Once on the dance floor, Nate turned to Sawyer and began to dance with her. He could tell that she felt awkward. That was fine because he was as well! After a minute, he decided that talking to her might make both of them feel a little more comfortable. "So, which team are you on?" he asked with a small smile. He remembered her from some of his classes, but he did not know much about her. She seemed pretty cool with her awesome Litleo costume and everything.
Watcher smiled at the Pokemon already near the table. <Hi. I'm Watcher, and this is Tornado.>

Gary could tell that Faith had not been expecting anything fancy. Well, he was full of surprises, and he loved to impress! He took her hand and spun her around under his arm and then back again. Then he took both of their hands and spun both of them around. He hoped she was having as much fun as him. Spins were so awesome! He kept them up all throughout the song. When the song ended, he let go of her and stood still to gain a breather. "Well, what did you think?" He hoped she had liked his cool moves. He wondered if she would want to keep dancing.
Tornado stared up at the table of the food. <Can we have some too?> he asked the Bidoof hopefully.

Faith followed Gary in his turns and spins. It actually was kind of fun. She wondered where he had learned all of this. She was disappointed when the song came to an end. The dance was not over, yet, so perhaps they could continue onto the next song. "That was fun," she said enthusiastically. "You're pretty good." She then turned and noticed that Nate and Sawyer had been dancing. She smirked. "It looks like our friends are having fun as well."
Willy heard that other Pokemon had approached, but he did not turn to look at them. He gathered up a bowl of Pokemon food and brought it down to the others. <Here we are!>

Now that Sawyer was more relaxed, she could not help but think that she knew this guy from somewhere. "I'm from Unova," she said slowly. Maybe knowing his team would help jog her memory. Then again, she could be imagining things. Or maybe she simply recognized him from one of her classes. "Have we met before?" It did not hurt to ask him in case it jogged his memory. She supposed it did nto matter that much. If they had met, it must have been only once. She tried to focus on dancing and enjoying herself.
Kopa smiled and moved towards the food. <Thanks.> He paused as he looked around at the others. <Who wants to go first?>

Nate found that he did enjoy dancing. It gave him positive feelings. Plus, Sawyer was easy to talk to. "I'm from Sinnoh," he said. Unova, huh? Hadn't he met a girl from Unova before? When she asked if the two of them had ever met, everything clicked. He remembered an rainy afternoon many months ago when he and Watcher had sought shelter in the lounge. That was where he had met Sawyer and Kopa, who were also trying to escape the rain. "Remember that rainy afternoon when you first joined the school? We met in the lounge and had smoothies. I just remembered myself." He chuckled lightly. It sure was a small world. Or a small academy.
Watcher glanced at Kopa when he spoke. <You can go if you want.> He paused. <Or maybe Willy should since he got the food.> That only seemed fair to him.

The Litwick did not seem to be saying that it would not suck out their energy. Maybe if she reasoned with him... "If you take their energy, then they'll lose it a lot faster than if they were just dancing. They'll probably collapse with exhaustion from losing so much energy from dancing as well as what you're doing." She could feel herself starting to feel a little less energetic than she was before talking to the Litwick, and that had not been much. "What if I brought you someplace else where you could get energy? Or find an alternative?" She was sure they could find someplace or something else that would satisfy the Litwick's needs as well as keep the student body safe from losing too much energy.
Flower stared steadily at the candle Pokemon. She remained calm, despite him calling her 'landfish' again and rudely telling her to be quiet. Her trainer was trying to reason with him, it seemed, but she doubted he would listen to her. <If you don't like that offer, we could always battle. If you lose, we get to bring you someplace else to gain energy for your light. If we lose, you can do as you please.> Battling was always fun, so why not use it to get this Litwick to listen? She would show him that they were not to be messed with.

Zoey's Litwick listened to her proposition, but he was not buying it. Who was she to tell him what to do? Besides, how did he know he could trust her? <They are of no concern to me,> he retorted. They were food for him and nothing else. Where could she possibly find a replacement? It seemed to him that she was trust trying to get him to leave, and he would have none of that! He looked back at the Mudkip when she spoke. A battle? Well, that did sound pretty fair. It was better than her trainer's idea anyway. <Fine. Let's battle.> A determined look crossed his face as he got into a battle stance. <You go first, landfish.> Once he won, he could do what he wanted!
Kiki's Litwick continued to stay still as she gazed out at the party-goers. It seemed like some of them were dancing now. Excellent. They would think they were tired from the exercise and not her and her friends. She started to suck more energy from Kiki since she was near here, and she found herself wondering when she would notice. The ghost type was not going to let on that everything was wrong. Her lips were sealed.

Sinnoh... Sawyer could only remember meeting one person from Sinnoh besides that one guy she had battled in a tournament. Oh! Nate's words refreshed her memory. Now she could remember that afternoon. It had been awhile ago and they had not seen each other since, which was probably why it took awhile for either of them to remember each other. "Right. Of course. Well, it's good to see you again." She gave him a slight smile. She felt more comfortable now that she remembered him. Then the song ended, and she stopped dancing and looked around awkwardly. What were they supposed to do now?
Kopa thought Watcher's second idea was a good one. <You can go,> he said, nodding at Willy. It seemed the most fair.

Kiki began to wonder why she was feeling so tired. She was not dancing, and watching others dance could not make her tired. She glanced down lazily at the Litwick. What was that Pokemon all about? She was too tired to take out her Pokedex and check. She remembered some warning about Litwick. This one seemed harmless, though. She was not hurting her... was she? Then she remembered. Litwick drained the life forced of living things! "Hey, are you makign me tired?" she asked the ghost type sleepily. At this rate, she would not be able to do anything about it if she was.

Gary smirked at Faith's compliment. "Thanks," he said. He was pretty good, wasn't he? It might not be as cool as his tornado adventures, but it was still up there. He then followed her gaze and grinned at what he saw. "Yes, they are. That's great. The point of a ball is to dance and have fun, after all." Though, for some reason, he was suddenly feeling tired. That was odd. He did not think he had been dancing that hard. He turned back to Faith to see what she thought. "Do you want to get some punch? I think I need a break after all of my slick mvoes."
Tornado smiled and waited patiently for his turn to eat.

Nate smiled and nodded. "Yeah, you too." He also felt much better now that he recognized her. The two of them got along pretty well. He hoped they could be friends. He stopped moving once the song was over. He was going to ask her to dance to the next song, but a wave of tiredness suddenly came over him. "Do you want to get some punch and see what our Pokemon are up to?" He did not think they would be getting into any kind of trouble, but it would still be good to check on them.
As Watcher waited for his turn, he realized he was suddenly feeling tired. That was odd...

Zoey wished she knew what the Litwick was saying. How come he knew what she was saying, but she didn't know what he was saying? She blinked when he took a battle stance. She looked at Flower, who had taken a battle stance as well. "You ready for battle?" she asked her Mudkip.
Flower nodded when the Litwick agreed. Good. She took a battle stance and stared at her opponent with a serious expression. She was going to beat him. She was a water type, after all. <Yes,> she said to her trainer, glancing up at her. She looked back at the Litwick. <I'm ready.>
Zoey nodded. "Alright." If they were able to capture the Litwick, then he would be unable to drain anyone's energy. Looking around, she spotted a couple more of them. She was not sure what they were going to do about them, but they would just worry about that later. "Okay, Flower. Let's begin with Tackle!" She wondered if having a random battle in the gym would be a huge disruption, but it was too late to bother about that now. besides, the students' health was on the line!
Flower was excited to get this battle started. She knew she was going to be able to win this; she was strong! When her trainer called out the first move, she gladly ran forward to tackle the Litwick. The ghost type was in the air, but she could jump up to him.

Zoey's Litwick did not think that the Mudkip looked very tough. Even though she was a water type, she did not look strong enough to know many water moves. The Litwick, on the other hand, knew a whole bunch of moves already. As long as he used good strategy, this would be in the bag! He blinked when the trainer asked the landfish to use Tackle. Really? Amateurs. He just stayed there, floating in the air, while the Mudkip attempted to attack him. Instead of hitting him, she passed right through him as if he weren't there. <Normal attacks won't work against ghost Pokemon,> he said haughtily. Then he swooped down and shouted at the Mudkip. That was a real attack!
Kiki's Litwick smirked when she asked her a question. <Yes, I am,> she said unapologetically. <I'm making everyone tired. What are you going to do about it?> She did not see the trainer's Pokemon anywhere. From a distance, she could see her friend battling, but she was sure he could take care of himself. She could do the same if it came down to it. That life force just tasted so good!

Faith nodded at Gary's comment. "Yeah. That's right." That was exactly what she had been trying to tell Sawyer. She was glad her friend finally listened to her and agreed to dance. Gary must have gotten through to Nate as well. They looked pretty good together. Now, why was she suddenly feeling so tired? They had only danced to one song. She was surprised when Gary vocied her thoughts, but she was grateful he was the one to bring it up. "That sounds good." She smirked at his last comment.
Willy looked around at the other Pokemon and smiled. They were so nice! He hoped they could all be friends after this. <Thanks!> he stepped forward and ate a litttle bit of the food. Then he stepped back to let someone else have a turn.

Sawyer liked Nate's suggestion. The last dance had been fun, but she was not sure if she was up for another one. And now that she thought about it, she was feeling pretty tired. She thought that was odd but dismissed it was a combination of nervousness and physical exertion. She would be fine. "Sure. That sounds good." She turned and started for the food table where the Pokemon had gone. She hoped they were staying out of trouble and had found some food. She wanted them to have a good time as well. They had been invited, after all.
Kopa waited for Willy to finish eating. When he stepped back, he hesitated to see if anyone else would move forward. When they did not, Kopa walked up tot he bowl and started to eat. This stuff was pretty good!
