall. Assemblies were absolutely boring. He was not one to give trouble, but he felt like this was something that he could miss.
"I'm not trying to go to the assembly. It may very well be a waste of time, and if not, I'm sure that information here will be information that is repeated when classes begin."

Green eyes flickered over to Dawn when she started replying and then just cut herself off. That was a little rude, wasn't it? He was starting to think this chick so wasn't worth his time. However, he did take note of her question about the Aron. Rockstar was a stupid name, but it was nice to know what he might be going up against in the future. Especially if things continued on the route they were going.
He snickered with the other boy responded to him, rolling his eyes for Dawn as if to say 'is that the best he's got?' After all, the two seemed to be on friendly terms, which was sad for her. She should really learn to pick friends that weren't as totally lame as the other boy. "Boy? Nah. Man's more like it," he replied, keeping the smug smirk on his face.
Micah certainly hadn't been expecting the reaction from the Vulpix. The attack was totally unwarranted since he was just speaking the truth. Pokemon didn't get all buddy-buddy with another random person unless they were looking to defect and get another trainer. Of course, he already had a Vulpix himself, but he could have found the other boy's Vulpix a nice home if she wanted.
Micah simultaneously raised his arm over his face and ducked to avoid the attack. His shirt got a little singed, but it was nothing too bad. It certainly wasn't enough to get him to shut up. "Feisty. I've always liked that. But it looks like she's too much for you to handle. Ya know, real trainers don't let their Pokemon attack without a direct command," he stated. Of course, the other day had seen his Trapinch using a move of its own, but that had been a learning experience, not overt disobedience. "Oh, and if you think I'll listen to you, you're dreaming, kid."
The other boy's exclamation had Micah looking forward in time to see the Plusle come close to running into Mr. Turner with the peanut butter jar on his head. He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed because he knew that Plusle. He supposed he couldn't judge Dawn on her friend choice considering that the Plusle's owner was on his team. He'd just have to make sure to keep his distance from Angelica whenever they were in public. She seemed weird anyway. Who didn't like fire Pokemon?

"Yeah... I'm cool, thanks..." replied the chain-smokin' Pokemon trainer, brushing himself off. He gave himself a once over, noting the assortment of thorn holes in his sweatshirt, jeans and skin. He sighed and shook it off, knowing he had seen worse.
Rae peered back into the hole he had created in the once-perfect rose bush, looking to see if he had dropped anything inside the thorny torture chamber. Satisfied he hadn't, he gave himself a quick pat down just to be sure and his mind went over the usual mental checklist. Smokes, check, lighter, got it, three pokeballs hanging near my right hip, yu-- "...Huh?! Where's the third one!?" He said under his breath, his eyes quickly darting back toward the bush.
Luckily he was able to spot the downed pokeball this time around and he reached into the bush to retrieve it. The pointed tips of the thorns drug along his flesh and left long scratches down the length of his arm, as he pulled the red and white sphere to freedom. Looking it over, he gave a subtle nod of recognition before returning it to his belt. Little blue dude, he thought, noting which of his Pokemon he had almost lost. He then pulled the bottom of his hoodie over the balls like usual, to keep them hidden from view.
Rae turned back to the kid with the orange hat, listening as the boy voiced his disinterest in the assembly. "Assembly? What assembly?" responded the smoker, knowing he hadn't heard of any such thing. Then, as he thought of their current location outside the Grass Building and remembered the sound of the crowd he had heard upon the Gymnasium door's opening; Rae put the pieces together. S@#t! There really was an assembly taking place... so then, why was that creature leaving?
Somewhat sharing this Randy boy's sentiments, Rae shook the thought of attending away and returned his focus to the task at hand. "Hey, did you see which way that weird lookin' metalish-rocky-boney kinda creature went?" He asked, looking first to the kid and then beyond him in search of the beast. Not waiting for the kid's reply, Rae decided it was time to deputize the boy and pursue the stubby-legged thing before the trail went cold.
"C'mon, help me find it..."

Rameses was puzzled. He had never seen a Pokemon with such a description before. First, his mind went to Cubone and Marowak, but they weren't metal looking. was it a rock/steel type? He didn't know much about those as he was really only familiar with the species that were native to Kanto. It was why he joined Team Kanto in the first place. Still, not wanting to attecnd the assembly took priority over any other trivial matter at hand. He looked beyond Rae to see if he could spot anything, but he was without much luck.
"Nope, don't see anything."
"I've got time to kill, so let's go find the thing." Rae stood up from his previously propped position and began to look for any clues that could guide them to what they were looking for.
"Perhaps it cut behind the gym. Let's look that way first."

Yet another shoulder tap distracted Dawn. She looked to the opposite side of the tap, having grown up with Kenny and knowing better than to look on the original side. A slight grin formed on her face as Greed walked by. Oh yeah… she almost forgot about the, hm, he called it a gang, but she had yet to see it in proper action, the group she’d more or less joined. He seemed cool and the glamour of joining a dangerous, potentially powerful group had been a bit too much temptation to resist.
That aside… Oh man, shots fired between Micah and Walter. Dawn looked between the two, eyes dancing back and forth like a ping pong ball as she absorbed the scene. Dawn yelped in surprise, leaning back despite the fact that the ember hadn’t been aimed at her. ”Walter, what in the world?!” Rather interacting with Walter again, Dawn got up. Yeah, okay, boy fights were fun to watch, but she made a mental note to never actually be physically between them ever again. Way, way too close for comfort. Walter was cool, Micah wasn't as nerdy as she assumed he was, but if they were like this when they were together, she was going to make a point to avoid them when they were around each other.
”You seem like you’ve got him covered, so good luck,” she said as civilly as possible to Micah. With that, she excused herself. She scouted out a place to sit. Hm, she could sit with Greed, but he seemed like he was a little busy. There were a few other strangers here, might be a good time to make some friends… Except, she wasn’t about to go to the bottom rows, nor was she about to go to the top.
After a moment, Dawn spotted a particularly beautiful girl. Good sense of fashion, nice hair, didn’t seem to have anyone else around her. Okay, then, Dawn was going to try to make a new friend. Moving through the crowd and putting the small fire fight behind her, Dawn grinned as she approached Jen. ”Hi, you look a little lonely. Mind if I sit with you?”
She glanced down to the stage just in time to see the plusle run across the stage. She cracked up laughing, not so loud as to be obnoxious, but plenty loud to make it clear she thought the plulse was a bit of a failure. Her slight phobia of the electric type was showing through in aggression, it seemed. ”Wow,” she muttered once her chuckles diminished. She absolutely despised plusle and minun; it was nice to see one of their kind getting embarrassed, as a sort of revenge for what happened to her when she was young.

Sawyer really did not want to attend this assembly. She had Pokemon to catch and train! Couldn't the principal just send them all an email? Sighing, she stepped into the gym with Kopa, the Litleo. Kopa appeared just as bored as his trainer. Sawyer hoped this would be over soon. She did not want to travel far up into the bleachers, so she chose a row towards the bottom. Her Litleo trotted by her side as she walked in the direction of Brock and Art. He hopped up onto the spot next to art and sat down. "Hello," Sawyer said, giving the other two students a nod as she sat by her Pokemon. She looked forward, not really feeling like starting up a conversation. She blinked when she saw a moving jar on the stage. What the-?

"Yeah, good thinkin' kid..." replied Rae, preparing to take the boy's advice and head off around the Gymnasium building. However, just as he was taking his first step, some girl came running out from behind a building to his left. Rae's eyebrow immediately ascended as he studied her in passing. Her hair was of an aqua-marine hue and her expression suggested she had just seen something mildly concerning. Rae was currently playing gumshoe and he needed no other obvious clue to make his decision.
"This way kid," he said to Randy, waving his hand in the motion that the girl had just come from. Rae peeked back, noting that the female was heading into the gym via the outside door that the creature had emerged from earlier. It appeared she was just another student... so then what had caused her to run like that? Rae wasn't sure, but if he had to guess, he'd put his money down on it having something to do with the creature he had seen earlier. Perhaps whatever devious intentions it had were finally being acted out.
Rae plucked the broken cigarette from his lips and flicked it aside. He then traversed the lawn and arrived shoulder-first into the exterior wall of the building. Slowly creeping toward the edge, he took a deep breath before peeking around the corner. As he did, he saw nothing and his heart thumped heavily in his chest. Get it together man... he reminded himself, before swallowing and continuing around the corner.
Staying close to the wall, Rae became more and more immersed in his role play. He hunched slightly as he moved along and his sneaky-like stepping was pretty awkward looking, though, actually pretty silent. When he finally made it to the next corner of the building, he paused and looked back to see if his deputy had come with him. He wasn't sure what he would see around this next corner, but with a little back up, he felt more confident about being able to handle whatever he discovered.
His imagination was already going wild. Perhaps that strange creature was some sort of terrible beast, who roamed the academy grounds and ate unsuspecting students! Maybe he was eating one right now! Crap! Rae though, knowing there was no more time to waste. Whether the kid had followed him or not, the pierced Pokemon trainer decided it was go-time and he suddenly... peeked... reeeeeeeaaaaalllly... slowly, around the corner of the building.
The dulled, blue eyes of the chain-smoker fell immediately upon the familiar sight of the creature he had been planning to follow earlier. Aha! Caught you before you could eat another student! he exclaimed within his head. Rae was about to step out and continue his pursuit of the beast, but he suddenly spotted someone else, and they were running straight toward the creature!
Huh?! Wait d@#mnit! Don't you know this creature is a terrible, student-devouring monster?!? he thought, wanting to desperately shout out an actual warning to the kid in the red, black and white. It was all happening so fast, right before Rae's eyes and he wasn't sure what to do. What was more, he suddenly spotted a small creature running beside the boy... almost as though, they were charging the student-eater!
Rae had no idea what to make of the scene, so he decided to stay put and observe for the time being. If a battle was about to ensue between a horrible monster and the vengeful-brother of some unfortunate female student the beast had eaten prior; then Rae wanted a little cover and protection, between himself, and them...

Micah snorted when the other boy's Vulpix caused the girl next to him yell at the other boy and move. It was sort of a shame since he had sat down next to her in hopes of gaining a new friend, but he was over that idea. Girls probably weren't the best bet for him to get a friend in this school. They were all either total dorks like Angelica seemed to be or prissy little things like the vibe he'd gotten off Dawn in the few minutes they sat next to each other. He couldn't roll like that. He needed to be around people that were much more chill.
"Aw, I woulda protected you from the big, bad Vulpix," he joked as she yelled at the boy. Walter, did she say? He should probably remember that, but he most likely wouldn't. The other boy wasn't worth the energy to learn anything about beyond what could be useful in battle. He probably shouldn't have insulted the Pokemon that had just tried to attack him, but that was possibly how it could be taken. He wasn't afraid of the Vulpix, though. What's the worst it could do?
"Dude, maybe if you could control your Pokemon, your friend wouldn't have up and left," he told this Walter boy. "Just a bit of friendly advice." Or not so friendly, depending on how it was taken. It was intended to be an insult, but he had the feeling the other trainer wasn't the brightest crayon in the box. It would be sad and annoying, but he may have to make his insults more obvious.
Regardless, he was over this entire interaction. He shuffled around a bit to get back to his original position that was a comfortable, confident slouch that took up the row in front of and behind him. Surely, there would be enough room for him to take up all the room. He sighed again, waiting for this thing to start. Why did he have to be here again?
And, more importantly, was it crowded enough that the teachers wouldn't notice if he shut his eyes and tried to take a nap?

Turner hoped Spike would be able to find Sash. It really was getting late. Students were quickly filing in, and she was supposed to be here well before any of them came! He held in a sigh as he stood there, watching as more and more students came. When something hit his leg, he glanced down to see a Pokemon...with a peanut butter jar stuck to his head. It looked like a Plusle. Turner frowned down at it. "What are you?" he asked it in a very unfriendly voice. Why in the world was a student's Pokemon running around, especially where their Pokemon should not be? Without caring as to what the Plusle's reaction might be, he looked up and scanned the crowd, but he could not detect who the trainer was. Since everyone was talking and it was getting quite loud, he walked up to the microphone and spoke into it. "Whoever belongs to this Plusle, come here now," he said sternly. He glowered at the students in general as he waited for the student to reveal him or herself. Troublemakers irked him, and this student was probably along the lines of those kind. Or at least his or her Pokemon was.
Spike wished he could walk faster; it was taking forever to get to the classroom buildings! Good thing the campus really wasn't that large. The Lairon stopped when he saw a student approach him. From his words and the fact that he had released his Cyndaquil from his Pokeball, he could see he wanted to battle. He loved to battle! It was so much fun! <I'll battle you!> he said excitedly. He hadn't had a chance to do some real battling in a while because his trainer was always super busy. His favorite opponent was Maya. She was loads of fun!

"Sure--well, I'm actually looking for someone. Do you know a guy named Rae? Jen was happy someone had approached her. She was considering blowing Rae off altogether and just making a new friend. She smiled politely at the stranger but continued to scan the crowd for her friend. She was going to give it a little longer. If Rae didn't show up by then she would just sit with this girl instead. Jen was here to make new friends after all so why not. She looked at the girl when she started laughing and Jen wondered why. She looked in the same direction and spotted a pokemon with a jar on its head. Jen rolled her eyes and went back to her search. "Where is he?"

Kiki was surprised at how many people were already at the assembly by the time she entered the gym. Her new shiny Eevee, Ella, was clinging to her head. Kiki glanced at the stage and noticed that Principal Sash was not there. She wondered why she was running late but then figured it was for something important. She looked around at the stands to try to figure out where to sit. There were a crowd of students in the middle, so she decided to head there. She walked through the bleachers, stopping a little bit before she reached any other students, and she sat down. Ella smiled as she looked around at the other people. Stilling holding onto her trainer's head, she wondered if they would meet any new friends at this event. One could always hope.
