The look on Nate's face must have been one of thinking the person he was talking to was crazy. Out of politeness, he quickly shook it off. He was not one to quickly judge people, but... this certainly was unusual. He supposed everyone had to get their thrills somewhere. "That's great, Gary," he said with a nervous smile. His friend obviously thought he was cool for having done this, so who was he to burst his bubble? "I suppose adventures like that could be fun, though I would never do it myself." He prefered much more peaceful, safe adventures, but maybe that was just him.
Watcher's eyes widened. They had watched a tornado together? <That must have been scary!> He could not imagine him and Nate doing anything like that. They must be pretty brave.

Gary nodded vigorously. "Thanks. It was quite fun. I have pictures of the tornado I can show you later if you're interested." He had gotten some great shots from being so close. He had to remember to put the photos on the bulletin board in the Kanto Hall lounge. He wanted his teammates to feel proud! Who did not love tornados? He let his mind drift off the subject as he listened to the music. "This band's not bad." It made him want to get out on the floor and dance! He looked around to see if there were any girls he could ask. His eyes landed on a young girl with red hair.
<Oh, yes, it was,> Tornado said. He tried to make himself look big and brave.

Faith chuckled at Sawyer's hesitation. "Dory about it. Many guys are shy, so we should go ask them." She looked across the room at them again, and this time she caught the eye of the guy hidden by his Goomy costume. She wished she could tell if he was cute, though that would not stop her from having some fun. She gave him a coy yet inviting smile before turning back to her friend. "Just one dance, and if you don't like it, I'll leave you alone. What do you say?" She waited patiently for her to decide, hoping she would make the right choice.
<Awesome,> said Willy. He sniffed the air as a good smell filled his nose. <I'm hungry. Do you think we could get a snack?>

Sawyer frowned as she considered the proposition. She knew Faith was quite persistent, so maybe she should agree just to get her off her back. Maybe it would be fun after all. If not, she did say she would leave her alone. Begrudgingly, she found herself agreeing. She let out a heavy sigh before saying, "Fine. Let's go. Let's be quick and get this over with." She looked over at the two guys warily. She hoped she would not regret this. The last thing she wanted to do was to make a fool of herself.
Kopa looked up at their trainers. After listening to them for a moment, he glanced back at Willy. <I think they're going to go dance, so we should be able to go eat.> He was feeling pretty hungry himself.

"Uh, sure," Nate said with a nervous smile. He might as well humor him. If his friend thought he had had a grand adventure, he was not going to tell him any differently. Besides, the photos probably were pretty cool. Tornadoes were fun to look at from a safe distance! He tuned into the music when Gary mentioned it. He found he liked it. "Yeah, it is nice." He wondered if they should get out and dance. He noticed the other guy look around at the other people in the room.
<You have a cool story to tell now, though,> said Watcher. He sat down and swished his tail. He was enjoying this so far.

Faith grinned at her friend. She was glad she decided to go along with her little idea. She may have been bold, but she did not want to do this alone. "Great! Come on!" Suddenly remembering their Pokemon, she looked down at them to address them. "We're going to go dance. Why don't you two see if there is any Pokemon food near the table?" Since Pokemon had been invited to the ball, she was sure there was stuff to occupy them. Satisfied, she took hold of Sawyer's arm and led her over to Gary and Nate. She stopped right in front of them and gave them a flirtatious smile. "Hello, boys."
It seemed like Kopa had it right. <Ok,> Willy said happily to Faith. Then he grinned at Kopa. <Let's go check it out!> He could not wait to get some good food.

Gary watched the girl with the red hair interact with her friend. Then he glanced down at their Pokemon whom they were dressed like. They had both done a pretty good job. The Pokemon themselves looks pretty strong. He pushed away thoughts of battle as he focused on the girls themselves. Perhaps they would like to dance. This was a ball, after all. He smiled broadly when they approached him and Nate. :Hello, ladies." It was too bad that his costume was covering his face so he could not show off his good looks. Would they even recognize him if they saw him again? Oh well. He would figure it out. "How are you doing on this fine evening?"
<I guess so,> Goomy said. He watched curiously when the girls arrived. <Hi!> They seemed pretty nice.

Sawyer held in a sigh as she followed Faith over to the boys. She was not sure why she was doing this. She loved hanging out with guys, but this was an entirely new situation with her. She was just going to have to trust her friend to take the lead and make sure everything turned out all right. She stopped beside Faith and looked over the boys. She was not sure what to think about the Goomy costume, but the Eevee one was pretty cute. "Hi. I'm fine. How are you?" She hoped this would be over with soon.
Kopa nodded at Faith before turning to Willy and smiling. <Excellent!> He turned and bounded towards the food table. His nose was already making his mouth water.

Nate smiled politely at the two girls. He wondered why they had decided to wander over here, but then he figured they were just being friendly. It was a social event, after all. "Good evening." He felt a bit awkward standing there next to Gary, who seemed to know exactly what to do in this situation. He decided to just be himself and act like he was around friends. "You two have great costumes." Yes, keep it cool. he could do this.
Watcher smiled at the two girls. <Hello there.> He always loved making new friends, even human friends.

Faith liked the guy in the Goomy costume. He seemed to know how to talk to girls. The guy dressed like an Eevee appeared nice, but he was obvious awkward about the situation. It was kind of cute, actually. Still, she found herself wanting to attract the former. "I'm doing good, thank you. It is a lovely day for a ball." She glanced at the dance floor where no one was dancing and then looked back at him with a smile, hoping he would get the hint. She glanced at his friend and smiled at him as well. "Thanks. Both of yours are quite cool as well." She did like them. They were definitely unique.
Willy followed Kopa over to the food. He stopped near the table and began to sniff. <Hmm... What looks good?>

Kiki and Cody walked around and enjoyed the music for awhile. The girl recognized several people she knew, but they were busy talking to others, so she did not want to disturb them. After awhile, she decided to do something else. "Why don't we go check out the food table?" she suggested to her Pokemon, turning in that direction. She could use a good snack.
Cody smiled and wagged his tail. <Ok!> He loved to eat. He bounded ahead of his trainer to lead the way to the food table. He skidded to a halt when he noticed a Bidoof and a Litleo standing there. <Hello!>

"I'm great," Gary said. he could tell that Nate and the blond haired girl were both nervous. Perhaps they could help each other out by dancing together. He, on the other hand, had his eyes on the red head that he had first seen. He noticed the way she looked out at the dance floor and back at him. It appeared that they were on the same page. "It is quite lovely. Would you like to dance?" He held out his hand to her, smiling at her tough she could barely see it through his costume. He would remember her name and seek her out in the future if they proved to get along.
His trainer was going to dance? Tornado wondered if he could go do something on his own. <Are you hungry?> he asked Watcher.

Sawyer gave Nate a small smile. "Thank you." She supposed this was not so bad. She then remembered that it was polite for people to introduce themselves when they meet. "I'm Sawyer, and this is Faith." She motioned to her friend. She watched as one of the guys asked Faith to glance. She looked back at the other guy. He seemed nervous like her. Perhaps it would be good for them to talk to each other. He was just a guy, after all.
Kopa sniffed the food as well. It all smelled good; he could not choose! He turned when he heard someone speak to them. <Oh, hello there. What's your name?>

Nate nodded at Faith. "Thank you." It was cool to have costumes at a Halloween ball. he had always loved this holiday. It made t even better that he had a Pokemon to dress up as this year. He was excited for the many adventures they would have together in the future. "I'm Nate, and this is Gary," he said after the girls introduced themselves. Then Gary asked Faith to dance, like he expected him to. He glanced at Sawyer, wondering what he was supposed to do now. He had never asked a girl to dance before, but would she b offended if he did not?
Watcher looked back at Tornado and nodded. <Yeah, I kind of am. Do you want to go get some food?>

Faith was glad that her companion introduced themselves for them. She recognized the boys from some of her classes, but she had never talked to them. This was her chance to break the ice. After the ball, she could get to know them better in class and perhaps outside of school as well. She smiled when the Goomy man asked her to dance. She had been hoping he would get the message. he seemed quite the gentleman. "I would love to dance," she said as she took his hand. She gave a quick look to Sawyer. She had better not mess up with Nate. This was her big chance!
Instead of getting a response, a Lillipup ran over to them. Willy gave him a small smile. <Hi. I'm Willy, and this is Kopa.>
